Naruto: Wood-Wood Fruit

As Kiyoshi made his way back from Root Headquarters, he noticed Anko was still around but had already fallen asleep. Quietly, he slipped into Kurenai's room and set up a barrier.

"Kiyoshi, you're back."

Kurenai, gently rubbing the sleep from her eyes, looked up and saw the striking figure she'd missed so deeply. 

She smiled with pure joy and immediately wrapped her arms around him. Her mischievous younger brother hadn't forgotten her, he'd come back and sought her out first.

"Kurenai-nee."

Looking at her, dressed in a silky purple nightgown that highlighted her beauty and allure, Kiyoshi couldn't help feeling a wave of warmth. 

He lightly wrapped his arms around her slender waist, savoring the sweetness of the moment.

"Kiyoshi, you shameless flirt." Kurenai teased, slightly breathless, her cheeks flushed with a rose-pink hue as her eyes sparkled like water. 

Holding his face close, she gazed at him with a mix of longing, indulgence, and a touch of possessive affection. 

Although they had done everything, they hadn't yet crossed that final line. 

However, Anko's interference had left Kurenai with a new sense of urgency, she knew Anko's bold and carefree nature would leave her no opportunity to hesitate. 

Since she was here first, she at least wanted to be his first.

"Remember, little pervert, don't forget your nee-chan."

With a trace of playfulness and deep affection, Kurenai took the lead.

Morning arrived, sunlight streaming golden through the window, casting a soft glow over the entwined figures lying together. 

Exhausted yet content, Kurenai stirred awake. She had refused Kiyoshi's offer to heal her, cherishing the precious memory of their first night. 

"Kiyoshi..." Kurenai murmured, catching his eyes and blushing deeply.

"Kurenai-nee, you're beautiful." Kiyoshi said with a heartfelt smile, unable to take his eyes off her captivating face. Gently, he held her, his admiration genuine.

"You sweet talker." Kurenai smiled faintly, her heart swelling with happiness as she leaned into his embrace. After last night, their bond had deepened beyond any words.

"What's that?" 

Kurenai asked curiously, her gaze drifting to the nightstand, where she noticed a fruit that looked like a red apple, etched with spiral patterns, exuding a strange allure that seemed almost magical, compelling her to taste it.

Kiyoshi smiled as he noticed her gaze.

"It's called a Devil Fruit. It's hard to explain, but I brought it specifically as a gift for you. It's true power… you'll understand when you eat it."

"But," he added with a grin, "it doesn't taste very good."

Knowing the fruit's origins and the brutal process behind its growth, Kiyoshi decided not to burden Kurenai with that knowledge. 

Maybe one day she'd understand, but by then, he was sure she'd see it differently.

"A… Devil Fruit?" Kurenai murmured, intrigued by its exotic name and unusual appearance.

"The taste is even worse than it looks," Kiyoshi admitted. "But compared to the power it grants, that small sacrifice is easily worth it. So, will you eat it?"

Trusting Kiyoshi implicitly, Kurenai smiled, "Since it's a gift from you, I'll definitely eat it." 

She took the fruit, gave it a brief polish, and then, under his encouraging gaze, took a bite.

Immediately, her face twisted in shock, her complexion shifting from green to pale. 

She pressed a hand to her mouth, fighting back a strong urge to gag, and glared at him with her red eyes. 

"This is awful. Kiyoshi, you're not playing a trick on me, are you? How could anything taste this bad?"

"Kurenai-nee, there's no turning back now," Kiyoshi said seriously. "Since you've started, you have to finish it."

Unlike the standard Devil Fruits, these artificial ones only worked to their full potential if the entire fruit was consumed. If she didn't eat the whole thing, the effects might be severely limited.

"Fine." Seeing that he wasn't joking, Kurenai closed her eyes and forced herself to swallow each bite, enduring the indescribable taste.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she managed to finish it. She exhaled with relief, a weightlifting off her.

"What exactly was that?" Kurenai looked at him, bewildered. "With a taste that awful, 'Devil Fruit' is the perfect name."

"Just wait—you'll know soon enough." Kiyoshi's mysterious smile only made her glare at him with mild irritation as she settled in to wait.

Sure enough, soon after, Kurenai's expression shifted. Her eyes began to glow with a red aura of chakra as she looked at Kiyoshi in astonishment.

"This?"

"Yes," Kiyoshi confirmed with a slight smile. 

"It's a forbidden jutsu I developed myself, using Wood Release abilities even stronger than the First Hokage's. 

I combined those with Bloodline traits to create a fruit that grants the user a Kekkei Genkai."

Kiyoshi looked straight into her eyes, speaking openly. 

"The power you've gained is the 'Red Eyes,' a legendary ability that disappeared with the Warring States Period—an ability said to be the natural enemy of the Byakugan."

Seeing Kurenai's amazement, he nodded. "Its power is overwhelming, as you're already beginning to understand. It's not an illusion, it's very real."

Kurenai looked at him, stunned. Her vision had transformed, and now, she could see through him as if with X-ray vision. 

She observed his internal organs, nerves, blood vessels, and even his chakra path, laid out as clear as day. 

Her gaze drifted unconsciously toward the village outside, her vision cutting through obstacles until she saw the bustling streets coming to life in the morning light.

"I can see through solid objects." Kurenai murmured in awe, stunned by the discovery. "And I feel there's even more to it."
