"What should Ash do now?" Seeing this scene, Misty hurriedly rushed to Ash's side, her voice laced with worry.
"What can we do? Fight!" Ash adjusted the brim of his cap with a confident grin. Misty recognized that look—it meant Ash was ready for battle.
"Pikachu, use Electro Ball! Charmander, Flamethrower! Axew, Dragon Rage!" Ash commanded. Pikachu darted forward, unleashing its signature move, while Charmander and Axew appeared in flashes of light, immediately joining the fray with their attacks.
**BOOM!**
The beach shook with the force of a massive explosion, sending Trainers and Pokémon alike flying. Amidst the chaos, a red-haired boy turned to Ash, his face stern.
"I don't need your help!" the boy declared coldly.
"Who said I was helping you? I just don't like that old woman," Ash replied with a sly smile. His words caught the boy off guard, leaving him speechless. Misty and Brock exchanged amused glances, stifling their laughter.
As more Trainers gathered around, Ash's expression turned serious. The red-haired boy, seeing this, quickly shifted focus, matching Ash's vigilance.
"You two, if you're not fighting, go hide somewhere safe! I can't protect you right now!" Ash warned Misty and Brock.
"I'm not hiding! I won't let anyone harm water-type Pokémon!" Misty retorted with fierce determination. "Starmie, Staryu, use Water Gun!" she commanded, her Pokémon leaping into action.
"Onix, use Rock Tomb!" Brock called out calmly. His actions spoke louder than words as he joined the fray.
**BOOM! BOOM!**
Explosions erupted across the beach as attacks landed on both sides. Though the enemy Trainers weren't particularly strong, their sheer numbers gave them the upper hand. The four battled valiantly but were clearly outnumbered.
Nearby, a worried Horsea watched the chaos from the sea. Feeling powerless, it glanced toward a yacht where an elderly woman sat, observing the battle. Resolute, Horsea dove into the water and disappeared beneath the waves.
Back on the shore, Ash and the red-haired boy managed to hold their ground. However, Misty and Brock's Pokémon were nearing their limits. Starmie and Staryu had already been defeated, forcing Misty to recall them. Brock's Onix, with its impressive durability, still held firm, but the tide of Trainers showed no signs of slowing.
"What do we do? If this keeps up, Ash and the others won't be able to hold on much longer!" Misty said, her voice edged with concern.
Suddenly, streaks of red light pierced the crowd of opposing Pokémon, hitting them directly. Their expressions shifted immediately, as if something had changed.
The Pokémon's eyes glowed red, and a flock of bird Pokémon appeared above their heads. Suddenly, many of the previously loyal Pokémon turned feral, glaring fiercely at their Trainers.
"Ah! Raticate, what are you doing?" one Trainer cried out in shock.
"Koffing, what's wrong with you?" another shouted.
"Pinsir, no... don't come near me!"
The abrupt shift in behavior left the Trainers in chaos. Ash frowned as he observed the scene, his sharp eyes scanning the area. Nearby, Misty and Brock also turned their attention to the surroundings, clearly alarmed.
The mysterious red light continued to strike, hitting more Pokémon. Then, from the sea, countless blue shapes began to rise. The water churned as a dense swarm of Tentacool emerged, their sheer numbers staggering. It was as though the ocean itself had come alive. Each Tentacool had fierce, glowing red eyes, with vivid red gems embedded on the sides of their helmets and a smaller ruby adorning the top of their heads. They looked terrifying as they used their tentacles to drag themselves out of the water and onto the beach.
There were so many of them—hundreds, possibly thousands—and they now surrounded everyone, Trainers and Pokémon alike. Even Nastina's yacht was encircled by the Tentacool, leaving no escape.
"What... what's going on, Nastina?!" Misty cried out, her voice filled with disbelief.
"It seems the Tentacool are here for revenge," Ash stated calmly, though his expression was serious.
Suddenly, the Pokémon with glowing red eyes began attacking indiscriminately. Some lashed out at other Pokémon, while others turned against their own Trainers, who screamed in fear and confusion.
Amid the chaos, Misty stepped forward, her voice sharp and full of conviction. "Do you see now? This is the result of your actions! Even if you don't care about what you've done to the Tentacool, at least think about your own Pokémon!"
Her words struck a chord. The Trainers, surrounded by the intimidating swarm of Tentacool, began to hesitate. The sight of their own Pokémon losing control and attacking them left many frozen with fear and guilt.
At that moment, a sudden movement by the sea caught Misty's eye.
"Huh? Horsea!" she exclaimed. Recognizing her Pokémon, she ran to the shoreline and gently picked it up. Horsea blinked at her, its gaze warm but serious.
"Horsea! I'm so glad you're safe," Misty said, relief flooding her voice. She then noticed something unusual in Horsea's expression. "Wait… Horsea, are you saying you called these Tentacool here?"
Horsea gave a determined chirp, confirming Misty's suspicion.
The scene remained tense, with the Tentacool encircling everyone and chaos still unfolding among the Trainers' Pokémon. It was clear that Horsea had a plan, but what it intended to do next was anyone's guess.
