Chapter 75: Chapter 75
"Oh, is that so?" Uzumaki Chito's tone was calm, almost amused.
It was the first time he'd seen someone remain so bold after being caught red-handed.
The Eight-Tails in groaned inwardly, This idiot, he has no idea who he's dealing with.
The Nine-Tails, chimed in sarcastically, It seems your choice of host isn't much better, huh?
Nearby, Might Guy and Neji Hyuga exchanged a silent glance, as if lighting a metaphorical stick of incense for Killer B. In their hearts, they admired his bravery—or foolishness.
"I respect you for being brave," Neji thought silently.
With a casual snap of his fingers, Uzumaki Chito rendered Killer B unable to speak. His actions were effortless, almost dismissive. Despite Killer B's words, he wasn't interested in killing him. He was far too valuable alive. As a prisoner of war, Killer B, the host of the Eight-Tails, could be exchanged for an extraordinary amount of supplies.
The real question was how to negotiate for his worth.
Having subdued Killer B, Uzumaki Chito turned his attention back to Naruto. The situation surrounding him had stabilized significantly. Inside Naruto's consciousness, the Nine-Tails growled in frustration as it felt a powerful force pulling it back into its sealed cage.
It was Minato Namikaze—Naruto's father—strengthening the Eight Trigrams Seal once more, ensuring Naruto wouldn't accidentally unleash the beast or fall prey to its influence again.
"Minato Namikaze, you fool," the Nine-Tails grumbled, "Must you always go to such lengths?"
Just as it had begun to enjoy its brief freedom, the Nine-Tails was forcefully drawn back into Naruto's subconscious.
Naruto returned to full consciousness, his mind sharper and more composed than before. The ordeal seemed to have left him stronger. He realized he could now control up to five tails of the Nine-Tails' power.
"Grandpa," Naruto asked, turning to Uzumaki Chito with hopeful eyes, "Can my dad really come back someday?"
As an unparalleled force in the ninja world, Uzumaki Chito was one of the few who could answer such a question with authority. After all, he had once resurrected the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"Yes, but not yet," Uzumaki Chito replied.
Naruto's eyes sparkled with determination. Knowing it was possible gave him a newfound sense of hope.
With Killer B subdued, the group set out to track Kakashi's whereabouts. Through Uzumaki Chito's perceptive abilities, they learned that Kakashi was in a dire situation, locked in a fierce battle with the Fourth Raikage.
Using his Sharingan, Kakashi had momentarily placed the Raikage under an illusion and fled, but his injuries left him vulnerable. It wasn't long before the Raikage caught up with him.
Kakashi was badly wounded, his body barely able to evade the Raikage's relentless attacks. Blood gushed from a deep wound, his vision blurring as his strength waned.
The Fourth Raikage loomed over him, his expression cold and merciless. He raised his hand for another devastating blow, intent on finishing Kakashi off. To him, a traitor to Konoha was hardly worth keeping alive.
Kakashi closed his eyes, preparing for the inevitable.
But the pain never came.
When he opened his eyes, he saw a pale, jade-like hand blocking the Raikage's attack. The furious chakra infused with lightning dissipated into nothingness, completely neutralized by Uzumaki Chito's power.
The Raikage recoiled, quickly retreating to create distance. His normally unshakable composure faltered as he recognized him.
The tales of Uzumaki Chito, a figure who had once nearly destroyed Kumogakure, were no mere legends. He was the nightmare of Cloud village's history, a force so fearsome that even the First Hokage had intervened to spare their destruction.
Though skeptical of those old stories, the Raikage could no longer deny his overwhelming presence.
"I want him dead," the Raikage growled, sneering as he glared at Uzumaki Chito. "You can't save him."
His confidence came from the damage he'd inflicted. Kakashi's body had been ravaged by the Raikage's Lightning Release. Even if he were saved, the injuries would likely leave him crippled.
"You're awfully confident for someone so weak," Uzumaki Chito said, shaking his head. "Even your predecessors knew better than to speak to me like that."
His words carried a weight that made the Raikage grit his teeth in frustration. Yet his pride would not let him back down.
"My strength surpasses even the First Hokage's! What could an old relic like you possibly do?"
Chito's eyes narrowed. "The arrogance of today's youth never ceases to amaze me," he muttered. With a cold snort, he extended his hand, channeling pale green chakra into Kakashi's battered body.
The Raikage watched in disbelief as Kakashi's wounds began to heal at an incredible rate. The injuries inflicted by his Lightning Release—damage so severe it destroyed the very chakra point of the body—vanished before his eyes.
"How... how is this possible?" he stammered.
Ignoring the Raikage's shock, Uzumaki Chito turned to him. "Let me show you where your so-called strength truly stands."
Raising his hand, he summoned an immense surge of chakra, drawing power from the very elements around him.
The skies darkened, heavy clouds swirling as thunder roared and lightning crackled across the heavens. The sheer force of her technique shook the earth beneath their feet.
"You like lightning? How fortunate. So do I," he said with a chilling smile.
With a wave of his hand, a massive bolt of lightning struck down from the storm, targeting the Raikage. He barely rolled out of the way in time, only to find himself under a relentless barrage of strikes.
Each bolt was more powerful than the last, tearing apart the ground and leaving the Raikage no room to escape. He could do nothing but endure the assault, his once-proud figure reduced to a shadow of its former self.
When the storm finally subsided, the Raikage's scorched, motionless form lay amid the smoldering ruins. Though not dead, he was gravely injured, his charred skin a testament to Uzumaki Chito's overwhelming might.
