Chapter 233: Chapter 233: Tianyueshi
Chapter 233: Tianyueshi
It was a sunny day, and the sea breeze blew gently.
Charlotte lay on a rocking chair, sipping juice and enjoying the warm sunshine.
The others were equally relaxed, playing and chatting on the deck.
Apart from the necessary precautions, everyone treated this trip as a leisurely tour.
"Charlotte, are we really just going to wander around aimlessly?"
Elena, who was seven months pregnant, sat next to Charlotte, her round belly prominent. She picked up a grape and gently stuffed it into Charlotte's mouth.
"Well! We'll explore the New World first, then head to Fishman Island. I don't plan on going back for a few years this time!"
Charlotte spoke while chewing the grape Elena had peeled for him.
Elena rolled her eyes.
"You're unbelievable! You just threw the responsibility of Kami Island onto Carter and the others. Aren't you worried about what might happen?"
"Hahahahaha! To me, nothing on Kami Island is more important than you all. As long as we're together, I don't care even if I lose everything!"
Charlotte looked at Elena and laughed heartily.
Elena was momentarily stunned by his words. Then, she gently hugged Charlotte.
"I'll always be with you," she whispered, resting her head against his chest.
Charlotte stroked her hair affectionately.
The two remained like that for a while, oblivious to the smiles and teasing glances from those around them.
Finally, Elena, unable to bear the embarrassment, let go and hurried into the cabin.
"Hahahahahaha!"
Charlotte's laughter rang out.
"You're already an old married couple! Why are you still so shy?"
Elena shot him a glare before disappearing into the cabin.
Still chuckling, Charlotte leaned back and closed his eyes, enjoying the warm sunlight.
Time passed slowly as the ship continued its journey across the calm sea.
---
"Help!
"Is anyone there?"
Suddenly, a woman's voice echoed in Charlotte's ears.
His eyes snapped open instantly.
"Someone's calling for help!"
Charlotte sat up, his Observation Haki spreading out in all directions.
Countless sounds flooded his mind like data in a computer.
He quickly filtered through them, pinpointing the source of the cry.
Finally, he sensed a lone figure on the beach of a nearby island.
Charlotte immediately decided to help.
Of course, it had nothing to do with the fact that the voice belonged to a woman.
He grabbed the communicator.
"Hey! Turn the ship to the nine o'clock direction. There's someone in distress! Go check it out!"
"Yes, Captain!"
The crew in the control room immediately adjusted the ship's course.
---
On the island, a woman in a kimono stood nervously, gripping a samurai sword tightly.
Her emerald-green hair fluttered in the breeze, and her eyes darted around warily.
The place was unfamiliar, strange, and dangerous.
A group of wild beasts surrounded her, baring their fangs.
"Help!"
The woman swung her sword wildly, keeping the beasts at bay.
Surprisingly, the beasts hesitated, stepping back warily.
Seeing this, the woman seized the opportunity and ran, heading toward the beach.
Reaching the coastline, she stopped, staring in despair at the endless sea.
Her sword clutched tightly to her chest, she muttered, "Where am I?"
But her moment of confusion was interrupted by a chilling howl from behind.
Turning around, she saw a red-eyed wolf charging at her.
"Don't come any closer!"
Her desperate cry did nothing to deter the beast.
The wolf pounced, knocking her to the ground.
"Help!"
Just as the wolf prepared to bite, a flash of green light enveloped the woman's hand.
In an instant, the wolf vanished.
Panting heavily, the woman muttered, "Teleported away? Thank goodness!"
Though her clothes were slightly disheveled, she was unharmed.
The woman sat on the shore, staring at the vast ocean, her expression filled with despair.
But then—
A black dot appeared on the horizon, growing larger by the second.
"A ship! It's a ship!"
Her eyes lit up with hope.
"Here! Over here!"
The woman waved her hands frantically, trying to attract attention.
But her efforts were futile—no one on board noticed her except Charlotte.
Charlotte, however, had already locked onto her position with his Observation Haki.
"Green hair, kimono, female… deserted island?"
Charlotte frowned as recognition dawned.
Kozuki Toki!
The wife of Kozuki Oden.
One of the few people in the world capable of controlling time itself.
A woman who had traveled from 800 years ago.
Why is she here?
And how did I stumble upon her by chance?
Charlotte stood at the bow, watching the woman's frantic gestures.
A smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
Her excitement was almost comical.
She kept hopping and waving, her face filled with joy, completely unaware of how ridiculous she looked.
The ship drew closer, and the woman's excitement quickly gave way to alarm.
The Poseidon was massive—practically a floating fortress.
And there, atop the towering mast, fluttered a pirate flag—
A skull pierced by a long sword.
Pirates!
The woman's face paled as realization struck.
Her grip tightened around the hilt of her sword.
As the ship approached the shore, Charlotte leaned against the railing and called out:
"Hey, miss! Are you shipwrecked?"
"Uh… yes! Yes!"
Seeing that the man addressing her was handsome and well-dressed, the woman relaxed slightly.
"Then come aboard!"
Charlotte lowered the ladder.
The woman hesitated, eyeing the ship warily.
"Hahaha! We may be pirates, but we're good people!"
Charlotte chuckled, sensing her reluctance.
After a moment's hesitation, the woman finally approached the ladder and climbed aboard.
Reaching the deck, she was stunned by what she saw.
The ship was huge—even larger than she'd imagined.
Dozens of people bustled around.
Most were maids dressed in pristine uniforms.
Nearby, warriors with swords casually chatted, while children laughed and played together.
"Hahahahaha!
"Miss, welcome to the Rockefeller Pirates!"
Charlotte's booming laughter echoed behind her.
The woman whirled around, instinctively raising her guard.
"Who are you?" she asked nervously.
Charlotte grinned.
"Me?
"I'm the owner of this ship—the captain of the Rockefeller Pirates.
"A pirate with a 2.652 billion berry bounty and the world's greatest swordsman—Rockefeller Charlotte!"
He straightened his back proudly, watching the woman's eyes widen in shock.
