Chapter 45: 45. It taste soo Holy?
Kisame strolled through the shrine, muttering to himself. His sharp teeth gleamed as he licked his lips, lost in thought.
"That cheeseburger," he murmured, almost drooling. "The juicy patty, the melted cheese... It was divine. Too bad they don't have beef here. What kind of world doesn't have beef?"
As he wandered deeper into the shrine,
"moo~"
A strange sound caught his attention—a faint, unmistakable moo.
Kisame blinked, his grin faltering. "What in the...?"
As he followed the voice he reached a dimly lit chamber end of corridor. His eyes widened as he stepped inside.
In the center of the room stood a cow.
But this wasn't just any cow.
This cow was draped in luxurious golden robes embroidered with intricate symbols. A gleaming crown sat atop its head, with jewels that sparkled in the flickering light.
Kisame gaze shifted to the wall beside the cow, where a series of inscriptions were engraved in an ancient script.
"Behold the Sacred Cow, Avatar of the Divine! Those who seek its favor must devote their lives to its service. The Priestess of the shrine shall offer her faith, her soul, and her unwavering devotion to this holy being, for it is the bridge between mortals and the heavens. If she faills world will face warth of Divine!"
Kisame took a step back, his grin returning with a mischievous edge. "Well, that's... something."
The cow, as if sensing his presence, turned its head toward him and let out a long, lazy moo.
Kisame stared at it for a moment, then gave a small nod. "You're the VIP cow called wagyu that Hiroshi was taking about?"
Cow noded, may be she was thinking that this weird looking ma was here for pay respect, but.
Kisame blinked. "Well...
...
shrine's kitchen.
Hiroshi stood over a makeshift grill, flipping patties with precision. The aroma of sizzling 'beef' filled the air, and he couldn't help but smirk.
"Kisame, where did you even find this beef?" Hiroshi asked, placing a slice of cheese on the patty.
Kisame, who was leaning casually against the doorway, stiffened. "Uh... what beef? That's, uh... imported."
Hiroshi narrowed his eyes. "Imported? From where? We're in the Land of Demons."
Kisame scratched the back of his head, avoiding eye contact. "You know... just... around. Don't worry about it."
Hiroshi's suspicion grew. He's definitely hiding something.
But before he could press further, a loud voice interrupted.
"Are those... for everyone?" The priestess, Shion asked, her lavender eyes wide with excitement.
Hiroshi chuckled, handing her a plate. "Try one. Let me know what you think."
Shion hesitated for only a moment before taking a bite. The moment the flavors hit her tongue, her entire body froze. Her eyes widened, and a faint blush spread across her cheeks!
"This... this is...!" she gasped, her voice breathy. "It taste soo holy!"
She clutched the burger like it was running away from her, taking another bite and letting out a soft moan.
"Ahhh~"
Her knees buckled slightly, and she dropped on table.
Hiroshi glanced at Shion, then back at Kisame. He sighed, deciding to drop the topic.
After Shion ate her fill she immediately rushed toward her room.
"No harm done, I guess," Hiroshi muttered, flipping another patty. "Just... don't let me find…
also clean that 'holy water' from the table."

Kisame hummed to himself as he wiped down the table where Shion had been sitting just moments ago. His shark-like grin widened as he spotted a small, shiny bell resting on the table.
"Well, what do we have here?" Kisame said, picking it up with two fingers. He examined it curiously, giving it a little shake. The faint 'ting' echoed softly in the room.
But before Kisame could toss the bell into his pocket, it suddenly jolted out of his hand and zipped through the air, flying toward the doorway like it had a mind of its own.
"Whoa!" Kisame stumbled back in surprise.
The bell shot out of the room like a bullet, heading toward Shion's direction.
"Uh… guys?" Kisame called out, his grin fading into confusion.
Before anyone could respond, a deafening "BOOM" erupted outside.
"What the hell was that?" Hiroshi muttered, already heading toward the exit with Nova's voice buzzing in his ear.
Konan, Sasori, and Kisame followed closely behind, their steps quick and purposeful.
As they stepped outside, a terrifying sight greeted them.
A massive, serpentine creature loomed over the horizon. Its dark purple body stretched endlessly into the sky, twisting like a nightmare brought to life.
Seven dragon-like heads snarled and snapped, their glowing red eyes glaring down at the humans below. Each head had a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth, and their tongues flicked out, glowing an unnatural blue.
Surrounding the creature was a dence—purple aura that pulsed ominously.
"What... is that thing?" Konan asked, her voice steady despite the shock in her eyes.
"That," Nova said in Hiroshi's mind, "is Mōryō, and he's not from this dimension."
Hiroshi's brow furrowed. "What do you mean, 'not from this dimension'?"
Nova's tone was grim. "He's a being from a completely different plane of existence. Normal attacks won't work on him."
Konan stepped forward, her paper wings forming behind her.
She launched dozens of explosive paper tags at the closest head. The tags wrapped around it, and a moment later, a massive explosion tore through the air.
But as the dust cleared, the head was completely unscathed.
"Not even a scratch," Sasori observed, stepping up beside her. "Fine. My turn."
From Sasori's cloak, a large puppet emerged, its fingers firing dozens of poison-tipped needles at the monster. But the needles bounced harmlessly off Mōryō's aura, dropping to the ground like raindrops.
"Ugh, this is annoying," Kisame growled, unsheathing his giant sword, Samehada. He swung it with all his might, sending a massive wave of water slicing through the air. The water slammed into one of Mōryō's heads, but it had no effect.
The demon didn't even flinch.
Hiroshi stood back, watching as his team's strongest attacks failed one after another.
"Roooarrr!"
Mōryō's heads roared, the sound so loud it felt like the ground itself was trembling.
"This is pointless!" Kisame shouted, frustrated. "Nothing's working!"
Nova's voice interrupted. "Only gravity will work on him, Hiroshi. Gravity is one of the few forces that can affect other dimensions. But it's going to drain a lot of your chakra."
Hiroshi's lips pressed into a thin line. "Fine. If that's what it takes, I'll do it."
Hiroshi raised his hand, his fingers forming a series of rapid hand seals. The air around him grew heavy, and the ground beneath his feet cracked as a powerful gravitational force began to build.
"Gravity Release: Event Horizon,"
Above him, the sky darkened, and a swirling black sphere formed, pulling everything toward it. Mōryō's heads roared in unison as the gravitational pull began to take effect.
The demon's massive body dragged toward the sphere. The aura surrounding it flickered, trying to resist the pull, but the force was too strong.
Hiroshi clenched his teeth, sweat beading on his forehead as the strain of protecting other from his own jutsu began to take its toll.
"Keep it together, Hiroshi," Nova said. "You've got this."
Hiroshi roared—injecting last of his chakra in event horizon in one go.
The gravitational pull intensified, and one by one, Mōryō's heads were stretched and distorted, their forms breaking apart under the crushing force.
Finally, with a deafening roar, the demon's body collapsed into the black sphere—black sphere disappeared before it can consume others.
As Hiroshi saw the black sphere faded, he staggered slightly, his chakra reserves nearly depleted.
Konan approached him, "That was... " what Konan saw today, 'it was like planetary devastation of rinnegan!'
"Yeah, yeah, that was cool," Kisame said, leaning on Samehada. "But where's the cheeseburgers? That fight worked up an appetite."
Hiroshi shot him a tired glare. "You're unbelievable."
Sasori merely crossed his arms, staring at the spot where Mōryō had vanished. "What the hell was that thing doing here in the first place?"
Hiroshi shook his head. "Good question. But right now, all I want is to lie down for a while."
Nova's voice chimed in. "Don't relax just yet, Hiroshi. We still have work to do...,
