Possessive crush

Chapter 10: Chapter 9

I feel like a monkey in the zoo. I get tired of the stares and whispers of students who see me as a major source of gossip. They've been interested in my life ever since Felix announced over the school radio station that I'm his woman. Maybe no one accosts me anymore, now that the school's star has threatened to kill anyone who dares to torment me, but my life has changed dramatically.

Walking down the corridor with Eve joyfully at my side, I no longer have the strength to look at people, so my gaze is aimed at the floor. The blonde, on the other hand, feels like a fish in water, claiming that she now has a popular friend and needs to take advantage of this to shine according to others.

I think everyone already knows that we differ like fire and water.

Her jerking brings me back to earth. I half-consciously look at her as she forcibly stops me in the middle of the hallway, as her gaze finds Sebastian. The poor boy looks stressed as he realizes she's about to torment him again.

- Wait for me a moment. I have to say hello to my sweetie.

I roll my eyes and lean my back against the wall. Crossing my arms over my chest, I look pityingly at my friend as she gets her sheep and attaches her lips to his. I sometimes wonder if this doesn't already fall under sexual harassment, but since Sebastian hasn't reported to anyone that he is being sexually assaulted, then somehow he must like it. Unless Eve scares him to the point that he doesn't dare report her.

I sigh loudly, then glance at the pink watch I wear on my left hand. It's getting to eleven o'clock. Shortly, it will be the end of the break, and in an hour the coveted lunch. I am so hungry that I would eat a horse with hooves.

I scratch my forehead, wondering when my friend will stop pestering Sebastian. The boy is already all red from embarrassment, especially when she clasps his cheeks with her hands, speaking to him in a caressing voice.

- Candy, you are so sweet, I regret that I did not take an interest in you earlier. I won't give up on you so soon," she declares in a loud voice. She purposely says it loudly so that as many people as possible can hear her. She loves to be the center of attention.

- Why did you cling to me? Meet other guys as you have done so far. I don't like vulgar girls.

The blonde snorts under his breath, squeezing his cheeks harder.

- Vulgar? Don't you know that opposites attract? Since I'm vulgar, you're cute. Selena is sweet, and Felix is vulgar. Now, do you understand?

- What if two vulgar people like each other? - I blink my eyelids when, standing behind my friend's back, Hannah turns her to face me and kisses her in front of everyone.

Now it is even me who is shocked. I probably look like an idiot when I look at them with my mouth open.

Perhaps this show will ensure that at least I am not the main source of gossip.

- You finally came out of hiding.... you like me," Eve says, jabbing a finger in front of her face as Hannah finally pulls away. I thought she would react differently, but she looks happy. - It's obvious. Everyone falls in love with me at first sight. Whether it's men or women.... in everyone's eyes I am perfect," she adds, throwing her hair back.

Occasionally, I am ashamed of her behavior. Seriously.

- I wouldn't like you even if they gave me a million for it. I just wanted to show you how awful our friend feels, but I didn't think my kiss would make you so euphoric. Actually, you are knackered," declares Hannah, shaking her head.

The short-haired friend leaves, heading for the classroom, and Eve turns her attention to me. She runs up to me, blushing like a bird.

- Did you see? She clearly has a crush on me. That's why she teases me. It's out of an implicit affection for me.

- Keep telling yourself that.... - I mutter under my breath.

- Maybe I should change my goal? If Sebastian continues to be so embarrassed, I'll get bored quickly. For games, I need someone with a claw, someone like Hannah.

- Just be careful she doesn't scratch you too much with that claw. She has a stronger personality than you.

I walk to class and Eve joins me and hangs on my arm.

- You're having lunch with your little prince today, aren't you? - accosts me, to which I mutter in response. - In that case, I'm going to take advantage of this and have lunch with our wonderful classmate. It will be our first date.

Hannah has inadvertently brought down on herself an unabashed demon. I should feel sorry for her, but I know that this girl will deal with my troublesome friend rather quickly. This is confirmed when we sit down in a bench, and Hannah, who is behind us, addresses Eve directly:

- Try to speak to me in class with even a word, and with scissors I will cut off a strand of this oxidized hair. - She lifts the metal object in her hand, evidently threatening the blonde.

- That's okay. For you, I can cut my hair short. We'll look like a real couple.

I put my hand to my forehead, increasingly wondering if she has felt shame even once in her life.

Probably not.

Holding the tray of food, I watch Eve for a long moment, who is seductively making her way to the table where Hannah is sitting. I look around the cafeteria without seeing Felix or Mike anywhere. Apparently, they haven't made it to lunch yet. Having no choice, I join my friend.

- The sight of you made me lose my appetite," declares the short-haired girl, measuring Eve with a cool gaze.

- They say that when a person is in love, and he looks at that person, he feels full," replies her blonde friend smiling broadly, then glances at me. - And aren't you sitting with your little prince?

- If he were here, I certainly wouldn't be sitting with you. You're making nostrums," I mutter.

Hannah parries with laughter over my words.

I glance at my phone when I receive a message from Felix. A smile involuntarily appears on my face.

"Sorry, Selena. We'll be there in five minutes because clown Mike broke the faucet."

"Take your time. I'm sitting at a table with Eve and a classmate. You can join, because all the tables are already taken."

"We'll be right there."

I put the phone down and turn my attention to my friend, who smiles at me strangely.

- What do you mean again?

- You until you exude happiness. I envy you so much," she says, taking my face in her hands and kissing my forehead. - How happy will you be when you finally go to bed?

Burying my fork in my food, I feel confused by her words, especially since Hannah is sitting with us. The girl eats her meal, glancing at us occasionally.

- Oxidized, do you know what intimacy is? Some things are not discussed out loud," Eve points out.

The blonde focuses on her.

- If you were my girlfriend, I would spread the word to the whole world about how awesome you are," she says in a sensual voice.

- I sympathize with your future partner, although my guess is that everyone will run away from you after one day. And probably with a scream.

There are whispers in the cafeteria due to the appearance of Felix and Mike. Perhaps people wouldn't experience the sight of them so much if it weren't for the fact that they are wet from head to toe.

I smile at this sight, understanding why Felix cursed his friend for breaking the faucet.

- Is it raining outside? - asks Eve as they approach our table with trays filled with food. Felix sits down next to me, and Mike takes the seat across from us, next to Hannah. - Why are you guys so wet and sexy?

- Ask that brainless chicken," Felix replies, nodding at his friend.

- And is it my fault that I've trained my biceps and can't touch anything because I tear everything off? - mutters Mike reproachfully.

The blonde covers her breasts, with which she draws the attention of everyone at the table.

- In that case, I will never let you grab me by the boobs.

- I wouldn't even want to do that," replies her boy. - You have to have something to grab for. At your place, I can't find anything with a magnifying glass.

- As with you, you can't be seen using your brain. - Felix turns bitingly to Mike, and I force a slight smile. Their relationship is also quite funny. They love to tease each other.

- Instead of teasing me, you'd better make us aware of your relationship. Felix announced to everyone at school that Selena is his girlfriend, but did he get a response? Is it just a one-sided relationship? - Mike asks.

I feel Felix embrace my hand under the table. My cheeks redden as I look up at him.

- He surprised me, but there is no such thing as a one-sided relationship," I point out to Mike. - If there is, it's a one-sided feeling.

- Why are you so red, my friend? - Eve takes a closer look at me, and a smile appears on her face as she draws attention to our joined hands. - Ah, well, yes. You got a fever from that touch.

- Eve! - I yuck at her because she makes me feel more intimidated.

- So how is it with you guys in the end? Are you officially in a relationship?

Felix does not take his eyes off me, so I finally look him in the eye.

- Yes, we are in a relationship," I declare in a slightly embarrassed voice. The people sitting with us give an exclamation of delight. The blonde puts her hands to her chest, looking at us with love in her eyes.

- I hope to become an auntie just as soon.

Sitting across from her, Hannah kicks her under the table in the knee.

- Bite your tongue before you say anything. Your friend is only sixteen years old. Do you want to make teenage parents out of them?

The 18-year-old pulls a strand of hair away from my face and tucks it behind my ear.

- She is my gift from the heavens, so I could already tie my entire future to her," he declares. To others this seems sweet and romantic, but I feel a slight uneasiness about this sentence.

After all, relationships can sometimes be dangerous, even beautiful ones like in a fairy tale.
