The silence that followed was suffocating. The Nazgûl's final words still lingered in the air, a whisper that refused to fade.

"You can not stop it. The Ring's master has already awoken."

A chill crept over the ruins. Even though the air in Mordor had always been oppressive, this felt different—like something unseen was watching them.

Luffy tilted his head. "Oi… is it just me, or did it get creepier?"

Usopp wrapped his arms around himself, shivering. "Nope! It's definitely creepier! Super creepy! We should LEAVE."

Zoro scoffed, resting his hand on his swords. "We just got here."

Sanji exhaled a thin cloud of smoke. "Tch. Whatever that thing meant, it clearly didn't want us to keep going."

Robin adjusted her hat, her eyes still dark with thought. "That's exactly why we need to."

The ruins had begun to shift. The pillars of black stone that had risen from the earth groaned under their own weight, as though they had not felt the touch of air for centuries. Strange symbols glowed faintly on their surfaces—not elvish, not dwarvish, nor anything from modern Middle-earth.

Gandalf stepped forward, his staff tapping against the cracked earth. His expression was unreadable, but his grip on his staff was tight.

"This writing…" he murmured. "It should not exist."

Nami frowned. "What do you mean?"

The wizard's eyes darkened. "This is older than Sauron. Older than Mordor itself."

Franky whistled. "Damn. That's pretty old."

But before anyone could speak further, Robin let out a sudden breath—a quiet gasp.

She took a slow step back, her hands tightening into fists.

"…This writing," she whispered, "it's the same as the Poneglyphs."

A hush fell over the crew.

Zoro's brows furrowed. "You're sure?"

Robin's gaze was locked on the glowing symbols, her breath uneven. She reached out, slowly tracing the air above one of the markings with her fingers.

"…It's a different script," she admitted. "More ancient. But the structure… the way it flows… it's the same."

Nami's voice was quiet. "Then… that means the Void Century is connected to this place."

Chopper tilted his head. "But how? Wasn't the Void Century just about what happened in our world?"

Gandalf turned toward the ruins. "Perhaps… it was never just about your world."

The air seemed to pulse. The very ruins themselves… were listening.

---

The Door to the Past

Luffy stepped forward, staring at the massive ruins. "So if this is like a Poneglyph… does that mean it's hiding something?"

Robin nodded. "Most Poneglyphs tell history. But if this one is connected to Mordor… there might be something buried beneath it."

Franky cracked his knuckles. "Say no more, I got this!"

The shipwright stepped forward and punched the surface of one of the ruins—only for the impact to send a massive tremor through the ground.

The earth shook violently. Cracks spread outwards, glowing with a dim, eerie blue light.

Gandalf's eyes widened. "Wait—"

A deep, resonant hum filled the air. The symbols on the ruins flared to life, burning with an otherworldly glow.

And then—

A door appeared.

It was massive, stretching at least thirty feet high, formed from the same blackened stone as the ruins. But unlike the weathered surroundings, the door was untouched by time. Its surface was smooth, polished, and perfectly sealed.

At its centre, an inscription burned into existence.

Robin's breath caught. "It's… in the same language."

Luffy grinned. "Well? What's it say?"

Robin took a step forward, reading aloud:

"The truth of the lost age… sleeps beneath the Eye."

Usopp took a shaky breath. "I don't like the sound of that."

Gandalf frowned. "The 'Eye'… Could it mean—?"

Sanji's eyes narrowed. "Sauron's Eye?"

Robin slowly shook her head. "No. It's referring to something else."

Luffy tilted his head. "Then let's open it and find out!"

And without hesitation—

He slammed his hand against the door.

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then—

A low, thunderous BOOM echoed across Mordor.

The ground split beneath them.

---

The Descent into the Forgotten Depths

Before anyone could react, the earth gave way.

"W-WOAHHHH!!"

The crew plummeted downward, swallowed by the collapsing ruins. Dust and debris filled the air as they tumbled into the abyss below.

Robin barely had time to summon hands to slow her fall. Zoro and Sanji twisted in midair, trying to grab onto something, but the sheer depth of the hole was too great.

Luffy, of course, was laughing the entire way down.

"WOOOOHOOOOO! THIS IS FUN!!"

CRASH!

They landed hard, dust and rubble exploding around them.

Chopper groaned, pulling himself up. "Ugh… my head…"

Usopp coughed. "I… I think I swallowed some ancient dirt."

Sanji stood up, brushing himself off. "Oi, where the hell are we?"

As the dust settled, their surroundings became clear.

They were in a massive underground chamber.

The walls were made of dark stone, covered in more glowing inscriptions. But what drew their attention the most… was what stood at the centre.

A massive black throne.

It was ancient, carved from the same cursed stone as the ruins above. And resting upon it—

A figure, cloaked in deep crimson.

The moment their eyes landed on it—

It moved.

A slow, deliberate shift. The air itself seemed to freeze as the figure's head turned toward them.

A voice—low, powerful, and inhuman—filled chamber.

"…You are not of this land."

Gandalf's grip tightened on his staff. "Who are you?"

The figure slowly rose from the throne, its red cloak billowing like liquid shadows.

And then—

Two piercing golden eyes snapped open.

And they were not human.

The voice that followed was calm… but it was filled with the weight of something ancient.

"You seek the truth."

A pause.

"…Then let us see if you can handle it."
