Chapter 2303: Primordial Beast of Pride



"To think that it would take me that long to escape that prison. It was so demeaning to be trapped in that gourd without any way to escape. Fortunately, I am so great that I bided my time to destroy the copy of that artifact. I would have escaped as well even if it was the real thing but that is just a small challenge." The Primordial Beast of Pride stated as he is currently heavily damaged and resting in an abandoned underground system.

The Primordial Beast of Pride is still trapped in the human body that he was sent inside of. He might have broken through the binding that made him follow the commands of the organization that the other Primordial Beasts of Sin have agreed to, but he cannot shed the mortal body. Whatever mortal body that they used for him seems to have some special abilities which disables his ability to separate the soul.

"I need to rest after all. A beauty rest is all I need to recover these missing limbs. I guess the world favors me after all since I was not caught by them and lost their trail completely. They believe that I am no longer in the eastern continent when I am just below the largest city where Immortals gather. What better place to siphon energy from when all the pride of being a martial artist is swimming in the air." The Primordial Beast of Pride stated as he smiled. Among all of the Primordial Beasts of Sin, the Primordial Beast of Pride is the only one that did not want to partake in this deal. The only reason that he got caught up is due to the fact that the Primordial Beasts of Sin are connected in a strange way. All of them are like a collective which is why anything that happens to one or more will be the fate of the others.

"Thanks to Wrath weakening, I was able to escape. If all of them die, then I guess I will be the last one standing to absorb all of their essences. To be reborn as the True Beast of Sin, I just need to be patient. A majestic being like me will bide his time while recharging my energy in this prideful city." The Primordial Beast of Pride stated with a smile as he started to meditate to recover the missing limbs.

"Of all the primordial beast of sin that will escape, you had to make the most devious one escape!" Chiyou stated as his anger could be felt.

"All of my underlings are already giving chase to him as we speak. He seems to have escaped to the central continent which some of our people are also making moves as well. It will only be a matter of time given that he was heavily injured while escaping." Chimei stated.

"The plan will get major setbacks with that psychotic being on the loose. If he does not make a move, then nothing will change but that prideful monster will definitely ruin our plans. Make sure to handle it or else it will be your head on the chopping block, Chimei." Chiyou stated as he entered his abode to heal the injuries that he got.

"I always put my head on the line, Chiyou. It would have been great if I could separate that head of yours from your neck, but I stop myself from troublesome thoughts." Chimei whispered softly but she knows that Chiyou would definitely hear what she said.

"All of you, inform the ones in the central continent to carry the plan out while looking out for the Primordial Beast of Pride. Any disturbance should immediately be reported to me as I will deal with that beast personally. It is not only Chiyou that could move away from our beloved continent after all." Chimei stated as she returned back to her own pagoda as well.

"I am now sick of monsters." Peridot stated as her mana is almost gone.

"I think I did too much healing to the point that I gathered all of their aggro." Levin Cloud added as he spent more time running away compared to healing his team members.

"The only one happy is the undead brat because he has a mission to collect a million undead." Lycan stated as Creepysoo could be seen happily storing undead.

"I got too excited with the battle as well that I got a Drunken status due to so much blood flying about." Solstice stated.

"Why are they grumbling, Papa?" Soleil asked her father.

"Sometimes adults do that my cute princess but make sure that you do not become like that when you are an adult. You should be like Big Brother Kabrakan that is just sitting there peacefully and looking up at the sky." Vayu stated as he also looked tired.

"I think he already zoned out because of being tired as well." Levin Cloud teased.

"Great work out there!" Frey stated as he tapped Kabrakan since she just arrived.

"Huh? What! Are there still more?!" Kabrakan suddenly exclaimed which made all of them laugh out loud.

"Where is Equinox?" Frey asked as she looked incredibly refreshed from killing thousands of enemies atop Sirius.

"He is talking with the gods regarding the information." Solstice stated as she pointed towards four individuals having a discussion a bit far from their current location. "Sorry did you guys wait long?" Adrian stated as he finally returned back to the group.

"So, what did they say?" Levin Cloud asked as he is the most curious among them.

"It seems that some assailants have been targeting their temples for months now. Back then only one temple a month has been hit but the occurrences increased to the point that the gods needed to be involved. The things that they took from the temple are items that can gather divine energy, but they should only be usable by the western continent gods which is why even they do not know why thy are sealing it." Adrian explained.
