Chapter 20: Bloodlines and the reason why I can't use demigod powers.
I healed the demonic bloodline in my hand. Originally it would have given me the bloodline of one of the seven demon races and some magic and instincts related to them. The seven demons were:
1. Imp
2. Incubus
3. Horder
4. Dream Demon
5. Fallen Angel
6. Crossroads Demon
7. Contract Demon
But that changed after I used the skill: Corrupt on it. Now it was this.
Bloodline: The Unbound Demon
This demon is not bound to the lands of hell, but instead is unbound. It can form connections to realms it has visited and/or explored. This demon is not part of the demonic royalty but can accept their bloodlines into itself if they are offered without losing its own/original one.
The Demon can use the magics of other races without problems or weaknesses. But physical might is lower than normal while they are young.
They appear similar to a crossbreed of owls and ravens but more sinister in nature. They have black feathers, white markings near their eyes and red eyes gleaming like rubies.
They have the ability to conjure mist and hide inside of it to attack those within. The Unbound Demon is very talented in Corruptive Knowledge and incredibly resistant to holy type magics.
They are a type of trickster demons but with enough magical and physical power to be a threat without even considering them using their inherent magic.
They have sharp claws and long arms, as they are bipedal in nature. Their legs are long and thin but not disproportionate to the rest of their bodies, making them look like very tall people disguised as Humanoid Owls.
The Bloodline of both the elves and Anubis had changed as well.
Elven Bloodline: The Unsung
There are no records of this elven race ever existing. They have short black hair, violet eyes and tend to be rather tall. Their voices have an impressive range and they have talent in singing. Furthermore, due to their talent in singing they have an incredible ability to use different blacksmithing styles including those from their homeworld LOTR.
They mainly use bows as their weapons but can master different weapons easily.
Bloodline Anubis: Void Walker
This iteration of Anubis or more specifically what a demigod child of his would look like, appears similar to the depicted form of the god but with fur covering ever part of the body. The Void Walker has a few differences though. The Void Walker is very tall and has two sets of eyes. Both are a glowing blue silver in color. There are golden markings similar to eyeliner around them. The rest of the body is generally covered in black fur with only one more detail. At the nape of its neck, across its entire sternum, was a depiction of an Ankh glowing in pale blues and gold. The Void Walker can read and track the location of souls and where they are supposed to be going to for their afterlife. It is talented in Rituals, Blood Magic and Death Magics. Furthermore the Void Walkers hunt the deceased souls and those running from death or escaping it.
So the skill didn't actually change much of the bloodlines. Atleast not as much as it would probably be able to in the future. For the demonic one it had just fused all the Demon races together, enhanced it slightly and added the ability to gather and use corruption magic and knowledge without being affected.
The Elven one wasn't much different either. Instead of long blond hair I was going to have black short hair. The ability and talent in the blacksmithing styles was the strengthend aspect and the talent in singing was the added one.
The Anubis bloodline was a lot different though. Previously I would just be able to take two forms. Human and Anubis form. The skill didn't change that. But it did change my appearance in Anubis form. It added a few more skills/abilities to the mix and enhanced my talents but that was it. Or not. The realm thingy was really a powerful add on.
Over all, there was no way for me to not like the outcome of this experiment.
[Host just has to drink the blood inside the vials.]
[For the most efficient way of getting the power the host wants it is advised to add the material before drinking but it is possible to add anything even after consumption.
Does host wish to fuse the bloodlines with a material?]
[The bloodlines would gain traits such as Shadow Manipulation, Corruption Devouring and more than likely an enhancement of all "unholy" traits such as soul/sin magic.]
[Not necessarily host. You will grow up to be extremely powerful and you will have to train a lot of different skills but I don't see you stopping for that reason.]
[There is however again the need for the use of the bloodlines event hough most of the active skills will only unlock once you are claimed.]
[No Host you have not. The reason for that is to hide your existence from enexpected eyes and to keep the storyline as close to Canon as possible. Furthermore once you are at camp and at the quests you will moslikely be unable to use any ability and skill not related to your bloodline.]
[Because host, unlucky for you, you are the main character of this. There are however a few exceptions to the rule. I just can't let you use your divine/bloodline abilities just yet.]
I gave up. Was I disappointed that I wouldn't be able to use all of my skills and abilities to help the people from the story? Yes I absolutely was but I noticed something the system didn't explicitly said. Once I was claimed, I would be able to use my bloodline powers as I wanted. The only limitation after that was during the quests but that was the only one.
