Chapter 137: Chapter 137

[Next Week Event For: Warhammer: Starting as a Planetary Governor!!] [200 PS = +1 Extra Chapter!!]

Raising his head slightly, Eren's deep black pupils seemed to pierce through the smoke-charred brick walls, catching sight of the uninvited "guests."

Seeing one distinct aura after another, Eren's lips stretched into an exaggerated curve, his grin growing wider by the second.

"Well, well, quite a crowd, huh?"

"Looks like I'll have to give these guests a proper welcome."

From his pocket, Eren retrieved a piece of wire he had fashioned into a makeshift key. With a few deft movements in the lock, a faint click echoed, and he gripped the doorknob.

Behind the door.

Four Hydra agents, pressed against the wall and holding their breath, tensed as they heard the faint sound of the doorknob turning.

Carefully, they aimed their silenced pistols at the door.

These were no ordinary agents. They had been assigned to eliminate the mysterious figure who had single-handedly dismantled many of Kingpin's operations and even gone toe-to-toe with the Iron Monger without flinching.

They couldn't afford to be careless.

Just as their attention was fully locked onto the door, a low voice suddenly spoke from behind them.

"Hey, what are you all looking at?"

The unexpected voice sent a shiver down their spines. In an instant, they spun around, weapons aimed at the source.

"Swoosh!"

"Swoosh!"

"Swoosh!"

"Swoosh!"

The moment they turned, their necks were cleanly sliced by near-invisible threads. Blood seeped from the precise lines on their throats as their bodies stiffened.

Eren smirked at the gruesome scene.

Having spotted the Hydra agents lying in ambush behind the door, Eren had deliberately used his makeshift key to draw their attention. While they were distracted, he had slipped in through a window, silently wrapping his Threads of Malice around their necks.

Once his trap was set, he simply greeted them—and the startled agents, in their haste, practically "offered their heads" to the threads.

The result? A grisly scene that Eren couldn't help but mock.

As the scent of blood filled the room, Eren wrinkled his nose in mild disgust.

"Ugh, you're stinking up my perfectly trashy residence."

With a flick of his finger, the Threads of Malice tightened, consuming the agents' bodies and souls in an instant, leaving no trace of blood behind.

The threads, seemingly meticulous, even absorbed the splatters, as though protecting the integrity of the fire-damaged home.

Having "warmly welcomed" his first four guests and sent them into eternal rest, Eren turned his gaze toward the staircase leading to the second floor.

There, more important "guests" awaited his attention.

Humming softly, Eren strolled upstairs, making no effort to mask his footsteps.

The sound of his steps quickly reached the ears of the Hydra agents stationed on the second floor.

Hearing the approaching noise, a squad leader with piercing blue eyes frowned in irritation.

What are those idiots downstairs doing? Letting the target reach the staircase like this? Are they trying to tip him off?

As the leader prepared to reprimand the supposed underlings coming upstairs, a figure wearing a clown mask casually appeared at the top of the staircase.

The leader froze for a moment before realizing the truth.

"Attack!"

He shouted the command to his team while raising his Uzi submachine gun, aiming directly at Eren.

Before he could pull the trigger, however, the thunderous roar of Eren's M500 revolver echoed.

The leader's head exploded in a spray of red and white, painting the walls.

Without missing a beat, Eren fired four more shots, each one claiming the life of another Hydra agent before they could react.

"Wow, that's disgusting," Eren muttered, eyeing the gore-soaked second floor with distaste.

"This place is too filthy now. Guess I'll need a new hideout."

As Eren considered his options, the deafening sound of his revolver alerted the other Hydra operatives hiding in the building.

In the only clean room left in the house, Brock stood by the Iron Monger's head, his expression filled with disbelief.

He had assumed capturing Eren would involve a grueling interrogation to locate the Iron Monger's head.

But the moment he entered the building, he found the prized trophy casually dumped in a corner of this room.

At first, Brock thought it was a trap.

After numerous careful tests, however, he realized all his efforts had been a waste of time.

To Eren, the Iron Monger's head was nothing more than an ordinary keepsake—something so insignificant that he hadn't even bothered to secure it.
