Pokémon Breeder In One Piece!

Chapter 323: Chapter 323

Dak: Who could understand this?

Just a few days ago, he had been fighting for peace alongside his close companion. Now, suddenly, he was faced with someone claiming to be Madara's daughter—who was older than him!

Not to mention, she was 28 years old, meaning she was born ten years after Dak had left.

At that time, Madara would have been around 41.

"Ahahaha, Dak! Look at your dumbfounded face! Ahahaha, everyone, come and see!"

Suddenly, a cheeky but familiar voice echoed from behind Uchiha Kibu.

"Kakuzu, you haven't changed a bit. No, actually, you seem even cheekier now."

Dak poked his head out and felt as if he'd been transported back to a few days ago.

Kakuzu was still the same Kakuzu, unchanged in the slightest. The longevity effect of Earth Grudge Fear seemed to have been reclassified as his racial trait on Pokémon Island.

In this world, it was as if Kakuzu wasn't an ordinary human but a naturally long-lived species with five hearts.

"Long time no see, Dak."

From the courtyard behind Kakuzu, a somewhat aged voice rang out.

Hearing it, Dak hesitated to look.

"Thirty-eight years… It's been so long since we last met, Dak."

"You really are something. How could you only say goodbye to Madara?"

Izuna and Hanzo's voices followed, equally aged.

Dak sighed and raised his eyes to see six figures in the courtyard.

Madara, Izuna, and Hanzo were among them.

All three had graying hair, with Izuna and Hanzo's bodies hunched over, relying on canes for support.

Madara, however, remained relatively robust and upright, likely due to the natural enhancements of his Mangekyō Sharingan, which slowed his aging.

"You all…"

Dak opened his mouth but couldn't find the words.

"You haven't changed a bit."

Madara squinted and smiled. Over the decades, his temperament seemed to have softened considerably.

"And what about these two?"

Dak gestured to two others standing beside the trio.

"Hey, Dak, what's that supposed to mean? I'm Madara's sworn brother! Gurararara!"

Hearing the familiar laugh, Dak immediately recognized the figure as Edward Newgate.

"What? Shouldn't I be the elder brother here?"

Madara, despite acknowledging their brotherhood, refused to admit he was the younger.

The other two in the courtyard were Itachi and Sasuke, the Uchiha brothers, who now appeared to be Newgate's adopted sons.

"Just got back?"

Madara redirected his gaze toward Dak.

"Yeah, do you want me to have Dialga—"

"No need."

Before Dak could finish, Madara shook his head, rejecting the idea.

Izuna and Hanzo, sipping tea quietly, also showed no desire to return to their youth.

"Why not?"

"Dak, not everyone fears death. For us, this life has been fulfilling enough. We can leave without regrets."

Madara's Mangekyō Sharingan glimmered with calm resolve.

"Indeed, it's enough. We've lived long enough."

Izuna and Hanzo nodded, having come to terms with the cycle of life and death.

"…But I don't want you to die. To me, we've only just met three months ago."

"…?"

The three of them froze at Dak's words.

To them, memories of Dak were from 38 years ago. To Dak, it had just happened.

This was precisely why Dak resented time travel.

Who knew if loved ones on the other side of the time stream were still alive?

He wasn't some immortal cultivator who could detach himself from human emotions and accept the loss of family and friends so easily.

Especially when such losses were unnecessary—it was all the harder to accept.

"You've seen it yourselves. Pokémon Island still has many undeveloped areas. New worlds will emerge in the future, and I need trustworthy, capable people to help me oversee everything. There aren't many like you three."

Dak tried to persuade them, though his reasoning was more of an excuse. Pokémon Island was hardly lacking talent; the future would only bring more.

The real issue was Dak's unwillingness to lose them.

"You're as eloquent as ever."

Madara glanced at him. "Are you planning to make us work for you for life?"

"Of course not. You can explore other worlds, experience their cultures. I doubt you're not curious. The connection between the Shinobi World and Pokémon Island has only existed for two months; you haven't even been out to sea yet."

Dak grinned, sensing he had successfully convinced Madara. "Once you've had your fill of exploration, the Pokémon Alliance can surely find you some cushy roles."

With Madara on board, Izuna's decision was moot. As for Hanzo…

Dak had noticed that Hanzo didn't truly want to die; he was just going along with the Uchiha brothers.

"No one can outmaneuver you."

Hanzo wiped the sweat from his brow, relieved he wouldn't be forced into an early departure.

From the sidelines, Newgate chimed in. "Gurararara! Madara, I've always heard you boast about how strong you were at your peak. Let me see it for myself. Otherwise, I won't be able to sleep at night."

"Hmph?!"

Madara's eyes narrowed at the provocation.

Dak quickly intervened, pulling Madara aside. "Enough of that. Explain this to me."

He gestured to Uchiha Kibu, who had been quietly following them.

"What's there to explain? Kibu already introduced herself."

"This isn't something a simple introduction can explain! I never pegged you as someone who'd leave behind a descendant!"

Dak slapped his forehead.

He had imagined many scenarios upon returning, but never one where Madara had a child.

"What do you want to know?"

"Who's Kibu's mother?"

Dak was intensely curious about who could've convinced Madara to father a child.

"The descendant of the Senju Clan, just an ordinary widow. When Shukaku and Kurama first fought, it caused a massive disturbance. Around the same time, the Dragon Vein reacted abnormally, and several ninjas from the future appeared. My brother went to investigate and vanished for two years."

Izuna seemed eager to share the story, regardless of Madara's opinion.

Dak's heart skipped a beat.

Madara was already the strongest in the Shinobi World at the time. What kind of incident could have left him severely injured?

"Izuna, stop talking!"

Madara, irritated, smacked Izuna to the ground.

"Madara disappeared for two years. When he returned, he was carrying an infant girl. We only discovered the full story through our investigations later."

Hanzo filled in the gaps, ignoring Madara's protests.

Apparently, during those two years, Madara had been gravely injured, taken in by the widow, and developed feelings for her, eventually leading to Kibu's birth.

"I've never met my mother. Father forbids me from asking."

Kibu suddenly spoke up, voicing her discontent.

Madara's Rinnegan glared at her, prompting her to hide behind Dak in fear.

"Seriously? Scaring kids at 70?"

Dak pushed Madara aside, standing protectively in front of Kibu.

Although Madara appeared around 70, he had actually lived for over 90 years.

Despite that, Dak held Kibu in high regard. She was the only child of one of his companions, making him her uncle by all accounts.

This dynamic made Dak unconsciously overlook that Kibu was technically older than him.

"Kibu, you'd better not ask. If Madara doesn't want to say, he must have his reasons."

Izuna, despite doting on Kibu, firmly believed she shouldn't know the truth.

He had once pressed Madara about it himself.

Kibu's mother had died giving birth—not because of Kibu, but because of Madara.

Madara wasn't a normal person; his body contained Hashirama's cells, Black Zetsu's influence, and Indra's chakra.

No ordinary human could have given birth to his child without sacrificing their life.

Izuna decided long ago that Kibu should never learn this truth.

Dak, too, sensed the complexity of the situation and dropped the subject.

The reason for her death didn't matter.

"Uncle Dak, revive my mother, and I'll marry you!"
