POKEMON: PICK UP THE MYSTICAL POKEMON DIANCIE AT THE BEGINNING

Chapter 35: Chapter 35: Into the Wilderness

Victor woke up in the soft, plush queen-sized bed of the Mimosa Hotel. Despite the comfort, the mysterious voice from his dreams persisted, its words once again fading from his memory upon waking. He had grown accustomed to the strange experience, and it no longer unsettled him.

Stretching beneath the duvet, Victor fumbled on the bedside table until he found what he was looking for—two Poké Balls. Enlarging them, he held up a sleek black Luxury Ball.

The high-end Poké Ball was spacious and lavish, offering Pokémon a supremely comfortable environment. The night before, he had transferred Carbink and TORRACAT into these Luxury Balls, which they seemed to appreciate immensely. Carbink, in particular, noted the restorative energy within, while TORRACAT simply found it irresistible for napping.

Now that his Pokémon had a comfortable space even in the wilderness, Victor felt ready for the journey ahead.

---

After checking out of the Mimosa Hotel, Victor set out from kirmira City and into the wild. His destination was SeawindCove City, a coastal hub downstream along a great river.

This leg of the journey would take Victor through untamed terrain, a perfect opportunity for training, battling, and perhaps even finding a new Pokémon partner.

As he walked, Victor released Carbink and TORRACAT from their Luxury Balls. The wilderness was no place to lower his guard, as wild Pokémon could attack at any time.

The river that flowed from kirmira City to SeawindCove City was teeming with aquatic Pokémon, many of which had swum upriver from the sea.

It wasn't long before Victor encountered one—a Tentacruel blocking his path.

Pokémon Data

Species: Tentacruel

Type: Water/Poison

Gender: ♂

Ability: Rain Dish (restores HP in rain)

Level: 35

Moves: Poison Sting, Water Gun, Acid, Wrap, Bubble Beam...

The Tentacruel's level placed it in the early elite tier—a small but formidable boss in the river. Its power was nothing to scoff at.

Victor turned to his Pokémon. "Which of you wants to take this one on?"

Carbink and TORRACAT exchanged glances before Carbink stepped forward, ready for battle.

---

The Tentacruel wasted no time, firing a barrage of Poison Stings that rained down like a volley of arrows.

"Carbink, use Dazzling Gleam!"

The shimmering light from Carbink's attack countered the onslaught, neutralizing the Poison Stings in a radiant explosion.

Tentacruel began charging its next move—a concentrated Aurora Beam forming between its tentacles.

"Alright, let's fight light with light! Carbink, charge up a Meteor Beam! TORRACAT, help with Flamethrower!"

Victor wasn't above a two-on-one advantage in the wild. As TORRACAT's flames collided with the Aurora Beam, the resulting explosion obscured the battlefield. Then, Carbink's Meteor Beam pierced through the chaos, striking Tentacruel directly.

The Tentacruel, battered and bruised, decided it wasn't worth the fight. It turned tail and retreated into the river.

Victor watched it go, amused. "Not the bravest opponent, but I can't blame it. Losing in the wild can mean losing your life."

---

The journey continued, with Victor encountering several more wild Pokémon along the way. Most were around the elite level, but none posed a significant challenge. Carbink and TORRACAT handled them deftly, growing stronger with each victory.

By the end of the day, TORRACAT had reached level 26, edging closer to its final evolution. Carbink's level remained unchanged, but its abilities were improving thanks to the Rare Candies Victor had exchanged from his system.

As night fell, Victor found a safe, elevated spot to set up camp. He pitched his tent, a high-tech model from his space backpack, and settled in for the night.

Carbink took the first watch while Victor and TORRACAT rested. The night passed uneventfully, the wilderness eerily quiet under the stars.

Meanwhile, far away in the Spiral Secret Realm, two cloaked figures stood before the mysterious Dragonspiral tower.

"Several days ago, the machine we installed here detected a massive energy fluctuation," said a short figure in a hood, their voice filled with curiosity.

The taller figure, speaking in a raspy voice, examined the device. "The peak output was at championship to master level. It could validate the old records."

"Any recent anomalies in the area?"

"Just a tremor, like an earthquake."

The shorter one sneered. "Is the informant reliable? Or are they wasting our time?"

"They've provided entry and exit logs for the Secret Realm. Worth investigating," the taller figure replied.

"Then do it. The Nova Organization can't afford to miss any opportunities. We've searched countless Secret Realms with no results, and the United Alliance is breathing down our necks. If we fail again, they'll pin us down like rats."

The short figure shuddered, clearly recalling something unsettling.

As the two figures continued their work, the tower loomed above them, its secrets waiting to be uncovered.
