Chapter 1369 An “Honourable” Battle?

"What are you thinking?" Standing beside him, Shinji asked Kisuke after noticing the latter that he's out of focus.

"Nothing much. Just what should I do next after all of this is over." Kisuke has been thinking about the 'clues' that the Holy Mother gave him and while he has an idea, he's not sure until he could confirm the other two help that he needs to gather.

At that moment, two other men came approaching, "To think I'll be stepping on another planet..." Ichigo muttered while looking around at the desolate red scenery, "Technically speaking, we were already on another planet the moment we came to this world."

Renji, meanwhile, was busy checking his body, "How do you even make candies like these? Is it really possible to survive such a hostile environment with just those?"

Kisuke turned towards them and also checked their condition, "I had them made when I thought that aliens would be visiting. It won't lose its effect even if you exert yourself so don't worry about going all out if needed."

"How long would this last?" Shinji asked.

"About a week but I doubt this will take that long. Even if it did, I have tons of it on me and you can munch on it if you're bored." Kisuke tossed them a few more candies in their direction.

Renji took a look at it for a bit before keeping it, "I'll have to ask you to start supplying the Gotei 13 with this. I'm worried that once Captain Kurotsuchi gets a hold of this, he'll create something similar... And I'm not looking forward to his drugs."

"Outside of possible physical changes, his drugs are more effective than my own, though?"

"That's the problem..." Renji shivered, "We don't know when we'll be transformed into something unrecognizable. Worst yet, he'll dissect us before returning us to normal."

Ichigo sighed and interrupted Renji, "Enough of that morbid topic. I'm more interested in the life that Urahara-san is leading right now." He then turned towards the group of women having a carefree tea party, "I heard the rumors but I still can't believe you can pull something like this off, Urahara-san."

Aside from the four men who came to Mars, Yoruichi, Aika, Riveria, Sona, Serafall, Batsu'unsai, Furoufushi, Soifon, and Retsu were also present and having a great time among themselves.

Kisuke grinned at him and jokingly said, "What? Jealous?"

Ichigo hurriedly turned towards him with a fed-up expression, "No way. Orihime's going to kill me if my mind even slightly deviates toward that."

"Well, it's Urahara we're talking about. I'm surprised but also not." Renji added with a grin. "Though what sort of people would have a tea party in a situation like this? And considering the setup they have, what sort of flowery conversation are they having."

"You're right." Ichigo muttered seeing the lively conversation, "Is it alright if I introduce Orihime to them? She could use a bit of downtime."

"That's a good idea! Let me introduce them to Rukia too."

Shinji looked at them speechlessly and asked, "Are you not hearing the words that are coming out of their mouths?"

"Why should we? Isn't that rude?"

Shinji placed his hand on the top of his forehead, "Then I suggest you do it before you do anything reckless."

Ichigo and Renji were skeptical and thought that even if it's a bit sensitive, it shouldn't be that bad considering how lively they are but as soon as they started listening in, they shivered.

Right now, Yoruichi is telling a story of how she removed the balls of the bastards that disrespected Koneko and Kuroka.

Kisuke smiled wryly and said, "Well, women of this world tend to act more boldly, at least, the people that I know, so Yoruichi's brazenness has leveled up for a bit. As for Soifon... You know how much she likes getting along with her nonsense."

Shinji shrugged his shoulders and changed the subject, "Are you sure that they are going to come to this very obvious bait and trap?"

"If the Zero Division was not here, I wouldn't dare pull something like this." While speaking, various alarms started ringing directly in Kisuke's head, notifying him that there's a huge movement that's happening on Earth right now. With the Zero Division holding the line for him for his precious ones, he could rest assured even if the enemies split their forces.

Kisuke closed his eyes and tuned in to the specific alarms that went off. After guessing what was happening, Kisuke turned to Shinji, "You're up."

"Oh? Are they sending the small fries first?"

"They probably want to brute force the 'traps' I prepared for them."

Shinji started walking forward while pulling out his Zanpakuto, "Well, they have the numbers, alright?"

"Hold on. I'd have to remind you that your Zanpakuto might not work on the Evies."

"I know. It affects the perception so it probably won't work on those who can't perceive it in the first place."

Kisuke nodded, "As long as you know." While he was hoping that Shinji's Bankai would work on everyone, that's just wishful thinking that doesn't match the evidence that they have gathered until now. However, Shinji is still a capable Captain of the Gotei 13. If half of his enemies are affected, that's more than enough for him to deal with the situation as a whole, as long as he's not caught off-guard, of course.

Seeing Shiji prepare, the girls also stopped their tea party and started cleaning up and as soon as they were done, thousands of Magic Circle appeared on the surface of Mars.

Kisuke tapped his feet and in an instant, the surface became covered in a thin black sheet of Spiritual Power. Even though it looks like they spread out as much as possible, they were still all caught in this black sheet and just as they are about to materialize, they all disappeared along with Shinji.

"Hold on... Could it be that..." Renji muttered after feeling the familiar signature of the Spiritual Power.

"Yep, [Invaders Must Die]. It's a copy of it." Kisuke nodded then looked up, "Although it'll only work one time."

Feeling another set of strange Spiritual Power on top of them, everyone else also looked up and saw hundreds of flaming spears raining down and they were all accurately targeting the devices that Kisuke used to activate Yukio Hans Vorarlberna's Fullbring Ability.
