They have always said that cats are demon spawns because of the way they react to certain things, but this is the first time that I have ever seen an actual cat turn into a demon. It was not just an ordinary demon but an Arch Demon because he was none other than the Lord of Avalon Equinox. A demon that has been blessed by both the Twin Gods to be their champion when it comes dealing with their enemies.

The Arch Demon that appeared in front of me is undoubtedly powerful as his mere presence made everyone in the room shudder. His overall presence is incredibly overwhelming that my legs started to become weak. Fortunately, all merchants have strong willpower which is why only their legs gave out when he appeared.

"Let us start with an introduction then. Asmodian Prowess!" The Lord of Avalon Equinox stated with a calm but confident voice.

I did not know how it happened, but a throne adorned with the most beautiful jewels that shined in deep colors appeared behind the Lord of Avalon Equinox. I thought that I was seeing things but the other merchants around me also muttered the same thing which means I have not yet lost my mind. I have been told that the Lord of Avalon Equinox is a summoner, but can normal summoners suddenly summon a throne they can sit on?

When the throne was summoned, all of us suddenly felt a powerful oppressive force sweep across the entire isolated room. Even the undead and the ones attacking us were hit by this oppressive force as all of them looked towards the Lord of Avalon Equinox. A few of the merchants already fainted at this point when he summoned the throne while the rest had gotten weak on the knees.

It might look like all of them are kneeling in front of the mighty demon that summoned a majestic throne for himself, but it is actually due to his presence that suddenly doubled. Even my own knees are about to give out as I can barely stand. I had to rely on the blessing given to me by my patron goddess. Not many know of my goddess in the central continent, but she is a very venerated goddess in the southern continent as she is the main goddess of wealth.

"Nice to meet all of you. I am Equinox. Mediator of Death and the Lord of Avalon." The Lord of Avalon Equinox stated as he sat on the throne that he summoned.

I already knew who he was as does the other merchants as his face is incredibly famous. He is not only a great target to become a business partner for the merchant guild but also famous in the black market. It seems that even the top bosses of the black market would want to strike deals with him because he is said to be the most negotiable amongst the demons.

Oh! I am suddenly kneeling… how did that happen? I thought that my legs were still strong, but it actually gave in earlier and I did not even notice it. Even with the power of my blessing, the presence of Lord of Avalon Equinox is tremendous as soon as he sat on the throne. All the other merchants already passed out as I and Piggy Bank are the only ones that are still awake.

Can the Lord of Avalon Equinox control his aura that Piggy Bank is not affected? This should be impossible as he is basically using all of his presence to pressure all of the beings in this room. Even I can see that Piggy Bank is already a bit tired as he must also be trying to maintain his sanity. The low level undead that the undead sorcerer from the east already shattered into dust when the room got flooded with the Lord of Avalon Equinox's presence, so I think I am safe.

"We greet the Lord of Avalon! It is impertinent to ask but please save us from the enemies of the guild."

I mustered up the courage to speak up as this is the only way for us to survive. I cannot rely on the others as most passed out while some are regaining their consciousness, but they are still weakened. Also, most of us are merchants that have weak fighting abilities. Even if I am blessed by a goddess, I do not have the same fighting capabilities as a warrior of my level. Oh! One of the merchants that can fight finally woke up.

"Oh? I thought I heard someone call me an enemy of the merchant guild earlier from you side though." The Lord of Avalon Equinox stated as he looked at the merchant that just woke up as he was the one that said that very sentence.

I thought that I just needed to nudge him to apologize but the idiot suddenly fainted once more. To make it even more embarrassing, he started foaming at the mouth as if he got infected by rabies. Did his willpower got broken just because of a few words? There was not even killing intent behind the words of the Lord of Avalon Equinox.

If he had killing intent, then even I would definitely pass out in my spot. I can feel my insignia telling me that the Lord of Avalon Equinox in incredibly powerful. The warning is coming directly from my patron goddess, so this means that he is the real deal. The fact that my own patron goddess is sending me these powerful warnings meant that he can even deal with demigods.

"I would like to apologize for the rudeness of the other merchants but please help us. The dark forces before us are not part of the merchant guild. We will definitely reward you greatly for helping us."

I bravely stood my ground or rather kneeled on the ground as I mustered all my energy to speak those words. I wanted to talk more about the reward, but I can barely breathe because of the pressure he is emitting. Even the horrifying undead sorcerer from the east cannot withstand the pressure that the Lord of Avalon Equinox can produce. All of them are just like me that is now kneeling on the floor as we cannot stand up.

"Demon! I will kill you." Lady Goldenclaw stated as she could barely move her body.

"I know what you are because it has been obvious now. A normal corpse would not be able to withstand my pressure which means you are the Primordial Beast of Greed. All the clues have already been present as you feed off people's greed which is also strengthening that corpse even though only an imposed will is attached on it." The Lord of Avalon Equinox stated as he looked directly at Lady Goldenclaw.

"So, you managed to deduce what I did to this body." Lady Goldenclaw stated.

"What did you do to its soul? Usually, a soul would have been attached to you and continuously haunting you if one were to defile their corpse, but you do not have such presence. That can only mean that her soul is being kept by that Jiangshi master over there. The main ingredient for that powerful female undead should be the soul of that poor girl." Adrian stated as he used his eyes to look at Shi Shi.

The Jiangshi Shi Shi did not have just one soul but an amalgamation of numerous ones including beasts. The core of the soul is still that of a woman which is why the primary shape of the Jiangshi is that of a woman. Adrian peered deeply and saw the soul of the true Lady Goldenclaw bound by numerous forbidden magic seals.

"You know too much demon! Kill him!" The fake Lady Goldenclaw, which is a will imprinted by the Primordial Beast of Greed, commanded.

Murai forcefully stood up even if his body could be heard creaking. The Jiangshi master also used some hand seals as well to forcefully control Shi Shi. The sounds of bones and flesh tearing apart could be heard as the bodyguards that the fake Lady Goldenclaw brought is also heavily controlled by the Primordial Beast of Greed.

Adrian could only pity those two as they are people that have been overtaken by a primordial beast. There must have been a lot of greed in their hearts for them to succumb to ultimate mind control. The fake Lady Goldenclaw only has a remnant will of the Primordial Beast of Greed, but they are being commanded by said remnant will. This can only mean that even the souls of these two are completely owned by the Primordial Beast of Greed.

"I can only offer my condolences for all of you here. I will keep the Barrier Master alive though as I do not want this isolated space to get destroyed yet. Sirius, Realm Ender!" Adrian commanded.
