Chapter 18: Chapter 19: Linlin Goes Berserk! I Can't Abandon My Comrades!

Everyone used Samra and stacked it up into a Samra Tower. While preparing so many Samra did cost a lot, but the nun's funding was pretty generous! Roy cast a resentful glance at the nun, took her hand, and she smiled at him.

"Let's sit here," she said.

Roy took the nun to sit next to Linlin. Roy sat on her left, while the nun sat on her right.

The cunning Roy seemed to have a plan—was the nun going to be the first to die? In the original story, the nun was seated across from Linlin and still didn't escape Linlin's wrath.

Now, influenced by Roy, the nun was sitting right next to Linlin. Well, the earlier she dies, the sooner she can be reincarnated. "Let's have a tea party!" the fallen prince shouted excitedly.

"A tea party? What's that?" Linlin asked in confusion.

"It's when everyone sits around a table, drinking tea and eating sweets, spending time in an elegant manner," the fallen prince explained.

"Scowy! I want to have a tea party!" Linlin exclaimed happily.

Roy sat on the log, gazing at the Samra Tower in front of him. In fact, he preferred banquets to tea parties. The little girl with blue hair happily poured tea for everyone, while the fur tribe kid clenched his tiny hands, eagerly watching as she poured tea into Roy's cup, then looked expectantly at his own cup.

"Hehe, sitting here, enjoying tea and Samra, it's such a pleasant day~," the blue-haired girl giggled.

Roy nodded and thanked her, sitting quietly on the log.

"Then let's begin!" the fishman child raised his hand.

"Eat more!" the rooster-haired child said with a smile.

"Hurry and eat!" the blue-haired girl looked up at Linlin.

"We're starting!" Roy seemed calm on the outside, but on the inside, his emotions were tense as he secretly observed the other children.

He had made full preparations to save these tragic kids.

"Mm! I'm starting!" Linlin said tearfully, grabbing two pieces of Samra and stuffing them into her mouth.

"Huh? Roy is so quiet today~" the blue-haired girl giggled, watching him.

"Elegant~" Roy calmly repeated the word the fallen prince had mentioned.

As if. He was actually paying attention to Linlin, waiting for her to go berserk! He took a slow sip of tea.

The rooster-haired and long-handed children exchanged looks, both feeling that the boss was pretending to be something.

"So cool!" the blue-haired girl gazed at him, her eyes sparkling.

Roy turned to the other little girls, and one by one, they said, "So cool!" all staring at him with shining eyes.

Sigh, life at the Lamb House was so boring.

The boys either played around or listened to Roy tell stories, while the girls either played around or watched Roy show off his charm~ And Roy, well, aside from studying, practicing swordsmanship, and training Pandora, he also had to be watched by the girls.

Such a tough life~ Roy was quietly sipping his tea. He had just finished his fifth piece of Samra, while Linlin had already transformed into a relentless Samra-devouring machine, quickly grabbing pieces of Samra and devouring them.

Roy glanced at the Samra Tower. The piles of Samra were visibly disappearing, and at this rate, Linlin would finish them all in no time.

Did Linlin really eat for so long in the original? Samra certainly wasn't enough for her to eat this fast. He suddenly realized that his terrifying guess might be coming true.

Before long, the Samra on the plate was almost gone.

Linlin reached out, grabbing the last remaining pieces of Samra, and devoured them all in one gulp.

She ate so recklessly that her eyes filled with tears, her vision blurry.

"Samra, so delicious, Samra! Linlin wants more—!"

In the next moment, Linlin's eyes turned into red hearts, and she reached for the Samra in Roy's hand.

Roy threw the Samra at her, and Linlin grabbed it and shoved it into her mouth.

"Not enough—!"

Linlin yelled, and in an instant, a terrifying aura swept across the scene, passing over everything!

Linlin ate without restraint. Or rather, she was overwhelmed by her craving and had fallen into a frenzy of hunger! Unconsciously, Linlin released her Conqueror's Haki.

The children around her had no time to scream before they were knocked unconscious by the Conqueror's Haki! One by one, the children either collapsed backwards to the ground or slumped over the table.

The nun, struggling to stay conscious, was grabbed by Linlin.

"No, no... Linlin!"

The nun was terrified. The scariest thing wasn't death, but the state of being nearly unconscious, unable to move but still somewhat aware. In this state, she saw Linlin grab her and realized she was about to be eaten. The nun felt this was the greatest terror she had ever encountered in her life!

From Linlin's point of view, she was just eating Samra, surrounded by delicious, larger pieces of Samra!

She grabbed the biggest piece in her hand and, amidst the cheers of her friends, the nun, and Roy, swallowed it in one bite.

Then~ From Roy's perspective, the nun gave him one last deep look before disappearing from the world. (She was eaten off-screen, skipped from Linlin's point of view, just as it was skipped in the anime, where Linlin devours several large pieces of "Samra" instead.)

Roy froze for a moment. This—this is really happening. Is this supposed to be a shonen manga?

He was right. Linlin really ate her.

His worst fear had come true!

Then, as Pandora watched in horror, Roy continued to play the role of a terrified child.

"Why don't you save me? Don't be scared! Please save me!!" This was the last thought of the nun before her death.

I'm scared too~ Roy acted terrified, trembling and hugging Pandora tightly.

Of course, children being somewhat clever and calm was normal, but when something this terrifying happened, being afraid was reasonable.

"Sister...!" Pandora screamed, its eyes filled with resentment, staring at Linlin with hatred.

It struggled to break free from Roy's arms, wanting to burn Linlin to death for everything she had done.

The giants had been right—Linlin was born to be an evil god! In this moment, Pandora wanted to fight Linlin to the death.

"Don't go! I'm scared, I'm scared, boo-hoo~" Roy kept acting, his face filled with terror as he tightly held Pandora, squeezing out a few tears.

In his heart, he thought, Don't, Pandora, if you go, Linlin will tear you apart!

With his and Linlin's defensive talents, Pandora's fire would feel like nothing more than a sauna to them in the flames.

Roy suddenly understood Pandora's fate in the original story.

In the original, without Roy, the nun had been stunned by the Conqueror's Haki and lost her ability to move.

Then, Pandora had been torn apart by Linlin.

As for why Pandora survived after the nun died? Maybe Linlin ate the nun and gained the nun's Devil Fruit ability, creating some sort of bug in the process where the ability didn't disappear when the user died? Pandora had stayed, not disappearing with the nun's death.

Or maybe Pandora had always been a part of the nun's soul, and due to some unique property of the Devil Fruit, Pandora didn't vanish?

The original never explained whether the user of a Soul-Soul Fruit disappears after death.

But now, Roy knew.

Pandora still existed!

"Samra!" Linlin reached for Roy's Samra again, grabbing another nice piece.

"Let's go!" Pandora, realizing what was happening, suddenly thought that since the nun had given Roy the Samra, it had to protect him.

It would carry out the nun's will!

Feeling Roy's trembling, Pandora kept shouting warnings.

"I can't abandon my comrades!" Roy responded dramatically, but still acting like a child. He swung his hand and clashed with Linlin, then staggered backward, grabbing the nearby fur tribe child.

"Roy."

Meanwhile, from behind a large rock in the distance, a giant hid, stunned by what Linlin had just done, and anxiously watching Roy.

The scariest thing wasn't the bloody scenes, but the endless possibilities of what that implied. Something unsaid, subtly hinted at in a special way.

For example, in the anime, Linlin was eating Samra, and soon she would eat all the Samra on the plate, but she kept going. In her perspective, everyone was celebrating her birthday, and she grabbed a big piece of Samra. The normal Samra before was eaten in multiple pieces, but now she swallowed it whole. Her abyssal mouth could consume it.

Then, the scariest part came: in the original story, the nun sat opposite her, but in the end, Linlin swallowed the biggest piece of Samra. When she woke up, the table and chairs were ruined, and the silk from the nun's robes lay on the ground.

From the bushes and behind the giant rock, two figures—a long-faced man and a giant—hid in separate directions, watching this horrifying scene.

The giant ran back to Elbaf, too terrified to ever return to this island.

As for Pandora, I have many guesses. Maybe it was torn apart by Linlin (the version I'm adopting).

Or maybe it hated Linlin so much that it swore revenge, I don't know. We'll see.
