Chapter 50: Wind vs Rotation
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
A/N: Umm, Hi everyone.
So, I noticed, I got Shadow Clone Jutsu a bit wrong. Let's blame it on how long ago I watched the series.
This is supposed to be as cannon accurate as possible, so let's retcon.
-> Let's just say Aki's version is one he improved with years he practiced on it.
-> Which he achieved while trying to convert normal Shadow Clone Jutsu to a Multi-version.
---> I'll be going back to re-edit and put in details that show Aki improved the jutsu.
Normal Shadow Clone Jutsu never had a character make more than six clones.
It is probably the limit of the jutsu.

LET THE CHAPTER BEGIN.

Aki's reflection rippled beneath his feet as he stood on the surface of the shimmering lake, surrounded by the familiar waters of Kumogakure.
"Let's do it again," Aki said as he prepared to test his new and improved Rotation jutsu once more.
Although he had eliminated the need to rotate his body from the technique, why did he still call it Rotation?
The chakra expelled from his body still went in rotation, but because he wasn't rotating along with the chakra, this required a much higher level of chakra control.
The chakra control he acquired from achieving Rasengan and the medical ninjutsu training he received.
Aki did not activate the Rotation Jutsu just yet. He wanted to test his own reaction time along with the defense it provided.
"Wind Release: Homing Blades."
Silk-like chakra left his fingers and started to condense near him as he applied Chakra's nature transformation of wind to it.
The nature transformation and his fine control allowed this chakra to materialize. He now had his vision covered by a gathering of wind blades scattered across the water surface in a battle formation, ready to shred anyone into pieces.
"Rotation."
His every tenketsu released Chakra which later curved to cover his entire body and made a rotating forcefield around his body.
While he activated Rotation Jutsu, Aki also made a curving gesture, giving the huge formation of wind blades its first order, and then.
It was a spectacle of sheer destruction. The wind blades that covered an entire expense of space comparable to a cricket stadium, struck with unified precision.
The combined force of the blades created a surge of wind pressure so intense it felt as though the air itself was being torn apart.
Every blade made waves rise on their way, each blade deadly enough to slice a Jonin in two.
The barrier of chakra he had created with Rotation shattered on impact; The barrier barely held till the final blade struck. Otherwise, the consequences would be unimaginable.
He lowered his hand and steadied his breathing, "Not yet." It wasn't the perfect control he was aiming for, if the timing was even slightly off the jutsu made to kill a Kage, at least on his level, would hit him precisely where it hurt.
Aki wanted to train his reaction speed. He didn't like one bit that he almost failed to react in time and almost got killed at his own hands. Not to mention the Rotation Jutsu was a pure disaster, a poor attempt.
If it wasn't his first attempt and if his control over Homing Blades wasn't a bit lacking. The novel would end right this chapter.
With that in mind Aki got to practice, but right before he released another wave of wind blades, he remembered something.
"Shadow clone jutsu."
A total of eight clones appeared in his vision, "Yo, everyone let's play a game." Aki said to different versions of himself.
"It's on" one of the clones exclaimed, "What is it."
Aki mused at his own reply and continued, "Rules are simple: one of you has to defend and the other will attack. You can only use 'Rotation' for defense and 'Wind Release: Homing Blades' for offense."
"But the defender cannot employ rotation till the entire field is covered in wind blades by their opposing pair."
This gave them clear instructions and the game was designed to be harder for the defender. Not every clone defended successfully every single time.
This forced Aki to actively summon additional clones for hours.
Aki practiced for a few hours before it was time for breakfast. Leaving the clones to continue practicing, He moved his feet.
Aki sprinted across the water, the rippling surface barely disturbed by his movements and later traversed the mountain peak with wall walking, he reached the top of the mountain.
Using a combination of body flicker and flash step, Aki navigated streets of village and arrived at the restaurant.
Aki felt famished, so he immediately shouted upon entry, "One big steak and a bowl of ramen please."
"Coming right up"
As he waited for the food, Aki stretched out his legs and leaned back in his chair. The aroma of freshly prepared food filled the air as he rubbed his hands together.
When the food finally arrived, he enjoyed it with relish, savoring each bite.
After finishing his meal, Aki's next stop was the Byakugan cloning lab. Today was its final day before shutting down for good.
Arriving at the lab, he was greeted by the familiar sight of white walls and sterile machinery. The atmosphere was subdued, the staff quietly dismantling equipment and packing data.
Kuro stood by the central console, overseeing the final stages of the shutdown. He straightened when he noticed Aki. "Aki-sama. You're just in time."
Aki nodded, his eyes scanning the room. "Everything on track?"
"Yes. The sensitive equipment is being destroyed as planned, and your copy of the data is also ready," Kuro replied, gesturing to a technician holding a storage scroll.
Aki approached the technician in shinobi attire, who handed him the scroll with a bow. "This contains everything—chakra flow mappings, regeneration cycles, dojutsu compatibility."
Aki turned the scroll over in his hands. He didn't fully trust this research, but he couldn't bring himself to abandon it either. One day, it might prove vital.
"Remember," he said in a low voice, "this lab never existed."
Kuro nodded. "As far as anyone's concerned, it was a failure."
Satisfied, Aki left the lab. He might later be studying this again, after all he wanted all of humanity to be ready for the Otsutsuki clan.
What better way than an entire army of human ninjas equipped with different Kekkei Genkai and Dojutsu? Imagine the Otsutsuki come and look at how ready humanity is for them, they just leave.
Only time would tell if Aki will be able to achieve this dream of his or would end up doing it in some other unforeseen way.
Seasons changed, and the days blurred together as Kumogakure prepared for its participation in the next Chunin Exams. Aki, now fourteen along with his students, watched the preparations unfold from the sidelines.
This should be noted here that the Chunin Exams are a biannual event, with hosting village rotating every year.
It did not take much effort to join this event. Kumogakure shinobi were a welcome addition, but they could not yet acquire hosting rights.
Kumogakure will only be able to get the hosting rights 4 years later. A year after the cannon is set to start, Aki would be 17 by then. It wasn't certain if he would still be at Kumo at that point.
Parents could be seen helping their children get ready for the journey at every house. Host this time was the Leaf Village.
All participating genin, which included Aki's students, would leave for Konohagakure soon.
Aki could not join his students, as he received a notification from a passing ANBU, that Raikage forbade him from tagging along.
"This is lame. No more lovely students," Aki chuckled at the thought, "Should I go rogue now? Itachi should be 16 by now. So, I'm pretty darn sure Akatsuki should've formed."
"But I should probably go and say goodbye to my students first." Deciding to act upon that thought Aki left his usual training place, the third training peak at Kumogakure.
Aki activated his Byakugan so he can see where exactly his 3 students are. So, he can go ahead and say both hello and goodbye.
His vision revealed all 3 of them were racing towards, 'What a surprise.'
Kaito, Sayuri, and Ryuu all packed up and ready, running towards the third peak. Aki hid with a jutsu to see if they were really, coming for him.
Kaito kicked up a cloud of dust as he ran with seemingly unlimited energy and came to a sudden halt near the training zone, just an inch away from the arena at the epicenter.
Ryuu appeared beside him with the body flicker technique, "Idiot" as he stood next to Kaito in a completely relaxed posture. Both of their eyes darted around as if looking for something.
Ryuu was doing his best to integrate the Body Flicker Jutsu into his daily life in hopes of one day achieving the mastery Aki had mentioned before.
Sayuri also appeared just a bit later and immediately went to the railings. She could not be bothered to look around as she knew where to look if Aki wasn't on top of the mountain.
"Come let's jump he should be there," Sayuri called out to the boys as she jumped over with practiced ease.
"Oh yeah," Kaito shouted back, speeding towards the railing, and jumped over from a distance. Ryuu once again just Body Flickered near the railing.
And then with a relaxed posture, he jumped over as well.
"Well, fuck," Aki, who was watching from nearby, cursed, as this was what he had told them. If they couldn't find him on the peak, he would be below, on the water surface, training in some crazy jutsu.
"Aki, bro-sensei, where are you?" Kaito shouted at the top of his lungs as he landed.
