Naruto: My Sign In System Is Too Overpowered

Chapter 11: C10: The Late King, Kakashi

Becoming a ninja wasn't easy.

Even at the age of four or five, children had to prove they could mold chakra before being allowed into the Academy.

Once inside, they spent five to six years training, and to graduate, they had to master the Three Basic Techniques—Clone Jutsu, Transformation Jutsu, and Substitution Jutsu.

Many students failed.

Naruto's class originally had forty students. But after the graduation test yesterday, only a third remained.

Despite how "simple" the Three Basic Techniques seemed, mastering them required talent.

Naruto himself had almost failed because of his struggle with the Transformation Jutsu.

If not for Mizuki's interference and the incident with the Forbidden Scroll, he wouldn't even be sitting here today.

---

Iruka stood at the podium, reading from a list.

"The members of Team 7 are Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura, and Uzumaki Naruto."

"YES!"

Sakura practically jumped out of her seat in excitement.

She was finally on the same team as Sasuke-kun!

But then…

"…Wait. WHAT?! WHY AM I STUCK WITH NARUTO?!"

Her excitement vanished instantly.

She turned, glaring at Naruto.

For years, he had been annoying, loud, and constantly chasing after her. The idea of being on the same team as him made her want to scream.

But when she looked over, expecting to see Naruto celebrating or trying to flirt with her…

He wasn't even paying attention.

Instead, he leaned back lazily in his chair, met her gaze—

And flipped her off.

Sakura froze.

"…Eh?"

Naruto rolled his eyes and looked away, completely uninterested.

Veins popped on Sakura's forehead.

"NARUTO—YOU LITTLE—!!"

But before she could explode, Iruka continued reading, forcing her to hold back her rage.

Meanwhile, Naruto just smirked.

He was done wasting time on Sakura.

Why would he keep chasing after her?

There were plenty of girls with better personalities and bigger… assets.

Sakura?

Not interested.

---

More teams were assigned.

"Team 8: Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame."

"Team 10: Choji Akimichi, Shikamaru Nara, and Ino Yamanaka."

Hearing her placement, Ino collapsed onto her desk.

"…Why?! Even if I couldn't be with Sasuke-kun, at least give me two hot guys! Not a lazy bum and a fat—"

She clamped her mouth shut before she finished the sentence.

But it was too late.

Choji stopped eating his chips.

Slowly, he turned his head. His eyes burned with rage.

"...Fat?"

The air turned heavy.

Choji stood up, fists clenched.

"YOU WANNA SAY THAT AGAIN, INO?"

Before things got violent, Shikamaru grabbed Choji's arm.

"Hey, man. Chill. Not worth it."

"B-But she—"

"Troublesome…" Shikamaru sighed. "It's not even lunchtime yet."

Meanwhile, Ino waved her hands frantically.

"Hahaha! I-It was just a joke, Choji! You misheard me!"

Iruka, noticing the commotion, raised his voice.

"Ino! Choji! Shikamaru! Sit down! From now on, you're a team, so get along."

Reluctantly, they sat.

But Ino?

She was already regretting her placement.

---

Once all the teams were announced, Iruka gave a few final words of encouragement before leaving.

And then—

Chaos.

With no teacher around, the students immediately broke into chatter.

Over the next half-hour, Jonin instructors arrived one by one to pick up their teams.

One by one, students left.

Until, after an hour, only three remained.

Naruto.

Sasuke.

Sakura.

Sakura sighed, leaning toward Sasuke.

"Umm… Sasuke-kun, what kind of teacher do you think we'll get?"

Sasuke, arms crossed, barely acknowledged her.

"…Dunno."

Cold.

Distant.

Sakura deflated instantly.

Still, she refused to give up.

She glanced at Naruto—expecting to see him looking at her like always.

But he wasn't.

Instead, he was asleep.

Not just asleep—snoring.

And drooling.

"…This idiot."

Sakura gritted her teeth.

Usually, Naruto would be begging for her attention right now.

But today?

Nothing.

No dumb pickup lines. No childish attempts to impress her.

Not even a glance.

Sakura didn't know why, but…

She didn't like it.

For some reason, Naruto ignoring her felt… weird.

---

Three Hours Later…

At this point, it was nearly lunchtime.

Sasuke leaned back in his chair, clearly annoyed.

Sakura had completely given up, slumped over her desk, staring at the door.

Naruto?

Still sleeping.

Then, finally—

Creeeeaaak.

The door slowly opened.

A silver-haired man in a mask peeked inside. His visible eye curved into a lazy smile.

"Yo."

Naruto opened one eye, muttering under his breath.

"…Took you long enough, Kakashi."
