The rain had slowed to a drizzle, leaving the streets damp and shimmering under the glow of neon lights. Somewhere in the distance, a siren wailed before cutting off abruptly, swallowed by the restless hum of the city.

Naruto stood atop a high-rise, his eyes scanning the sprawl of steel and circuitry below. The fight from earlier still pulsed in his mind—every movement, every counter, every strike. His body had moved faster than it ever had before, reacting on instinct, but that wasn't all. A pause. Then, the voice spoke again. "Ghost Division. A covert extermination unit. Their job is to erase problems before they become threats. You've become a problem."

Naruto smirked. "Let them come."

The voice hesitated, as if considering him. "You don't understand. They don't stop. They don't fail. And they're not just machines. They're something worse."

Something shifted in the air—an unease that prickled at the edges of Naruto's senses. The voice was right. This wasn't over.

But he wasn't afraid.
