The aftermath of the catastrophe

The moment another dark barrier surrounded the island, Dragon and Kuzan understood that they were in a disadvantageous position. So along with Saul, they decided to retreat. The dark veil, which was stopping them from using their devil fruit power, was not stopping them from physically leaving the Island.

"That crazy woman was letting her haki rampage wildly.

We need to retreat now !" Dragon shouted.

"Don't worry, Kuma has already left when he felt the powerful haki ! Now it's just us three !"

Kuzan shouted back.

They used geppo to leave as quickly as possible.

Just a moment later the trio of revolutionaries and archaeologists left the island, Xebec-Roger-Garp trio stopped fighting. All of their eyes widened simultaneously as they saw a terrible future.

""Everyone ! retreat ! Now !"""

The three captains shouted loudly.

Everyone who could hear them immediately took action. The three captains separated and jumped away. Xebec went in the opposite direction of Garp and Roger.

Just as they left the island a huge explosion rocked the entire Island and the frozen sea around it. The shock wave alone was enough to blow off the barrier around the Island. It also affected everyone who was running away, sending them flying away.

Everyone looked back to see a huge explosion along with 4 smaller explosions on the island. After such an attack, the survival of the island was impossible.

The wind generated from the explosion, caused almost all of the celestial dragons, who were in the ship of the world government, to fly away.

Among the chaos, a smiling red haired brat was sent flying to a random direction. At the same time the indestructible poneglyph which was lying around The Island was also sent flying. It is due to fate or some bigger force playing a game, but the road poneglyph positioned itself in between the red haired brat and the Island. It protected him from the shock wave and the heat wave that followed the explosion.

Both of these entities flew away to the end of the iceberg where a certain pirate ship was roaming in the ocean.

"Hey hey hey ! Look what a huge explosion !" Spencer exclaimed.

"Hey, do you think the captain is okay ?" Dmac asked worriedly.

"Maybe…. No ! I am sure that the captain is fine ! And besides, Rayleigh and Gabban were with him.

"Hey ! Spencer ! Look, something is trying towards us !" With that warning, Spencer stretched his observation haki when his eyes widened in shock.

"Quick maneuver the ship ! Someone give me a pillow !"

Spencer jumped into the air masterfully catching the flying baby with a pillow. While the road poneglyph crashed into the ice in front of the ship of the Roger pirates.

Shiki, Newgate, Kaido and an unconscious Linlin were flying far above the island.

"Damn ! What a powerful haki !" Newgate exclaimed. They were fighting deep inside the island. So even though they managed to come to the coast, they couldn't have gotten away from the range of the explosion without the devil fruit power of Shiki. Without Shiki's help, Newgate wasn't so sure that he would have survived such a powerful explosion.

"You bastards ! You owe me your lives !" Shiki grunted. Shiki himself was very lucky that he regained his ability to use his devil fruit power just in time to fly away along with some of these powerful allies.

"I owe you a favor…" Newgate admitted.

"Three… Newgate ! It is three favors for you !" Shiki tried to take advantage of the situation.

"Fine…" Newgate didn't disagree.

Due to how powerful the explosion was, the island itself started to break apart. The ice around the island which was holding it in one place slowly melted away due to the heat from the explosion.

As a result the upper plates of the island started to slowly crumble away and sink into the ocean.

Garp and Roger didn't stop and continued to run away from the explosion while laughing madly. This entire fight was very serious for them at the beginning. But somewhere in the middle of the fight the three Ds started fighting over whose favorite food is better.

And now after escaping the island, without achieving any of their goals, Roger was running away and Garp was chasing him like cat and mouse.

On the other hand, Xebec couldn't run away like Garp and Roger. Whether it is his bad luck or fate itself trying to kill him, but the route he took to escape the island had a dyna stone planted in it.

By the time his observation haki warned him about the future, it was already too late.

*Boom*

Xebec protected his body with armament haki. But he was not fast enough to cover his entire body with the color of armament. As a result his legs couldn't survive, due to the sheer heat of the explosion, both of his legs turned into ashes.

Xebec greeted his teeth as he tried to escape. But when the ice broke apart around the Island, he fell into the water.

It was clear that even if he managed to survive, his career in piracy was over.

The explosion caused an earthquake. Fortunately even though the magnitude of the earthquake was really high, due to the Frozen sea around the Island, it didn't spread to sea and caused any tsunami.

The shock wave of the explosion was devastating enough to cause the entire frozen sea to break apart. It was so loud that it was heard across the entire West blue. For the first time people of the world experienced fear.

The news coo birds which were recording the happenings of the island from the distance were blown far away.

The smoke cloud was large enough to reach above clouds, where the Black Bird was flying before. Fortunately the moment Queen noticed the fluctuation of haki in Maki, he drove away Black Bird in order to not get affected by his boss's crazy haki.

So the flying ship was at a relatively safe distance from the direct impact range of the explosion.

AN: Alright, now to make some things clear. I have some plans regarding the old Xebec in the future. That's why I have decided to keep him alive. In this chapter I mostly described how that explosion basically ended everyone's fight. But don't worry the main fight has not ended yet.
