Gu Xingxi instructed Yakumo Kurama and Nara Rokusei to keep his possession of the Mangekyo Sharingan and the Celestial Fang a secret.

Yakumo Kurama then voiced his concern: "But what should we say if someone asks why we have no injuries?"

Nara Rokusei replied, "Because Gu Xingxi possesses advanced medical ninjutsu skills, which is why we've both recovered."

Gu Xingxi praised, "Smart, just as I expected from my chosen tool. Everyone knows I can perform medical ninjutsu; they just don't know how proficient I really am."

Yakumo Kurama nodded, showing he understood. Shortly after their discussion, the Third Hokage arrived with the Anbu.

The Third Hokage and the many Anbu, seeing the bodies strewn about, felt a chill due to the gruesome manner of death—most were bisected at the waist—and they urgently needed an explanation from the trio standing there.

The Third Hokage asked, "Gu Xingxi, what exactly happened here? Where is that old lady Chiyo?"

Gu Xingxi replied, "She's dead. They ambushed us about two kilometers from the border of the Land of Fire. When we reached their ambush point, Chiyo and her group used a combination Wind Release ninjutsu to kill many of our ninjas, then followed up with close combat puppetry, nearly annihilating everyone. After killing her targets, Chiyo tried to flee, but I pursued her vigorously and killed all the Hidden Sand ninjas who were in ambush."

The Third Hokage, shocked, asked, "Why were most of the ninja killed by bisecting at the waist?"

Gu Xingxi explained, "My Moon Blade attacks mainly target the waist. Our side was mostly slashed by their Wind Release."

The Third Hokage then inquired, "What about these two?"

Gu Xingxi responded, "These two are the only survivors. I saved them using the medical techniques taught to me by Bai Qian, the supreme deity of Qing Qiu."

The Third Hokage, infuriated, remarked, "That old lady Chiyo is relentless, attacking twice and succeeding both times."

Gu Xingxi admitted, "This time was my mistake; last time it was Lord Danzo Shimura's fault."

Hearing about Danzo, the Third Hokage quickly asked, "What about Danzo? Did he not come back with you, or..." He dared not think the worst.

Gu Xingxi explained, "Lord Danzo was injured by a poisoned needle in his eye. The toxin has spread to his brainstem. He would die if Tsunade didn't treat him daily, so I didn't bring him back with me."

The Third Hokage replied, "That's good then. Let him stay with Tsunade for treatment."

At that moment, Shouko and Tobirama Senju also arrived and seeing the devastation on the battlefield, broke out in cold sweat.

Shouko immediately approached Gu Xingxi and asked, "Are you alright?"

Gu Xingxi patted Shouko's head and said, "I'm fine." He then asked Tobirama, "How's Minato?"

Tobirama replied, "He's in the hospital. He was injured on his left side by their combined ninjutsu, but he's out of danger now."

Gu Xingxi thought to himself (Minato almost lost his kidneys; whether an injured man can still give birth to Uzumaki Naruto is a good question).

Gu Xingxi then told the Third Hokage, "Far over there are bodies we found on the battlefield that can still yield intelligence. We should hand them over to the Yamanaka clan."

The Third Hokage nodded and instructed the Anbu to take the bodies back.

The Third Hokage then said, "Let's head back and rest for today. After these two losses, most of the elite of the Hidden Sand Village are dead. Things should be easier for Hatake Sakumo now."

Gu Xingxi added, "After all, with both Ebizo and Chiyo gone, that should pain them for a while." The Third Hokage nodded in agreement and they headed back.

Back in the village, Gu Xingxi bid farewell to Tobirama and provided Yakumo Kurama and Nara Rokusei with an address, then walked with Shouko toward the Uchiha clan territory.

On the way, Shouko asked Gu Xingxi, "Can you get me one of those 3D maneuver gears?"

Although puzzled at first, Gu Xingxi quickly realized Shouko probably didn't want to hold him back; she really was thoughtful and loving.

Gu Xingxi immediately opened the system store and exchanged 1000 points for a complete 3D maneuver gear.
