Naruto: An Uchiha With A Superpower Roulette

Chapter 372: Chapter 372

"This… this isn't right. I have a husband..."

Hinata's face showed hesitation before she firmly rejected, tears glistening at the corner of her eyes as she turned and walked away.

"Cut!"

Director Wada's sharp command echoed through the set. He approached Hinata and Yoichi, clapping enthusiastically. "Excellent, Hinata-san! I knew I wasn't wrong about you—you were born to be an actress! Your performance over these past few days has been exceptional."

Yoichi couldn't help but smirk internally. After all, the role was tailor-made for Hinata—it would have been harder for her not to fit.

With a constant stream of compliments from Director Wada, who was one of the most famous directors in the ninja world, Hinata couldn't help but blush. "You're too kind, Director-san. It's all thanks to your guidance…"

"While I might give a bit of direction to new actors, this success is all yours, Hinata-san. If you don't believe me, just ask Hanabi-san," Wada replied with a knowing smile.

Hanabi eagerly chimed in, "Nee-san, you were amazing! You really have a knack for acting!"

"Really?"

Hinata's face turned even redder, but her heart swelled with joy. She had always loved watching dramas, and the thought of seeing herself on screen was exhilarating. The experience of the past few days boosted her confidence, making her feel more drawn to acting.

As long as her family didn't need her urgently, Hinata was ready to dedicate herself fully to the production.

"I didn't expect to see you acting, Yoichi-san. I thought you'd only focus on brewing your potions," Hanabi commented, surprised at his involvement in the drama.

Yoichi replied casually, "The director approached me with an offer, promising to advertise my shop in return. Plus, acting in a drama seemed interesting—a good way to pass the time. By the way, Hinata-san, your performance earlier was outstanding."

"You're too kind, Yoichi-san. Your acting was far superior," Hinata responded with a polite bow. She wasn't lying—his intense gaze during their scene had made her heart race with unease.

After some casual conversation, Yoichi excused himself and left the set.

Taking advantage of a break, Hinata pulled Hanabi aside, holding the script in her hand. "Hanabi, why does the script have a kissing scene? Isn't this… inappropriate?"

"Nee-san, it's a romance drama—of course, there's going to be a kissing scene. Hehe, are you worried about upsetting Naruto?" Hanabi teased with a laugh. "Why not talk to him about it tonight? If it bothers you, we can ask the director tomorrow to either cut the scene or use a double."

"Wouldn't that trouble the director?" Hinata said, concerned. She always prioritized others' feelings over her own, even if it meant inconveniencing herself.

"This is the only solution," Hanabi replied with a shrug.

Hinata clenched the script tightly. After a short break, she was called back to shoot the next scene.

Most of the scenes that followed went smoothly, with only one requiring a retake. Hinata received numerous compliments, further deepening her fondness for acting.

As the sun set, Director Wada announced the end of the day's filming. As everyone began packing up, he called out, "Wait a moment—Yoichi-san, Hinata-san, and Hanabi-san, please stay for a bit."

He handed each of them a box, explaining, "These are the latest mobile phones developed by the drama's investors. They combine the functions of a phone and a computer. There's a manual inside—please try them out at home."

Hanabi examined the phone curiously. "Oh, this is the one advertised on TV the other day. It looks so sleek!"

"Indeed. This won't be officially released until next month. Thanks to the investors, we managed to get a few early units for the cast. Please accept them," Wada said with a smile.

Hinata and Hanabi expressed their gratitude and accepted the gifts. After wrapping up, the sisters went to pick up Himawari from the Hyuga household.

Walking through the streets, the two sisters attracted many admiring glances, especially Hinata, who was still in full makeup. Her appearance was far more striking than her usual homemaker look.

After bringing Himawari home, Hanabi stayed over and helped prepare a lavish dinner, jokingly calling it a celebration of Hinata's first day as an actress.

When Naruto returned, the family, along with Hanabi, sat down to enjoy the meal.

"How was today's shoot, Mom?" Boruto asked eagerly, barely chewing his food. Before Hinata could answer, Hanabi jumped in, "Nee-san did amazing! The director praised her so much. Once this drama airs, you'll see her on TV!"

"Really, Mom? That's awesome!" Boruto exclaimed with a big grin. "I'm going to be the son of a celebrity!"

Naruto, feeling a bit left out, interjected, "Hey, Boruto! You're already the son of the Seventh Hokage!"

"Being the Hokage's son isn't anything special. Being the son of a celebrity is way cooler!" Boruto retorted, clearly unimpressed. He was already basking in the attention from his classmates after bragging about his mom's new role.

"How could you say that…" Naruto's face fell, prompting laughter from Hinata, Himawari, and Hanabi.

The evening passed with lively chatter, with Hanabi showing off the new phone and explaining its features, much to Boruto's envy and Naruto's curiosity.

Later that night, Hinata wanted to talk to Naruto about the kissing scene in the script. However, when she returned to their room, she saw him fast asleep. Deciding not to disturb him, she quietly set the script aside.
