Sato skimmed through the book and quickly realized it was about raising Electric-type Pokémon.

Of course, this crudely compiled book was an abridged version, containing only information on raising Pikachu and the Magnemite family.

Even so, the book's value remained exceptionally high—knowledge about Pokémon training was indeed worth the price.

This book could save Sato many missteps while raising Pichu, ensuring he wouldn't waste Pichu's natural talent.

It would allow Pichu to grow quickly without compromising its potential.

After transferring 10 million PokeDollars to the female Team Rocket member in front of him, Sato successfully acquired the precious Thunder Orb and the abridged book from her.

Once both items were safely stored in his spatial equipment, the heavy weight pressing on Sato's heart finally lifted.

At this point, even if the female Rocket member regretted the transaction, there was no way Sato would relinquish his newfound treasures.

The Light Ball, classified as the Mutated Thunder Orb, was an exceptional item. Coincidentally, it would be perfect for his Pichu once it evolved into Pikachu.

When that happened, Sato's Pikachu would likely become incredibly powerful—perhaps even strong enough to mentor Ash's Pikachu if they ever met.

Setting aside the mind-blowing effects of massively boosting Attack and Special Attack by 2.5 times, the ability to keep Pikachu in a continuous Charge state alone was astonishing.

This meant that every Electric-type move Pikachu used would have double power, and its Special Defense would remain maximized.

As for the third effect—granting Pikachu the Static ability—it was highly practical.

Pikachu, being a high-speed, high-offense but fragile Pokémon, was especially vulnerable to close-range attacks.

The Static ability could significantly mitigate this weakness.

If luck was on their side and the opponent got paralyzed, the tide of battle could shift dramatically.

In summary, spending 10 million PokeDollars for such a powerful Thunder Orb, plus an Electric Pokémon training book, was an incredible deal for Sato.

Meanwhile, the female Team Rocket member, Mia, who had just completed the transaction with Sato, shared his sentiment.

She was delighted at how much she had profited from this deal.

Mia was a Team Rocket Leader in Saffron City, a Grass-type Pokémon specialist nicknamed "Bloody Thorn." She had the strength to stand against Elite Trainers.

She had acquired the Thunder Orb and the book as spoils of war during an operation to eliminate remnants of the Golden Gang.

The battle with a Golden Gang core member specializing in Electric Pokémon had been grueling, almost costing Mia her life.

In the end, her Grass-type Pokémon's natural advantage over Electric-types, along with their superior healing capabilities, secured her victory.

Without those factors, the outcome might have been very different.

Mia was well aware of the Thunder Orb's uniqueness but also its limited applicability, which significantly reduced its value.

Since she had no interest in raising Electric Pokémon, she decided to sell it.

Initially, the Thunder Orb attracted attention, but most potential buyers were either too poor or too stingy, offering less than the price of an ordinary Thunder Stone.

Disheartened, Mia didn't proceed with any of those offers. After all, she shared the common belief that Pikachu was too weak a Pokémon to bother raising.

If a trainer had the resources, they would have evolved it into Raichu long ago.

Thus, the Thunder Orb had remained unsold for over half a month—until she encountered Sato, the proverbial "big fish." At first, she tried raising the price as usual to gauge his reaction.

To her surprise, Sato offered the highest price she had ever received, exceeding the cost of a Thunder Stone by 1.5 million PokeDollars.

This confirmed her suspicion that he was a clueless wealthy buyer.

As expected, when she bundled the Thunder Orb with a copy of the rare training book, Sato agreed to her steep price without hesitation.

Now, even if Sato regretted his purchase, Mia wouldn't give back the 10 million PokeDollars.

For a brief moment, as they looked at each other, their eyes betrayed not only joy but also a hint of pity—each secretly viewing the other as a fool.

Yet, the sentiment was mutual and good-natured. All in all, the transaction was a win-win for both parties.

Because of the substantial amount of money involved, combined with mutual respect for each other's abilities, and their shared affiliation with Team Rocket, the two found their relationship unexpectedly deepened, almost like meeting a kindred spirit.

Mia, hoping to profit further, enthusiastically pitched more goods to Sato.

Meanwhile, Sato, eager to obtain more comprehensive Electric Pokémon training knowledge, humored her while covertly prying for information.

In the end, Mia sold him a Electroweb TM for 5 million PokeDollars, and Sato confirmed from her that the copy of the book in his possession contained all the content of the original abridged version.

"Take care. If you ever need anything good, I'll contact you first," Mia said warmly after making her third big sale, a stark contrast to her earlier demeanor.

"Fair enough. As long as it's good stuff, I'll offer a satisfying price. See you around," Sato replied, nodding.

After exchanging contact information with Mia, Sato turned and left.

His haul from this trip was substantial, and he hoped to score more treasures from Mia in the future.

However, it seemed that acquiring the Mutated Thunder Orb might have exhausted all the good fortune Sato had accumulated through good deeds.

During the rest of his treasure hunt, Sato found little of interest. Even when he did, the items were either too expensive or not worth the price.

After browsing through the free trade area, Sato left and rode his off-road bike toward the Pokémon item specialty zone.

Currently, Sato had obtained Shadow Ball and Electroweb TMs, both usable by his Beautifly, fulfilling the first objective of his visit to Saffron City's underground market.

Next, he aimed to accomplish his second goal: gathering ingredients to make Pokémon food for his Swampert and Shiny Pelipper.
