One Piece : Deathless Surgeon

Chapter 4: 4- White Town, Flevance

Hello everyone, do you like the story?

_______

Yes, this is my chance to escape from this island. The ship looks like it is a pirate ship, so they most probably would not welcome me.

Hmmm… in this case, I can try sneaking into their ship. As for how to sneak in, it's simple.

"ROOM!!"

I created the largest room I could which covered even the ship far away within it, but just this took about half my physical strength.

Then I checked the situation of the ship. Well, they were pure pirates—and slave hunters too. Good thing I didn't give a rescue signal, I could save myself from them but why fight when you can manage without one.

The room put them all on alert, and they started to get ready for battle. Well, to sneak in, I first needed to create a disturbance. I released my Conqueror's Haki towards the ship, not with all my strength though, I still need them to sail the ship, I only knocked out all the weaker ones, to scare them.

And then teleported inside an empty room on the ship, replacing an empty wine bottle that was kept there. The purpose of releasing my haki was just that they ignore the island and start escaping as fast as they can without checking anything.

And my Haki did terrify the pirates. They looked towards the island with horror and quickly turned away from it. I could sense the frenzy on the ship with my Observation Haki.

Yes, I awakened my Observation Haki some time ago, but it is only a basic one and more useful for scanning large areas rather than combat. I guess the monk style training only takes you so far, combat is still the key. But now, I can study their physique too—but that can wait till we reach some island.

"Huh… huh… huh… we escaped. What the hell was that aura? I have never seen anything as scary as that. The weak ones were knocked out just like that… haahhhhh… I need a break. Set the route to whichever large island is nearby. We will sell all the slaves there and relax for some time. Then, we can go loot some villages," Black Fox Worul, the captain of the Worul Pirates, spoke.

He was a cruel but cowardly guy who specialized in dealing with the weak. He was cunning and knew how to save his life without taking unnecessary risks. He would hunt weaker targets and exploit them to make the most profit he could. But against anyone who could put up a fight with him, sorry, he is the first to run.

Despite being a Devil Fruit user, he was relatively unknown in the North Blue.

"Yes, Captain, we are better off not provoking whatever monster was on that island. The Kingdom of Flevance is not far from here, and with how rich it is, the slaves would definitely fetch a good price there," the navigator of the ship said, a clear look of greed on his face.

Joshua heard all this but didn't pay much attention to the slaves and stuff. He had watched One Piece and knew of this world. He was prepared for it. Besides, until about a century ago, slaves were quite common even on Earth, so it was not a very strange concept for him.

'Flevance, the birthplace of Law. Well, he should not be born just yet, and Flevance should still be a very prosperous city… it's a good place to start from. Its booming trade means it would be easier for me to go to different places. Maybe I should try reaching East Blue—it's a good place to grow…'

Soon, I would interact with the people of the new world. I guess this is a new start for me… Maybe I should change my name.

I never liked the name Joshua, and since it's a new life, I should start with a new name. The name should sound good and domineering. Even if I become the strongest, people might not take me seriously just because of the name Joshua… So, from now on, I am Alexander D. Sikandar—named after the greatest conqueror.

As for the "D"… well, this is One Piece. A name without the "D" feels like a side character's name.

Now, I just have to wait. Once we reach Flevance, I will search for someone with good potential to copy genes from… I already have an idea. Maybe I can find Law's parents. Although they were weak and professional doctors who might never have trained, they are still from the Clan of D. Their potential must be stronger than ordinary people—at least that much is guaranteed. And since their son went on to become so powerful, they must not be bad themselves.

---

After waiting for hours—during which I was bored as hell alone in a room—the ship docked on the shores of the Kingdom of Flevance.

Being a pirate ship, it was anchored not at the port but at a distance.

"Alright, take the goods and come with me. Ten people stay back to guard the ship, and don't cause too much ruckus. This kingdom has a strong army. Fighting them would be a pain. Look for auction houses, and if there are no auctions happening, we sell them to the nobles. Let's go, boys!" Worul shouted, and the crew left with the slaves, leaving behind ten people.

After a while, I used my Conqueror's Haki and knocked everyone out. Then, I searched the ship. There were over a million Baileys on board. I went to the deck and found the strongest person on the ship.

I used the Ope Ope no Mi to study his body.

Well, there are quite a few differences from Earth's physique—especially in digestion and eating capacity. They both start around the same level, except for maybe those with strong bloodlines. But people in the One Piece world utilize whatever they eat much better, which enhances their bodies per meal.

This also explains why top powerhouses or those with high potential have a very high appetite.

Appetite can almost be considered directly proportional to potential. The higher the potential, the greater the appetite.

I changed my body accordingly. Now, I finally have the physique of the people of this world. Then, I left the ship.

---

After walking for a while, I finally reached the town of Flevance. A town that looked as if it were made entirely of marble came into view… It truly is beautiful.

Sad that it would be destroyed in a few years.

Maybe I can start some rumors about the harms of Amber Lead Syndrome. Of course, I won't stay here and dedicate my time to saving this place, but even rumors might do something to help.

I found a hotel and booked a room.

Finally, inside the room, the first thing I did was sleep. It does not matter that it was barely evening—everything else could wait.

Sleep was necessary.

And sleep I did—for fifteen hours straight.

This was the best sleep I had in this life of mine. A bed, after so many years, felt heavenly.

Then, once again, I sat on my bed and activated my Devil Fruit. Just like I did with my Earth body, I started enhancing my genes—which were now like those of the One Piece world.

After the enhancement was complete, my physical strength nearly tripled.

It was still quite low due to the weak potential of the pirate I copied from, but I could feel that with training, I could still grow. So, that's a plus.

And now, with my increased physical strength, I can use my Devil Fruit much more often.

I can only imagine what my physical strength would reach once I copy Big Mom… and then enhance it even more and train seriously.

Because with those genes—which were not even enhanced—and without much training, while squandering her entire time having babies, Big Mom still managed to become an Emperor of the Seas.

One can only imagine the power of those genes.

Now, time to explore Flevance—the first town I encounter in this strange new world of mine.
