Chapter 1: chapter 1 The Fall and Rebirth

Chapter 1: The Fall and Rebirth

----

The neon lights of Tokyo blinked rhythmically, casting a kaleidoscope of colors across the rain-slicked streets. The air was heavy with the scent of damp asphalt and fast food, mingling with the faint hum of passing cars. Among the bustling crowd, a lone figure trudged forward, his silhouette dark and hunched, as if burdened by the weight of the world.

Haru Sato, a young man of 24, was a dreamer living a nightmare. His name meant "joy and light," but his life had been anything but. Born into a working-class family, Haru had always found solace in drawing, creating fantastical worlds that offered an escape from his harsh reality. His dream of becoming a manga artist had kept him going through years of struggle, but now, that dream seemed further away than ever.

In his hands were the pages of his latest manga, his blood, sweat, and tears etched into every panel. Yet, these works, his pride and hope, were met with rejection after rejection. "Not good enough," "Doesn't fit the standard," the publishers would say.

Now, Haru found himself working part-time at a McDonald's to make ends meet, his ambitions buried beneath the weight of survival.

As he walked home under the glow of streetlights, his steps heavy with disappointment, fate decided to intervene.

The collision happened in an instant. Haru, lost in his thoughts, accidentally bumped into a stranger. The impact sent the precious pages of his manga flying, scattering across the road like fallen leaves.

"Ah! No!" Haru cried, scrambling to retrieve them.

He darted onto the street, oblivious to the glaring headlights of an oncoming truck. By the time he looked up, it was too late. The world slowed to a crawl, the truck barreling toward him in agonizing clarity. His life flashed before his eyes-a montage of struggles, dreams, and unfulfilled desires.

Haru closed his eyes, accepting his fate.

----

A sharp, searing pain jolted him awake. He gasped, his breath ragged, as he opened his eyes to an unfamiliar scene. He was lying on a cold wooden floor, the room around him dimly illuminated by moonlight streaming through a cracked window. The air was thick with the metallic scent of blood.

Bodies surrounded him, lifeless and mangled, each bearing sword wounds. Panic surged through him as he tried to sit up, only to be met with an excruciating pain in his left arm. He looked down and froze.

His left arm was gone, severed cleanly at the shoulder. Blood oozed from the wound, staining his clothes and pooling beneath him.

"Ahhhh!" His scream echoed in the deathly silence.

Clutching the stump of his arm, he tried to process his situation. Before he could make sense of the horror, a splitting pain erupted in his head, like a thousand needles piercing his skull. Memories that weren't his own flooded his mind-images, emotions, and knowledge of a life he hadn't lived. When the pain subsided, Haru realized the truth.

His name was no longer Haru Sato. He was now Haruto Uchiha, a Jonin of the Uchiha Clan. A member of the Uchiha Police Force, Haruto had been one of the few to awaken the fully matured Sharingan, the clan's legendary eyes. He was renowned, even feared, among his peers.

But tonight, that legacy was shattered. This was the night of the Uchiha massacre. He remembered the chilling events from his past life as a Naruto fan. The masked man, Obito Uchiha, and Itachi Uchiha had decimated the clan. Haruto had died in the onslaught, his body now taken over by Haru's soul.

The realization hit him like a tidal wave. His mangekyō Sharingan had awakened, a result of witnessing the slaughter of his comrades and loved ones. But his newfound power came at a price-his body was broken, and he was missing an arm. He had to act quickly if he wanted to survive.

Suddenly a glowing blue screen materialized before him, disrupting his thoughts.

[System fully awakening now...]

[Mission Alert

Mission: Unknown enemies are

approaching. They are hostile and will kill

you. Escape without being detected.

Failure: Death.

Reward: Beginner's Pack.]

Haruto blinked in disbelief. A system? This was new. But there was no time to question it. He needed to escape. The Uchiha district was on the outskirts of the village, providing a narrow window of opportunity to flee.

Summoning all his willpower, Haruto forced himself to his feet. Blood loss and pain made every step agony, but survival was his only goal. He knew the Root, Danzo's secret black ops unit, would be guarding the area to ensure no survivors escaped.

As he navigated the carnage, he stopped in front of the clan head's residence. A flicker of hesitation crossed his mind before he entered.

----

The sight inside was grim. Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha lay lifeless, their bodies sprawled in a pool of blood. Haruto's chest tightened. In the memories he had inherited, Fugaku was his older half-brother, a figure of respect and rivalry. Mikoto... she

L was a kind presence, someone the previous Haruto had admired deeply.

But sentimentality had no place here. Haruto's mangekyō Sharingan would eventually blind him if overused. He needed the eternal mangekyō, and Fugaku's eyes were the key.

Steeling his heart, he knelt beside Fugaku's body and carefully extracted his eyes, sealing them in a scroll he had found nearby.

"I'm sorry, brother," he muttered before leaving.

----

The Naka Shrine was his destination. Haruto remembered the secret passage hidden beneath the Uchiha stone tablet, a relic only a few elites knew about.

Hepushed the tablet aside, revealing a narrow underground door. With no time to waste, he descended into the darkness.

The stone tablet slid back into place, sealing the entrance and masking his escape. Haruto leaned against the cold wall, his breath ragged. He had survived for now. But the challenges ahead would be far greater.

So, Haruto walked along the dark passage of the underground tunnel evading the danger up above.

To be continued....
