Chapter 215: Chapter 213: Joining The Entei Pirate Fleet!

Violet stared blankly at the scene unfolding before her.

Doflamingo, who had once used underhanded methods and his immense power to turn Dressrosa into a pirate-controlled kingdom, had seemed untouchable. Using his position as a Shichibukai, he'd effectively shielded himself from the scrutiny of both the Marines and the World Government. Now, the man who had brought unending despair to Dressrosa and his entire Donquixote family… was finished?

It was all over in an instant!

Her gaze settled on the frozen figures before her, and she swallowed hard. This was Doflamingo, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea! For Dressrosa's people, who'd once been their rightful rulers, there had never been a chance of resistance against him or his crew. They had no choice but to suffer as Sugar's power turned their once-joyful kingdom into a world of forgotten toys, leaving those transformed to live in a silent, invisible hell—forsaken by their friends, families, and the world.

Doflamingo's strength and influence had crushed every flicker of hope for resistance. And yet now, this man—a tyrant in the underworld, with the support of the Beast Emperor, Kaido—and his entire family had been taken down so effortlessly?

Violet recalled the Flame Emperor Incident, how it had been broadcast across the world from Sabaody Archipelago. She'd watched, but at the time, she couldn't comprehend the sheer scale of power that those standing at the peak of this world held. Now, seeing it firsthand, she understood completely.

The name 'Portgas D. Ace', the man now known as the world's most powerful, one said to surpass even the Four Emperors… now had clear meaning. For Doflamingo, who had once held Dressrosa in an iron grip of despair, his power wasn't even comparable. Against Ace's captains alone, Doflamingo and his family were crushed in mere seconds, torn apart by a force so overwhelming it was like a strike from another dimension.

In the end, Doflamingo and his family had proven weaker before Ace's captains than Dressrosa had once been before Doflamingo. While he had used tricks and schemes to conquer, Ace's men destroyed with raw, overwhelming power.

And above these captains was the true overlord of the sea!

A shiver of unease crept through Violet's eyes as the reality sank in.

To Ace, Doflamingo was as insignificant as an ant. And Dressrosa… they weren't even that.

If this man wanted to, he could erase Dressrosa with a mere command. Tomorrow, their kingdom could vanish from the map entirely.

A man greater than even the Four Emperors, who rule over the seas like kings. At last, Violet understood the weight of his title.

How could a man like Ace send his two captains to Dressrosa without expecting a fight?

"Young Master!!!"

Unlike Violet, who was filled with a deep sense of dread, Sugar—Doflamingo's subordinate and the one who wielded the Childlike Fruit to maintain his control over Dressrosa—was utterly panicked. She stared at Doflamingo and the frozen Donquixote family cadres, her face etched with terror. She let out a scream.

"This is the one with the Childlike Fruit ability," Kuzan said, glancing at Sugar as a chilling breath of frost escaped from his mouth. "It's exactly what we came here for."

"No, no! Don't come any closer!" Sugar's voice cracked with fear as she looked from Kuzan to Issho, trembling.

"Well, considering that the Childlike Fruit keeps her looking like a little girl, I hesitated for a moment," Kuzan said, removing his sunglasses slowly. "But for the captain's sake, you'd better just give in."

With that, Sugar's horrified expression froze as the icy blast overtook her. Her Haki level was low, leaving her with no chance against the devastating power of Kuzan's Frozen Fruit. Her life faded in the face of the relentless cold.

Ace had no interest or time to play a long conquest game with someone like Sugar. Having watched Doflamingo and his empire be crushed, she held nothing but resentment toward the Entei Pirates and Ace himself. Her survival would serve no purpose for them and could even become a liability.

Moreover, Ace had already decided that Rebecca would serve as the public representative of the Entei Pirates in Dressrosa.

Rebecca and the people of Dressrosa had long despised the user of the Childlike Fruit, the one who had turned their home into a twisted toy kingdom.

Having set his sights on acquiring the Childlike Fruit, Ace resolved the matter simply: it would be easier to eliminate her outright.

And as Sugar's life ended, the effects of the Childlike Fruit faded. Across Dressrosa, everyone she'd once turned into toys instantly regained their human forms, and memories of them flooded back to their loved ones. People wept with joy as they hugged each other, feeling the warmth and presence of their loved ones once more. They were no longer toys forgotten by the world.

"Everyone!"

A voice rang out, grabbing the attention of the crowd. Images appeared on screens across Dressrosa as Rebecca, holding the phone Transponder Snail given to her by Issho, began a nationwide live broadcast influenced by Ace's field of comprehension.

"Rebecca!"

"That's… the pirate flag of the Entei Pirates!" gasped one of the townsfolk who recognized her. But most eyes were fixed on the pirate flag billowing behind Rebecca.

The flag of the Entei Pirates! After the world-shaking incident involving the Flame Emperor, no one failed to recognize this flag.

And now, the flag of the mightiest pirate crew flew proudly over Dressrosa.

"Everyone! Concerning our country—about everything happening right now in Dressrosa..."

Rebecca took a deep breath, then raised her voice to address the crowd.

As she spoke of the despair and suffering Doflamingo brought to Dressrosa through his use of the Childlike Fruit, citizens clung to their loved ones, weeping. But soon, they realized it was the Entei Pirates who had freed them from Doflamingo's grip, restoring their loved ones to them after years of painful separation.

However, when Rebecca announced that Dressrosa would now fly the flag of the Entei Pirates, worry clouded many of the citizens' eyes. In this world, everyone understood what it meant for a kingdom to openly bear a pirate flag. This action marked Dressrosa as territory under the Entei Pirates and also meant that Dressrosa, once a member nation of the World Government, was severing its ties entirely and defying that very government.

Though grateful to be freed from Doflamingo, many citizens were anxious about becoming a subsidiary kingdom under the Entei Pirates and opposing the World Government. Living through Doflamingo's brutal rule had taught them how powerless they were against the mightiest figures on the sea. They had barely survived Doflamingo's reign, only for Entei to dismantle him with ease, a reminder of their own insignificance in this dangerous world.

Yet, despite their lack of power to resist, the citizens' unease and fear continued to simmer.

"Allow me to say a few words."

The sound of a familiar voice echoed, and the people of Dressrosa turned in astonishment to the screen. Cyrus, watching from nearby, stared in disbelief as he recognized the elderly figure who had stepped forward.

"Rebecca, you've grown so much."

With eyes brimming with tears, the old man gazed lovingly at her.

"King Riku!!!"

Gasps and exclamations erupted across Dressrosa as they recognized the face of their former ruler, King Riku Doldo III.

"Let me tell you all the truth about what happened back then," he began, looking visibly torn as he recounted the terrible choices he had made. He explained how he'd asked the people to give up their wealth, intending to gather the 10 billion Beli demanded by Doflamingo. King Riku had hoped that by paying this amount, he could prevent Doflamingo from unleashing his wrath on Dressrosa.

But, to everyone's horror, Doflamingo had never truly wanted the money. His aim was complete control of Dressrosa, and through his String-String Fruit ability, he manipulated King Riku into massacring his own soldiers and citizens, setting in motion the tragic events that followed.

"I am to blame for bringing this nightmare upon you all!" King Riku's face was wet with tears as he knelt, bowing low before his people, eyes downcast in shame and guilt.

In that moment, the former king humbled himself, kneeling in penance to the people of Dressrosa, pleading for their forgiveness.

"King Riku, please, become our king again!"

The people cried out, their eyes brimming with tears. King Riku had always ruled with kindness and fairness, earning their love and loyalty. Many began to recognize the location of the broadcast and gathered there, calling for his return.

Riku, however, shook his head. "I am no longer worthy to be king," he said, glancing at Rebecca, who stood nearby. "Rebecca, I leave the kingdom to you."

"Me?" Rebecca looked at her grandfather in shock. Though she was his granddaughter, she felt unprepared to take on such a responsibility. "But I… how could I…"

"You are the only one who can," he interrupted, his gaze shifting from Rebecca to the flag of the Entei Pirates flying proudly behind her.

In truth, King Riku's choice was not solely about who would inherit the throne; it was a conscious decision to align Dressrosa with the Entei Pirates. Witnessing Doflamingo's ruthless grip over Dressrosa had opened King Riku's eyes. The World Government, which should have protected its member nations, had turned a blind eye, allowing Doflamingo to exploit and terrorize the country with impunity.

The Shichibukai system was supposed to be an assurance of safety, yet when Dressrosa fell into despair, the World Government offered no aid. King Riku could not believe they were unaware of the atrocities occurring within their borders. Yet, it seemed they cared more about obedience than true governance, concerned only with maintaining control while neglecting the suffering of Dressrosa's people.

The recent actions of Entei, Portgas D. Ace, in challenging the Celestial Dragons had resonated with King Riku, who had lost his kingdom to Doflamingo's brutal rule. The world was changing, and the only one standing boldly against the World Government was the Flame Emperor. The Flame Emperor Incident had shown King Riku the future path: a looming confrontation between the World Government and Flame Emperor.

In such times, every nation would be forced to choose a side. The people of Dressrosa had no hope in the World Government; choosing to align with the Flame Emperor was, for them, a wise choice. Though Entei's forces might appear weaker than the World Government's, King Riku was no fool. Entei had defied them at the Sabaody Archipelago, and the government's reluctance to pursue him proved that the Flame Emperor held power that even they feared.

Furthermore, King Riku recognized that without the intervention of the Flame Emperor, Dressrosa would have been trapped indefinitely under Doflamingo's tyranny. Returning to the World Government's camp now, after being saved by the Flame Emperor, would only provoke his wrath. And if that happened, King Riku knew the World Government would not intervene on their behalf.

"Rebecca," King Riku's voice softened, "I will do my best to help you govern the country." He looked earnestly at his granddaughter, then addressed the people around them. Whether he could continue to help Dressrosa would now depend on the support of the legendary man who had freed them.

"I understand," Rebecca replied, glancing at her grandfather to the Entei Pirates' flag. She bit her lip, then nodded in solemn acceptance.

Though the people were surprised by King Riku's decision, they ultimately embraced it, reassured that he would still be there to guide them.

With this, Dressrosa, like Amazon Lily before it, officially joined the Entei Pirate's domain.
