After learning of this from Loki, it is basically a sure thing. Ottar is dead, but now she wants to know what Ottar's death got in exchange for, as Loki will definitely not come here for no reason.

If there are enough and important enough things in exchange for Ottar's death, then Freya felt it would be a good deal.

"Yes, we really couldn't hold onto that brute, Ottar. And no, we didn't kill him. Your soul-seeing ability is just too troublesome. If it weren't for Ottar, I wouldn't be here talking to you now!"

"There's an interdimensional passage on the 23rd floor of the dungeon. It leads to another world, a world where souls can be used to enhance power. Recently, my children have been hunting creatures there and collecting souls. As for Ottar, he entered that world before we could secure a proper defense."

Loki paused, her expression darkening as she recounted what happened. "He ended up provoking a powerful being in that world. By the time we found him, he was already dead. We couldn't bring his body back, so we buried him there."

"But this secret couldn't be kept from you, Freya. The presence of that other world has altered the nature of souls in this one. Ottar's soul, however, holds no useful information for you now. You could reveal this information, but it wouldn't serve you well."

"If this secret gets out, the Loki Familia won't be able to monopolize that world. In that place, adventurers can grow stronger at an accelerated rate, even breaking past their limits."

"My proposal is simple: we share the information and resources from that world, but you must help us keep this secret. Together, we can control the narrative and prevent others from discovering the truth. Even if it is discovered, no one will dare to provoke us."

Loki laid out her plan, knowing that forming an alliance with Freya wasn't her first choice. But under the circumstances, she needed Freya's cooperation. Normally, she would have preferred to work with others, but necessity dictated otherwise.

"So, an interdimensional world? It seems Ottar's death has provided me with quite the opportunity. Very well, let's cooperate!" Freya agreed, a smile creeping onto her lips.

From Freya's perspective, Ottar's death was a small price to pay for such a valuable opportunity. With access to the resources from this other world, she could easily forge a second, or even a third, Ottar.

The alliance with the Loki Familia would ensure that the secret was kept, and Orario's two most powerful Familias would have the upper hand.

"You're as ruthless as ever, Freya. You talk about Ottar's death like it's just another transaction!"

Loki remarked, a hint of displeasure in her voice. She valued her Familia members as family, and Freya's cold pragmatism didn't sit well with her. Their outlooks were fundamentally different.

"To me, he was just a tool. As long as his death was worth it, there's no problem at all!"

Freya said dismissively. Her subordinates were utterly devoted to her, and even if she cast them aside, they would remain silent and loyal. Freya never worried about betrayal from her followers, as even if she abandoned them, they would still act as her sycophants.

Freya mused. With the knowledge of the world's power enhancement methods, she realized the loss of a Level 7 adventurer was a small price to pay. The opportunities it provided could allow her to produce many more Level 7 adventurers in time.

After receiving the information from Loki, Freya kept the details confidential and gathered her Familia. Unlike Loki, who had to be wary of her members, Freya's followers were unwaveringly devoted to her.

No matter what she did, they would never betray her. Even if she commanded them to die, they would follow her orders without hesitation. It could only be said that her allure was indeed formidable.
