In the original story, there were far too many unexpected and absurd events happening during the Marineford War.

Luffy's intrusion was just one of them, Aokiji and Kizaru playing it cool was another, and Mr. 3 accidentally blending into the execution squad without anyone noticing…

To be fair.

How could such an important role as the executioner be replaced without anyone realizing it?

In an army where rules are strictly enforced, what kind of international joke is this?!

Combined with the chaos in Impel Down and Teach's appearance, the Marines were pushed into a bitter battle.

All these factors combined gave Ace the chance to escape.

In the end, it forced Akainu to come up with a plan to anger the enemy by slandering Whitebeard, barely keeping Ace in check and preserving the Marines' final dignity.

However, now that Rowen had arrived, none of these unexpected events would happen again.

The reason he decisively killed Mr. 3 back in Flower Capital was to eliminate obstacles for any potential surprises in the future.

If it weren't for Luffy, the Child of Destiny, still holding some value to him, the Straw Hats would have been wiped out at G-10 long ago.

The biggest difference between Rowen and Ace was that Rowen had recognized himself early on!

Once he decided to join the Marines, Rowen wouldn't allow himself to play both sides like a reed swaying in the wind.

So at this moment, Ace no longer had the chance to team up with Luffy against their enemies; without enough unexpected support, he ultimately fell on the execution platform.

''Thump, Thump, Thump…''

While the crowd was busy cheering, footsteps echoed in the air.

Vice Admiral Yamakaji jogged to the ruins behind the execution platform, where Garp had smashed through, and asked, "Garp, are you alright?"

"I… I'm fine."

Garp leaned against the wall with a dull look in his eyes.

Even without witnessing it firsthand, how could Garp not know what had happened on the execution platform after he was blasted away?

Hearing this, Yamakaji fell silent, no longer speaking.

They all knew Ace's true identity but now was not the time to hold Garp accountable.

The old man before them was no longer the revered Marine Hero but just a grandfather who had lost his beloved grandson.

"Ah!"

With a quiet sigh, Yamakaji sat cross-legged on the ground, preventing himself from falling into despair.

Above the platform, Sengoku's stern and authoritative face revealed a hint of relief.

The public execution was complete, and the invading pirate leader Whitebeard was dead.

This war could finally be wrapped up with a neat conclusion.

But why did I feel such emptiness inside?

"Go, Rowen. End this battle."

Sengoku paused for a moment before speaking.

"Understood!"

Rowen nodded, pulling the thunder halberd from Ace's charred torso, scattering black ash everywhere.

Then, he shook it violently, producing a crisp ringing sound.

He saw the fatigue on Sengoku's face; this old man, like Garp, had lost interest in delivering the usual Marine speech.

So it was time to finish this.

Whether it was the Marineford War or this era as a whole.

"Let's start with you!"

Rowen's cold gaze looked down at Luffy, who was kneeling on the ground, staring up blankly.

Having value doesn't mean you can act recklessly.

He could turn a blind eye to Luffy's antics elsewhere; the bigger the ruckus he caused, the more value he would hold.

But that certainly did not include the battlefield of Marineford!

This was the final battleground between the Marines and pirates; there were no personal preferences, only stark camp divisions.

Since he was here, he would either win as a Marine or face death as a pirate!

Uncontrollable people and things should be eradicated completely.

''Bang!''

As thunder roared, a bolt of lightning erupted.

''Heaven-resisting Thunder Cry·Third Style!''

''Cloud Dragon Slash!''

"Not good!"

From a distance, Marco noticed Rowen's movement, filled with urgency and anger.

The Marine's azure dragon was not someone Luffy could confront!

"Where do you think you're going?"

''Clang!''

However, just as he was about to spring into action, a cold blade sent Marco flying.

Law slowly pulled back Kikoku, looking at the bloodstains left on it. He smirked and said, "Weren't you feeling strong just now when you tried to stop me? Now it's my turn!"

"This Asshole!"

Marco cursed angrily, forced to abandon his idea of supporting Luffy, and began to evade Law's slashes.

''Bang!!!''

Thunderlight struck down, engulfing Luffy in the eyes of those who watched with despair.

But…

Holding the thunder halberd, Rowen felt the sensation coming from it and frowned silently, suddenly widening his eyes.

"Is it you?!!!"

"Jihahahaha! That was close, close!"

From the dust and smoke, a boisterous laughter emerged.

Upon hearing that familiar voice, Marco and the others widened their eyes in disbelief.

''Marshall D. Teach!''

"Did you come hereto die, Blackbeard?"

Rowen glanced down, noticing Teach clutching his thunder halberd tightly with his remaining right hand, causing it to deviate from its intended trajectory, which resulted in only piercing Luffy's shoulder instead of killing him outright.

After years of accumulation, the ''Sacrifice-Sacrifice Fruit'' had nearly permeated Teach's entire body, significantly enhancing his power to a level that could not be underestimated by anyone.

"Teach, you traitor! This is our war!"

Seeing Teach suddenly appear, "Diamond" Jozu, far away, roared with rage.

Vice Admiral Momonga paused his attack, taking a half-step back, his gaze fixed on the Blackbeard who had suddenly appeared at the center of the battlefield, silently frowning.

"'Blackbeard' Teach, how did he get here?"

In such a large plaza, if he had always been here, it would have been impossible for anyone not to notice him.

With Teach's appearance, the scene fell silent.

Some young Marine soldiers looked around in confusion, unsure why everyone had chosen to stop fighting.

This guy, is he really that famous?

If someone knew their thoughts, they would surely respond.

Famous? That's an understatement!

He was not just the first traitor to appear on Whitebeard's ship, renowned for its unity!

He was also a madman that neither the underworld nor the Marines could tolerate!

Teach's bounty still hung on the Black Market, reaching an exaggerated total of over 10 Billion!

Those who wished for his death could line up from Marineford to Mariejois.

"Jihāhāhā, don't be so heartless, Commander Jozu!"

"I'm here to help!"

Saying this, Teach forcefully pushed his thunder halberd, causing Rowen to be pushed back, as he was taken aback by the overwhelming power.

''Clang!''

With his right hand angled, Rowen drove the thunder halberd into the ground, dragging out a jagged scar several meters long before finally stopping his inertia.

"Next!"

After knocking Rowen back, Teach didn't rush to respond; instead, he kicked Luffy, who had fainted, in the stomach, sending him flying backward.

Vista frowned silently, shaking off the hesitating Onigumo and rushing to catch Luffy.

"Why?"

Marco asked in confusion, then angrily questioned, "Do you think this will earn our forgiveness?!"

Killing comrades!

Even after betraying them, that was an unforgivable crime on Whitebeard's ship!

"Well, don't be so agitated, Commander Marco. I'm not here to ask for your forgiveness."

"To be honest, whether you forgive me or not doesn't really matter."

Teach grinned, his incomplete body standing squarely in front of Rowen, laughing.

"Didn't I just kill one of Pop's sons?"

"Now, I'm returning this life to him!"

"One life for another, debts cleared!!"

"What?!"

Marco was taken aback, suddenly hearing the sound of wind by his ear, barely managing to evade Law's pursuit.

One life for another?

Why?!

The members of the Whitebeard Pirates were all stunned; how could an enemy voluntarily repay a life?

"Wait, did he just say… Pops?"

Suddenly, Marco snapped back to reality, looking at Teach in shock.

After Teach had been exposed for his ambitions by Rowen, "Blackbeard" Teach had left the crew, becoming a pirate who roamed the seas freely.

It was from that moment that Whitebeard had severed ties with Teach, no longer acknowledging him as a son, as if he had never existed.

Yet now, Teach was claiming to be Whitebeard's son!

He knew he had committed an unforgivable sin and had no right to call Whitebeard "Pops," so he wasn't seeking forgiveness at all.

He merely wanted to leave this life behind as a pledge to return as a subordinate of Whitebeard!

''Clap! Clap! Clap!''

At that moment, Rowen drove the thunder halberd into the ground and leaned on it, applauding.

"Brilliant!"

With his long, domineering eyes fixed on Teach, Rowen was filled with admiration… he had to admit, Teach was indeed a qualified pirate.

He was cunning and ruthless, knowing how to bide his time and would stop at nothing to achieve his goals, merciless to enemies and even more so to himself— truly a scoundrel through and through.

But such a person also had the audacity to act boldly!

He was a pirate with genuine thoughts, not just a vine clinging to a big tree.

"However, I've also confirmed one thing."

''Buzz!''

The thunder halberd crackled with Thunderlight, the electrical currents swirling around Rowen like a storm. Looking at Teach's resolute expression, Rowen narrowed his eyes slightly.

"You're indeed here looking for death!"

"Run!"

Teach shouted angrily, suddenly stepping forward.

''Bang!''

A massive crack opened up on the Headquarters plaza, and below, Van Augur's figure emerged from the rubble, shouting to Marco and the others above.

"Jump down! I've opened a tunnel at the bottom with the stones!"
