Chapter 181: Chapter 179: Awakening of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki!

Chapter 179: Awakening of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki!

As Black Zetsu's words sank in, the cocoons hanging from the Divine Tree began to tremble. They greedily absorbed the chakra of the people ensnared within.

"Ahhhhh!"

Madara screamed in agony as black cracks spread from his chest, engulfing his body.

His chakra surged uncontrollably, climbing to unfathomable heights.

Moments later, the earth beneath them fractured violently, and blue pillars of chakra shot skyward before converging into Madara's body.

---

"This is bad!"

"That chakra—it's even more terrifying than the Ten-Tails!"

"We have to stop him before he fully transforms!"

The remaining shinobi who were still standing—Minato, Shisui, and the others—felt a wave of despair crash over them. Without hesitation, they decided to act.

"What about us?"

Mei Terumi, sensing the impending calamity, turned to Uchiha Yi for guidance.

---

"No need to rush," Yi replied calmly.

"The shinobi world is far more complex than you imagine."

"This is just the tip of the iceberg—some players are still waiting to make their moves."

---

Mei's expression darkened. Yi's cryptic words made her question everything she thought she understood about the ninja world.

---

Elsewhere, Minato and Shisui exchanged a determined glance. Without further hesitation, they lunged toward Madara, intending to put an end to his transformation.

---

"Insects daring to oppose destiny!"

Black Zetsu sneered, effortlessly manipulating Madara's long white hair. The strands extended outward, binding Minato and Shisui mid-air like steel chains.

---

"Fools! I'll drain your chakra as well!"

"Don't worry—you won't die. Kaguya once used Infinite Tsukuyomi to preserve people in a similar state. You'll soon become part of her army!"

---

"What are you talking about?"

Minato, struggling against his bonds, demanded an explanation.

---

"It's simple. Those trapped in Infinite Tsukuyomi are gradually transformed into White Zetsu!"

Black Zetsu's voice was thick with malice as he explained.

---

Madara, his body trembling as he absorbed more chakra, managed to croak, "Zetsu, what are you saying?"

"Infinite Tsukuyomi brings peace to the ninja world! The stone tablet, left by the Sage of Six Paths, clearly says so!"

---

Black Zetsu laughed mockingly.

"Oh, Madara… I've lived far longer than you. I had all the time in the world to find the Sage's tablet—and alter its contents."

"The Infinite Tsukuyomi you believe in was a lie I fed you to fulfill Kaguya's plan. You've been nothing more than a pawn in my mother's game!"

---

Madara's heart sank as realization dawned.

"This… can't be…"

---

Despite his pain and rage, Madara could do nothing as his body swelled uncontrollably. Blue and white chakra enveloped him, transforming him into a large black sphere.

---

The black mass quivered, changing shape until it morphed into a tall, ethereal woman.

Her skin was ghostly pale, her long hair shimmering blue and white like fine silk. She wore a white robe adorned with black tomoe patterns. Her eyes were pure white Byakugan, and a single Rinne Sharingan rested in the center of her forehead.

---

"Is that… Kaguya Ōtsutsuki?"

Minato and Shisui, now released from the hair's grip, stared at the figure in awe and terror. They could feel the overwhelming chakra radiating from her, dwarfing even the Ten-Tails.

---

Kaguya slowly opened her eyes, scanning her surroundings. Her gaze eventually settled on Uchiha Yi.

---

"You… are…" Kaguya's voice was calm and cold, tinged with an otherworldly echo.

"Hagoromo… no, Indra?"

---

She floated toward Yi, her long hair trailing behind her like a silken veil. The air around her seemed to ripple with her presence.

---

"Hello there," Yi greeted casually, as though meeting an old acquaintance.

"I'm Uchiha Yi."

---

Kaguya's brows furrowed slightly. "What is your relation to Hagoromo?"

---

Yi waved a hand dismissively. "Don't know him, don't care to know him."

To his surprise, Kaguya didn't immediately attack. Instead, she seemed oddly intrigued by his presence.

---

Meanwhile, at Mount Myōboku…

"Naruto, the Great Toad Sage has summoned you!"

Shima and Fukasaku, the elderly toad sages, appeared before Naruto and Kushina.

---

"Why would the Great Toad Sage want Naruto?" Kushina asked warily.

She didn't fully trust the toads, but she knew Minato had placed his faith in them. Reluctantly, she allowed Naruto to accompany the sages.

---

As she watched her son leave, Kushina couldn't shake a sense of foreboding. "Please… let Minato be okay," she whispered to herself.

---

Atop the mountain, the Great Toad Sage awaited Naruto.

"Wake up, Asura," the sage intoned, its deep voice resonating through the air.

---

Naruto blinked in confusion as an ancient power surged within him. His body trembled as a foreign chakra, vastly different from the Nine-Tails, began to overwhelm him.

---

The change was rapid and absolute. Within moments, Naruto's original chakra was entirely consumed.

---

Far away, Kushina's maternal instincts screamed. She turned to Shima and Fukasaku, panic etched across her face.

"Why can't I sense Naruto's chakra anymore?"

---

The elderly toads exchanged uneasy glances but remained silent.

---

Back at the battlefield, Kaguya continued to study Yi. Her expression remained neutral, though her aura carried a palpable tension.

---

"You're not like the others," she finally said.

Yi smiled faintly. "And you're not what I expected, Kaguya."

Minato and Shisui watched in tense silence, unsure whether this strange interaction would lead to salvation or destruction.
