Chapter 2971: This Person Was Yu Liuli’s New Lover

Ning Shu had an androgynous appearance, so the green robes actually gave off a transcendent and elegant aura.

Yu Linglong strongly suspected that this person was Yu Liuli’s new lover.

Yu Liuli sneered, mockery written all over her face. “Second Sister, you’ve really gone to great lengths for that Fifth Prince, even going so far as to accuse me of having another man.”

“Well, since you love the Fifth Prince so much, why don’t I just give him to you? Of course, on the premise that you can actually win him over.”

Wasn’t it just a man? And honestly, that man wasn’t anything special.

He had been very cold and indifferent towards the original Yu Liuli.

Perhaps the Fifth Prince and Yu Linglong had already secretly gotten together a long time ago, which explained why they wanted the original Yu Liuli gone.

“Ridiculous! Do you even hear yourself?” Yu Xiongfeng said coldly, his face dark. “Stop embarrassing yourself and go inside.”

“This gentleman, thank you for escorting my granddaughter back. The Yu family will reward you generously, but it’s inconvenient to host you right now,” Yu Xiongfeng said, cupping his hands toward Ning Shu.

Ning Shu returned the gesture with a polite nod. “Understood.”

Yu Liuli rolled her eyes. “As my contracted beast, where do you think you’re going?”

“This is my contracted divine beast, not some random man. Yu Linglong, watch your words,” Yu Liuli sneered, lifting her chin slightly as she spoke.

A divine beast?!

Everyone froze, stunned. Their eyes burned with curiosity as they turned to stare at Ning Shu.

Their gazes felt invasive like they were examining some rare and priceless treasure.

Yu Xiongfeng looked at Ning Shu. “A divine beast?”

“Of course it’s a divine beast, so stop accusing me of being involved with some random man.”

Yu Liuli turned to Ning Shu and said, “Reveal your true form so these people can see it and stop slandering me.”

Ning Shu: …

So what was the situation now? She wanted her to reveal her true form so everyone could gawk at her like some kind of zoo exhibit?

“If you want to stay in the Yu family, show your true form. Otherwise, people will keep thinking we’re adulterers.”

Yu Liuli’s words were directed at Ning Shu, but it was clear there was another motive behind them.

Ning Shu suspected the real reason was that Yu Liuli wanted to show off.

Just now, Yu Linglong had implied that Ning Shu and Yu Liuli were involved in an inappropriate relationship, essentially putting a green hat on the Fifth Prince.

But if this “man” turned out to be a divine beast, what could beat that as a slap in the face to Yu Linglong?

Everyone’s eyes were glued to Ning Shu. Yu Liuli’s gaze was sharp and full of pressure.

Ning Shu had no choice but to reveal her true form. She transformed into a stunning peacock, her feathers shimmering with vibrant, dazzling colors that glowed magnificently under the sunlight.

Ning Shu glanced back at her own body, finding it quite fascinating.

When Ning Shu revealed her true form, everyone around gasped sharply.

Yu Liuli smirked and looked at Yu Linglong with arrogance. “See? This is my contracted divine beast.”

Yu Linglong’s expression darkened slightly, but she forced a smile. “Congratulations, Sixth Sister. To think you were able to contract with a divine beast.”

Ning Shu shifted back into her human form, noticing Yu Linglong’s gaze lingering on her. It was filled with desire, as well as some envy, frustration, and loathing.

The jealousy and frustration were clearly directed at Yu Liuli.

Yu Xiongfeng looked at Ning Shu, cupping his hands respectfully. “My respects.”

For a spiritual beast to cultivate into human form, it had to have cultivated for countless years and survived the heavenly tribulations.

Ning Shu quickly returned the gesture. “You’re too kind.”
