The pirate's axe came down fast.

I barely twisted my body in time—

SHHINK!

The blade sliced the air inches from my face, embedding deep into the ground.

NOW!

I launched forward, fists clenched.

BAM!

My punch connected straight to his jaw.

But—

The pirate barely flinched.

He grinned, spitting out blood. "That all you got, brat?"

A Battle I Wasn't Ready For

Before I could react—

WHAM!

His massive fist slammed into my chest.

Pain exploded through me as I soared backward, crashing into a tree.

I gasped, my ribs screaming in agony.

Damn it… he's too strong.

I wasn't ready.

I wasn't strong enough.

But I had no choice.

If I didn't fight, I would die.

Fighting Smarter, Not Harder

I pushed myself up, forcing my body to move.

The pirate lifted his axe again, preparing to finish me.

I couldn't overpower him.

But…

I didn't need to.

Instead of attacking directly—

I ran.

Not away—but around him.

Dodging. Moving. Letting him swing and miss.

Each time he attacked, his massive axe hit the ground with a thunderous crash.

And with every miss—

He got slower.

Turning the Tide

The pirate's breathing grew heavier.

His muscles tensed as he lifted his axe again—but this time, slower than before.

Now was my chance.

I sprinted forward, stepping into his blind spot.

He swung at me—but I was already ducking.

Before he could recover—

I struck.

A punch—right to his throat.

His eyes widened in shock.

He staggered back, gasping for air.

And then—

I delivered the final blow.

A spinning kick—right to his temple.

CRACK!

He crumpled to the ground, unconscious.

One Down… Too Many Left

I stood there, panting.

The other pirates stared in shock.

For a moment, there was silence.

Then—

One of them grinned.

"Heh. Not bad, kid."

He drew his cutlass.

"But let's see how long you last against the rest of us."

My stomach twisted.

There were still five of them left.

And I was already exhausted.

I clenched my fists.

I wasn't done yet.
