Naruto: God Reborn

Chapter 32: 32

Chapter 39: Wrath of a God

The sound of splintering wood echoed through the chamber as Aizen's foot connected with the heavy door, reducing it to shards with a single kick. Dust and debris swirled in the light as he stepped inside, his eye glinting with amusement.

Danzo sat at his desk, his expression stern, though a flicker of unease crossed his face as his gaze locked onto the intruder.

"So, you've come," Danzo said coldly, his tone steady despite the situation.

Aizen smirked, his hands resting casually at his sides. "Did you really think I would let you live after your audacious attempts to control me? A mere ant trying to manipulate a god. Such hubris cannot go unpunished."

Danzo's lips curled into a faint sneer. "You speak of gods, but even they can bleed. You overestimate yourself, boy."

Before Aizen could respond, Fu and Torune sprang into action. The two Root operatives moved in perfect unison, their tanto blades flashing as they charged.

---

Fu came at Aizen from the left, his blade slicing downward in a precise arc aimed at Aizen's neck. At the same moment, Torune attacked from the right, thrusting his tanto toward Aizen's chest.

Aizen shifted his body slightly, his feet gliding across the floor as he avoided both strikes. His left hand shot up, catching Fu's wrist mid-swing, while his right arm twisted, deflecting Torune's blade with the back of his knuckles.

Torune pivoted, using the momentum of Aizen's deflection to spin into another attack. He swept his blade horizontally toward Aizen's midsection, but Aizen leaned back, the edge missing him by mere millimeters.

Fu, undeterred, spun his tanto in a reverse grip and lunged forward. Aizen caught the blade between two fingers, holding it effortlessly in place.

"Is this truly the best you can do?" Aizen asked, his voice dripping with disdain. He twisted his wrist, snapping the blade in half and sending Fu stumbling back.

---

Torune leaped back and threw a smoke bomb. He unleashed his rinkaichū. The tiny insects buzzed as they spread through the air, blocking Aizen's view and creating a suffocating haze.

From within the smoke, Torune's voice rang out. "You may be powerful, but my insects will feed on your cells until there's nothing left!"

The buzzing grew louder as the insects swarmed Aizen, clinging to his body. The poison began to work, eating away at his cells, but Aizen stood motionless, his expression blank.

When the smoke finally cleared, Fu was already in position, his hands forming the seal for the Mind Transfer Jutsu. "It's over," Fu declared as his spirit shot toward Aizen's mind.

---

Aizen's body tensed for a moment, his head tilting slightly as if acknowledging the intrusion. Then, his eye gleamed with contempt.

"You dare attempt to invade my mind?" Aizen said, his voice calm yet menacing. "The difference between your feeble spiritual energy and mine is like that between a puddle and an ocean. Did you truly think you could swim in my depths without drowning?"

Fu gasped, his jutsu forcefully repelled. He stumbled back, clutching his head in agony.

---

Torune snarled. "Your spiritual energy won't be enough to save you from my rinkaichū."

The insects continued to feed on Aizen's cells, their buzzing filling the room. But Aizen showed no distress. Instead, he closed his eyes, his expression serene.

A faint purple glow surrounded Aizen, emanating from his body like an aura. The rinkaichū halted, their movement growing sluggish before they fell lifelessly to the ground.

Torune's eyes widened in disbelief. "What… what did you do?"

Aizen opened his eye, his gaze piercing. "Your insects are no more."

---

Fu and Torune locked eyes with Aizen, their bodies trembling under the weight of his reiatsu. Aizen smiled faintly. "You made a grave mistake in meeting my gaze. Let me show you the price of your folly."

In an instant, the world around Fu and Torune twisted. Shadows grew long and distorted, and the air felt heavy with despair. The two operatives froze, their eyes wide as they became trapped in an illusion of Aizen's making.

To the outside observer, they stood motionless, their minds lost in a nightmare they couldn't escape.

"With them out of the way," Aizen said, turning his attention to Danzo, "we can finally settle this."

---

Danzo frowned, his hand twitching.

Aizen chuckled, stepping forward. "Relax, Danzo. I won't bother with illusions. Why should I, when I can destroy you with my own hands?"

The tension in the room was intense as the two prepared for the battle to come. The air crackled with energy.

Let's see if the man who dared challenge a god can put up a fight," Aizen said

Chapter 40

Danzo stood in his chamber, his frown deepening as Aizen's mocking voice echoed in his mind. The flicker of reiatsu that marked Aizen's vanishing act left a faint, oppressive weight in the room. Danzo clenched his fist, knowing he had no choice but to confront the self-proclaimed god.

Making his way above ground, he emerged in a clearing surrounded by dense forest, the moonlight casting pale shadows over the area. Aizen stood at the center of the field, arms crossed, his posture relaxed yet exuding unshakable confidence.

"I've given you enough time to prepare," Aizen said, his tone laced with condescension. "Come at me with everything you have. There's no need to hold back; I've already cast a barrier around this area. No one will interrupt us."

Danzo's sharp gaze scanned the surroundings, confirming a faint shimmer in the air that signified the barrier. The containment was flawless—no outside interference, no escape. He bit back his irritation at Aizen's audacity, knowing full well this wasn't a bluff.

You're as arrogant as ever," Danzo growled, unclasping the bandages on his right arm to reveal the ten Sharingan embedded within. The grotesque sight would intimidate most, but Aizen remained unmoved, his smirk growing wider.

Aizen raised an eyebrow. "A crude amalgamation of stolen power," he said, his voice tinged with disdain. "But I suppose it will suffice to entertain me."

Danzo's right eye glimmered ominously, the remnants of Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan hidden beneath his bandages. "Let's see if you can match your arrogance with power."

---

Danzo moved first, his hands a blur as he formed a series of seals. "Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere!"

A series of compressed wind bullets shot toward Aizen with tremendous speed. The air hummed with the sheer force of the technique. Aizen stood still, lifting his hand as his Reiatsu flared. The bullets disintegrated upon contact with the dense spiritual energy surrounding him, scattering harmlessly.

Before Aizen could taunt further, Danzo closed the distance in a flash, his kunai coated in wind chakra slashing toward Aizen's throat. Aizen stepped to the side with Shunpo, his movement so fast it left an afterimage. Reappearing behind Danzo, he thrust his palm forward, aiming for Danzo's back.

Danzo twisted mid-strike, raising his arm to deflect the attack. The force of Aizen's blow sent him skidding across the ground, but he recovered quickly, launching another Wind Release: Wind Wave. The massive blade of wind tore through the clearing, uprooting trees and sending debris flying.

Aizen's figure blurred again as he used Shunpo to dodge, appearing high above Danzo. With a graceful sweep of his hand, he unleashed a powerful wave of Kido energy. The destructive force crashed down toward Danzo, obliterating the ground and leaving a smoking crater in its wake.

---

The First Death

Aizen's eyes flicked to the edge of the crater, where Danzo's body laid motionless, partially buried beneath rubble. He descended slowly, his smirk widening.

"Is that all?" Aizen mocked, stepping closer to the fallen shinobi.

But then, the air shifted. A sudden surge of chakra rippled through the battlefield, and Danzo's body vanished. Aizen turned, his eyes narrowing as Danzo reappeared several meters away, unscathed.

"Interesting," Aizen murmured. "That was no ordinary substitution. You were killed just now. How are you standing there, alive and well?"

Danzo smirked faintly but didn't answer.

Aizen's gaze flicked to the arm, his sharp intellect piecing together the mystery. "I see. Those eyes aren't for decoration. You've found a way to cheat death."

---

Danzo charged again, his movements fast and calculated. He weaved between Aizen's strikes, his kunai slashing and stabbing with deadly precision. Aizen countered each attack with Hakuda, his strikes precise and devastating.

Danzo ducked under a punch, slamming his palm into the ground. Wooden spikes erupted from the earth, surging toward Aizen. Aizen leaped into the air, avoiding the initial attack, but Danzo was already on him.

"Wind Release: Vacuum Serial Waves!" Danzo shouted, exhaling a barrage of wind blades from multiple angles.

Aizen's Reiatsu flared as he deflected the blades mid-air, the sheer force of his spiritual energy disrupting their trajectory. He countered with a wave of violet Kido energy, forcing Danzo to retreat.

Danzo landed, panting lightly. Blood seeped from a wound on his side, but he didn't falter. He raised his hand, summoning the Baku. The massive, tapir-like creature emerged with a deafening roar, its mouth opening wide to unleash a powerful suction.

The Baku's pull distorted the battlefield, drawing in debris and amplifying Danzo's Wind Release attacks. Aizen braced himself against the pull, his Reiatsu acting as an anchor.

"An interesting pet," Aizen remarked, raising his hand. "But it's in my way."

He unleashed a concentrated blast of Reiatsu at the Baku, the attack piercing the creature's body and causing it to dissipate in a burst of smoke.

---

The Second Death

Danzo used the distraction to close the distance, his kunai aiming for Aizen's heart. The blade connected, sinking deep into Aizen's chest.

But Aizen didn't flinch. Instead, he grabbed Danzo's wrist, pulling him closer. With his other hand, he delivered a devastating strike to Danzo's chest, shattering ribs and sending the shinobi flying backward.

Danzo's body hit the ground with a sickening thud, unmoving.

Aizen approached slowly, his golden eyes gleaming with satisfaction. But then, the familiar surge of chakra returned. Danzo's body dissolved, and he reappeared once more, unharmed.

Aizen's smirk faltered slightly. "Again?

Danzo didn't respond. Instead, he activated another Sharingan on his arm, the eye closing as the technique took effect.

---

Aizen's Transformation

Aizen's amusement faded, replaced by a cold intensity. "Very well. If you can cheat death, then I'll simply kill you enough times to exhaust your tricks."

His Reiatsu flared violently, the ground cracking beneath him. His body began to change, the Hōgyoku's influence taking hold. His form shifted, regressing back to his weaker, butterfly form.

Danzo's eyes widened slightly as he assessed the transformation. "What is this power?"

Aizen didn't answer. He vanished in a blur of speed, reappearing behind Danzo and delivering a powerful kick to his back. The force sent Danzo crashing into a tree, but he used the momentum to flip and land on his feet.

"Let's see how many times you can return," Aizen said, his voice resonating with the Hōgyoku's power.
