One Piece: From Marine to Legend

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Locked in Conflict

A fierce battle erupted once again between the Chief Guard and the Head Jailer.

This news spread like wildfire across Impel Down, reaching every corner of the prison in record time.

Fourth Floor, Burning Hell, Director's Office, Toilet

"What?! Storm and Shiryu are fighting again?"

Magellan, who was in the middle of his usual detoxification session, felt his entire body tense up at the sudden report. His face, already drenched in sweat, turned even more purple as he clenched his fists.

"Why this time? That bastard Shiryu... Why does he always provoke Storm for no reason!?"

A firm voice responded from outside the restroom.

"Report, Director! The jailer standing at attention relayed the message loudly. "According to information from the monitoring room, this time... the Chief Guard attacked the Head Jailer first."

"Storm?! That bastard!"

With a roar, Magellan stormed out of the restroom, struggling with his belt as he tightened it around his waist. His usual toxic purple aura still lingered on his face, showing that his body had not yet fully expelled the poisons within.

"I swear, I'm locking him in Freezing Hell this time! No—I'll put him in Infinite Hell!!"

None of the ordinary jailers dared to interrupt the furious Director of Impel Down.

At that moment, the office door slammed open, and a familiar voice rang out.

"Magellan!!"

The frantic-looking Hannyabal rushed in, panting heavily. His eyes darted to Magellan's face, and upon noticing the poisonous mist oozing from his pores, he instinctively took a few steps back.

"That bastard Shiryu is fighting with Storm again!" Hannyabal gasped, hurriedly applying eyedrops to soothe his stinging eyes. "Storm must not have hit him hard enough last time!"

Then, as if seizing the opportunity, he straightened up, adjusted his hat, and declared, "Magellan, you see? That guy Shiryu is always causing trouble! You should lock him up in Infinite Hell! And then—"

His voice suddenly became eager.

"Then, let me take the position of Head Jailer! No, wait! Just give me the position of Director—"

Boom!

Before he could finish his sentence, Magellan's massive fist came crashing down onto his head.

"OW! THAT HURTS!!"

Hannyabal immediately curled up on the floor, cradling his head as he whimpered.

"It's already this bad, and you're still joking!?" Magellan scowled as he grabbed Hannyabal by the collar, hoisting him up effortlessly before making a beeline for the prison elevator.

"We need to stop those two! That's the priority right now!"

Without another word, Magellan and Hannyabal descended from the fourth floor, heading straight toward Crimson Hell.

Meanwhile – Outside the Director's Office

A shadow moved silently in the dimly lit corridor.

It was none other than Storm.

Watching Magellan and Hannyabal leave the area, he immediately shifted his attention toward another crucial location—the monitoring room on the fourth floor.

The truth was simple.

The Storm currently fighting Shiryu in Crimson Hell was nothing but a Clay Clone.

The real Storm had already infiltrated the monitoring room.

Fourth Floor – Monitoring Room

The jailers stationed in the room barely had time to react when Storm strode inside.

For a moment, their expressions were confused.

"Chief Guard!"

They instinctively saluted him.

"Chief Guard—???"

A second later, realization struck.

On the surveillance screens, the fight in Crimson Hell was still ongoing.

There, another "Storm" was locked in battle with Shiryu.

Then…

Who was the one standing before them?!

"I'm sorry."

Without another word, Storm raised his hand, and clay tendrils shot out from his fingertips, instantly binding and knocking out every single monitoring officer in the room.

As the unconscious jailers collapsed onto the floor, a series of trophies popped up before Storm's eyes.

Unfortunately, the rewards were disappointing—

[Black Iron Trophy: Jailer]

[Star Rating: ★]

Storm sighed, ignoring the low-ranked trophies and quickly moving toward the prison's main elevator.

By now, Magellan and Hannyabal had only just reached the first level of Crimson Hell.

Meanwhile, Storm had already completed his objective.

He activated his Clay-Clay Fruit ability once more, sending waves of clay into the elevator shaft, sealing off the entire system.

Now, if the guards in Crimson Hell wanted to reach Infinite Hell, they would be forced to take the stairs—a significant delay in their pursuit.

With that done, Storm merged into the ground, disappearing into the prison floor itself.

A few minutes later, at Newkma Land...

Storm emerged from the clay-covered floor of the Newkama Land—a hidden paradise located deep within Impel Down.

Here, Ivankov and the Revolutionary Army members had gathered around their private surveillance system, watching the battle between "Storm" and Shiryu" unfold on the screen.

"Left hook! Right hook!"

"That's it! Hit him again!"

"That bastard Shiryu totally deserves this!"

As they cheered and hollered, one of them noticed an uninvited guest standing at the entrance.

" Storm!? Aren't you up there fighting that bastard Shiryu?!"

Ivankov, the Okama King, snapped his head around, his giant eyelashes twitching in surprise.

Before Storm could even respond, Ivankov's eyes widened in realization.

"Wait… Is the one up there a fake?!"

Storm had no interest in explaining.

"The operation is about to begin, Okama King. It's time for you to be useful."

Without giving Ivankov a chance to argue, Storm pulled out his personal Den Den Mushi and quickly dialed a number.

Bru—Bru—

At the same time, the Den Den Mushi inside Ivankov's coat rang in sync.

"Stay in touch."

That was all Storm said before the ground beneath his feet liquefied into clay, and he vanished underground once more.

The previously lively Newkama Land fell into an eerie silence.

Inazuma, one of Ivankov's closest allies, stepped forward and spoke in a cautious tone.

"Your Majesty… What should we do?"

Ivankov remained silent, deep in thought.

Inazuma shook his head and added, "We can't trust Storm. He's too unpredictable."

Ivankov exhaled slowly, then finally spoke.

"We have no choice."

Ivankov shook his head, then took out the Den Den Mushi from his coat and answered the call directly.

"Storm, what do you want me to do?"

Storm's calm voice came through the receiver.

"You, go to the main staircase of Freezing Hell and stop anyone attempting to descend."

Ivankov raised an eyebrow.

"And if I refuse?"

Storm's voice remained steady but carried an unmistakable edge.

"Ivankov, this is your mission. But if you'd rather delegate the responsibility with the others in Newkama Land, feel free—I'll gladly welcome you to Infinite Hell instead."

"Infinite Hell?"

Ivankov glanced at the surveillance Den Den Mushi, then motioned for his subordinates to change the feed.

The screen flickered, displaying the deepest level of Impel Down.

"So, you've already reached the sixth level, huh?"

Storm dropped from the ceiling, landing silently in an open area within Infinite Hell. He lifted his gaze toward a surveillance Den Den Mushi mounted in the corner.

His sharp eyes seemed to pierce through it as if he were staring directly into Newkama Land.

"Okama King, you're watching me right now, aren't you?"

Ivankov's heart skipped a beat. He quickly waved his hand, signaling his subordinates to switch the screen back.

"Ah—this! Haha!" Ivankov let out an exaggerated laugh. "Magellan has already reached Crimson Hell. 'You' better be careful!"

Storm didn't respond. Instead, he placed the Den Den Mushi on his shoulder, using it as a makeshift communication device.

At that moment, the prisoners in Infinite Hell finally noticed the new arrival.

A low murmur spread through the cells.

"A jailer?"

"Hah! Since when did Impel Down get fresh recruits?"

"This one looks good! Hey, come a little closer so I can get a good look at your face."

Then, the taunts turned cruder.

"Hey, pretty boy, let's see if you're as tough as you look!"

Storm remained expressionless. Without hesitation, he activated the power of the Clay-Clay Fruit.

The ground beneath his feet transformed, its texture shifting as vast amounts of clay spread across Infinite Hell.

A monstrous dragon head emerged from the shifting terrain, its gaping maw opening wide.

Then, it struck.

Clay Dragon Bomb!

The prisoners, many of whom were former pirates of the sea, quickly recognized the ability.

"Clay? Hah! Is this supposed to scare us?"

"Kid, do you think a little mud can stop me?"

"This is nothing compared to that diarrhea-ridden Magellan's Poison-Poison Fruit!"

Their jeers were short-lived.

Before they could react, the clay orbs fired from the dragon's mouth shot into their cells.

Then—

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosions rocked the prison.

The prisoners' laughter twisted into pained cries.

"AAAHH!"

"Damn it! Why is this clay so hard?!"

"Wait—this isn't just regular clay! This is—"

They didn't get to finish their sentences.

Each projectile that had entered their cells had been no ordinary clump of earth.

Instead, they were compacted ceramic explosives, primed to detonate upon impact.

The force of the explosions rivaled that of standard gunpowder weaponry.

Amid the chaos, Storm walked forward, unbothered by the devastation around him. His footsteps were steady, deliberate, as he approached one particular cell.

Inside, a tall woman with sharp features sat against the wall, watching him with an amused smirk.

"Well, well. What do we have here?"

Storm's gaze locked onto her.

"The most dangerous female pirate in history—the Crescent Moon Hunter, Catarina Devon."

Devon chuckled, her lips curling into a predatory grin.

"Oh? So, you know who I am?"

She stretched her arms lazily, seemingly unfazed by the explosions around her.

"I must say, I didn't expect a jailer to come knocking on my door. What brings you to my humble abode?"

Storm didn't waste time with formalities.

"I need something from you."

He lifted his right hand, and white clay slithered forward like living tendrils, creeping into the cell through the bars.

"Your Mythical Zoan—Nine-Tailed Fox Fruit."
