One Piece: Getting Stronger by Writing a Diary

Chapter 208: Chapter 159.5 – Uta, Carina and Kaya’s progress

"So, after seeing their battle, are you finally ready to give up challenging Arton and Mihawk?" Sanji asked, trembling as he lit a cigarette.

"Hmph, not a chance," Zoro retorted.

"The stronger they are, the better. If I can defeat warriors as powerful as them... my voice will surely reach my friend."

Zoro gazed upward at the sky as he spoke.

"And what about you? After witnessing such power, are you still planning to pursue the ladies around Arton?" Zoro suddenly smirked, glancing at Sanji.

"Shut up! That's none of your business!" Sanji yelled in frustration.

Before he could say more, Zeff's foot landed squarely on his head.

"Idiot! This isn't the time for idle chatter!" Zeff scolded, his voice gruff.

"The tsunami is coming!" Zeff shouted angrily.

Sanji and Zoro, alarmed by his warning, quickly turned to look around. What they saw made their eyes widen in shock. The once-split ocean had reunited with forceful collisions, creating towering waves over 20 meters high, surging from both sides toward the Baratie.

The sight left everyone, including Sanji and Usopp, gaping in fear.

At this critical moment, Uta and Carina stepped forward from the crowd.

Blinding light enveloped both of them, obscuring what was happening inside. Moments later, as the light faded, Carina and Uta were fully transformed, having activated the powers of their templates: Yae Miko for Carina and Elizabeth Bathory for Uta.

Carina: "[Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin]!"

Uta: "[Kilenc Sárkány: Dragon Cry Thundering Voice]!"

BOOM!

HUMMMMM!

On Carina's side, a massive lightning strike descended from the sky, crashing directly into the towering wave in front of her, breaking it apart.

On Uta's side, she deployed Elizabeth's [Dragon Cry Thundering Voice] Noble Phantasm. A colossal ultrasonic shockwave surged from Uta's mouth, transformed into the sound of a dragon's roar. The devastating power tore through the massive wave ahead, obliterating it entirely.

Although [Dragon Cry Thundering Voice] was not as formidable as [Fresh Blood Demoness] for summoning the Prison Castle amplification, its destructive force was still impressive. The ultrasonic wave, said in legend to kill 10,000 African elephants in one blow, made short work of the incoming tsunami.

However, despite Uta's efforts to control the direction of the sonic wave, it was still a Noble Phantasm-level ability, and she hadn't fully mastered Elizabeth's template. The immense ultrasonic wave inevitably affected those nearby, including Sanji and Zoro.

For Sanji, Zoro, Luffy, and Zeff—individuals with exceptional physical resilience—the impact was limited to temporary ringing in their ears, leaving them unable to hear clearly for a while.

But for the ordinary diners on the Baratie deck, their fragile eardrums couldn't withstand the assault of the ultrasonic wave. In an instant, the deck was littered with people clutching their ears, writhing in pain, and unable to stand.

Usopp didn't suffer a ruptured eardrum from the ultrasonic wave, but he wasn't feeling well either. At that moment, everything seemed to sway before his eyes. Just as he was about to collapse to his knees, he felt something soft and squishy land on his shoulder.

Soon after, a gentle energy flowed into his body, and Usopp immediately felt much clearer. The temporary deafness caused by the ultrasonic wave was quickly healed.

"What's happening? What is this thing?"

Usopp looked at the mysterious wriggling creature on his shoulder in alarm.

"Please don't worry. I am a slug, summoned by Lady Kaya."

"I'm here to help with treatment," the slug said, raising its tiny head as it spoke to Usopp.

"It can talk?!"

"Wait, you said Lady Kaya summoned you?"

Startled, Usopp quickly turned toward where Kaya had been standing. Instead of the familiar figure, he saw a blonde woman wearing a coat emblazoned with the kanji for "gamble."

"Wait, are you... Kaya?!"

Usopp's eyes widened as he stared at the woman, whose face was almost identical to Kaya's.

"She is indeed Lady Kaya. Please do not disturb her," the slug replied.

"She is currently tending to the injured."

Hearing this, Usopp looked around and noticed that almost everyone who had fallen due to ruptured eardrums had a slug like the one on his shoulder.

However, unlike his slug, which had ceased glowing after healing him, the slugs on the other diners still emitted a faint green light.

Before long, the glow on those slugs also faded, and they disappeared in wisps of white mist, just as his had.

At the same time, Kaya reverted from her Tsunade mode.

*

Black Maria: "That little slug could talk?"

Ulti: "So adorable! By the way, Kaya has already reached this level?"

Gion: "If you think about it, Kaya might have fewer personal points compared to Carina and others. However, she often appears in the videos that Arton records of the others, and those appearances contribute significantly to her progress."

Gion: "When calculated like this, although Kaya earned slightly fewer points than the others, the difference shouldn't be too significant."

Kalifa: "If we could have such abilities, completing missions in the future would be much more convenient."

Doll: "It's really troubling. Carina and Uta easily destroyed those massive waves without feeling fatigued. Kaya, although appearing a bit tired now, could instantly heal so many people's ears. Along with Nami, the progress of Arton's companions is just too fast."

Kujaku: "If this keeps up, by the time Arton leads his companions into the first half of the Grand Line, I might not even be able to match any of them."

Domino: "The video recording is still ongoing, and they will keep accumulating points. If the Navy doesn't manage to capture Arton soon, stopping him in the future will become exceedingly difficult."

At this moment, the performances of Carina, Uta, and Kaya once again filled the female Marines and World Government female agents with growing concerns.
