Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 555 The secret behind her immortality. Behind her birth. Behind her.

555  The secret behind her immortality. Behind her birth. Behind her.

After thinking for several minutes, Sophia spoke.

"Do you think that by going to the place where she lived, you might be able to get a clue?"

"I don't know, but there might be something I remember. I can tell you everything I know and exactly who I am, but I don't think it will be of much use right now. But if you take me and I manage to find out something, I'll be greatly indebted to you."

Sophia knew it, but honestly, she didn't care about the debt at the time. She was more curious about Isla. She suddenly realized some strange peculiarities of what she remembered about that village, so she nodded to him and got up.

"Come on. There are some peculiarities I should tell you on the way."

After saying this, neither of them wanted to waste time, so they left Sophia's territory and headed for those southern mountains again, this time through a different place than the one Matthew had used to enter.

"No wonder I didn't find anything. I was quite far from this place."

"This place is really big and similar in many areas, so we tend to be guided by the age of the trees. Look at these; they are over 500,000 years old. They should be as hardy as the 100,000-year-old trees in dragon territory."

Matthew nodded.

As they looked at the giant trees, they walked across the mountain and entered an abandoned and destroyed place.

The moment they set foot inside, Sophia spoke.

"This is where the area begins. From here to several kilometers around, it was the big village where Isla lived."

Matthew frowned as soon as he set foot here. He recognized this place.

'Have I seen it? Yes, I have. I saw it when I was modifying Isla earlier...'

He didn't pay much attention to what Sophia was saying because he started to walk inside.

Sophia followed him.

"Anything?"

11:43

He frowned even more as he entered the abandoned place. "Something strange..."

"No... Not yet."

As he looked around, he looked up and looked at Sophia. "You told me there were peculiarities? Is it about this place?"

"Yes." Sophia nodded and then took some things out of her storage ring. "Isla had these things when I found her. I could never figure out what they were because they have a powerful formation. If I consider it carefully, I think the formation looks like this destroyed place. I've known it for a while, but I could never understand what they meant, and my father could never crack it."

She gave him a pendant and also a ring.

The ring had a formation that linked it to the pendant, making it a single item. But there was something else peculiar.

'Immortal energy...'

He looked back at the village and realized what Sophia was saying.

"This formation was built with immortal energy. It's normal that you can't destroy it."

"Immortal energy? Did Isla do it?"

He shook his head.

"She shouldn't..."

His mind suddenly clicked as he looked at the ring and the pendant, and he was drawn to something.

A tree that was half destroyed but was in the village's center.

"Don't the trees here seem a bit strange to you?"

Then Sophia realized it too, her eyes widening.

"Impossible. Why are they so thick? They weren't like that before."

"..."

Matthew stepped forward and walked to the middle tree. He tapped it a few times with his finger, but nothing happened.

He walked around it several times, looking for some peculiarity or reason for their growth, but there was nothing.

Only a strange cleft was still firm in a partially destroyed tree area.

Sophia looked at the cleft curiously, without thinking that it looked like something.

"That crack... Doesn't it look a bit like the pendant I gave you?"

Matthew held up the pendant and realized that it was true.

Then he put it in.

But nothing happened, or at least nothing that they could perceive.

"It fits perfectly, but there's no change."

Matthew looked at the ring. "It's possible that this ring also goes somewhere." He looked up at the tree, but something suddenly made him sharply lower his head.

"Ah!" Sophia exclaimed, surprised by what she saw.

"A hole has just opened in the pendant!" She exclaimed.

Matthew had noticed it. 'Immortal energy again.'

He didn't hesitate then and unconsciously slipped the ring into the crack, almost not understanding why, for his hand had moved on its own.

As he did so, the huge tree suddenly shook violently. At the same time, a tremor occurred in every corner of what was once a village, and every extremely thick tree began to shake. All the thick trees, as if they were more than 10 million years old, suddenly released a light interconnected with the big tree in the center.

This caused the tremor to increase up the mountain, alarming Sophia.

But Matthew seemed unfazed.

His mind suddenly found itself traveling to the past, a very, very distant past.

In that past, he was standing on top of a hill, a mountain range that stretched as far as the eye could see.

He carried a beautiful little woman in his hands, and by his side, his father looked at him with a father's tenderness.

"You have a strong determination, my son."

Matthew bent down and caressed the unconscious woman in his arms.

"I don't need my immortality to live, father. But she does. She will be our hope. What do you think?"

His father laughed a little and looked at the young woman. "I consecrated her as the First Lady of Dietrich for a reason; I think she is worthy. But that is a difficult job you are giving her. Aren't you afraid she will break?"

"No." Matthew shook his head. "She is my little treasure. I completely believe in her; her persistent and determined mentality will see her through any challenge. Until I return."

"If you have that much faith, go for it. My son, there are not many things I can teach you anymore. And my time is running out, so I will trust you and your decisions from now on. Just remember, without immortality, it would be much more difficult. Besides, if you get rid of your immortal Energy, you will never be able to become immortal again. We are not like any vampire; we are progenitors. If we get rid of what gave us birth, then we will never again be accepted by it."
