Chapter 112: Skill, Stats, And Setting Out Early
Rael finished the talk with Caedia, and thankfully, she wasn't that stupid, so after explaining everything to her, she actually listened, at least a little.
On a good note, it seemed like her sister, Victoria, had also been freed from Beatrice's control.
But I guess that's normal... I did literally steal her skill, and if I had to guess, it was likely one of her main skills, Rael pondered, walking through the palace hallways.
Frankly, he wasn't sure how the negotiations would proceed after Esmeralda regained consciousness.
After all, everything went well up until the part where he brought up Beatrice. And now, it was a total shitshow.
Guards were running around; most stared at him as though he was a criminal.
But Rael merely ignored those gazes as he strolled out of the palace and into some nearby inn.
It wasn't as grandiose as one would expect, so he simply walked up to the receptionist, purchased a single room for 500 Trell, and went inside.
He felt exhausted—mostly from the training, but also from the skill he stole.
After all, despite it not being a directly offensive skill, it was quite overpowered.

<New Stat Unlocked: Willpower>
<Willpower: Increases Mental Damage with a ratio of 1 Willpower: 4 Mental Damage>
<Willpower: Increases Mental Resistance with a ratio of 100,000 Willpower: 1% Mental Resistance>
<Mental Damage Has Been Combined With Spell Power!>
<Intelligence/Willpower to Spell Power Ratio: 1 Intelligence/Willpower: 4 Spell Power → 1 Intelligence/Willpower: 6 Spell Power>
Sadly, Mental Resistance didn't combine with his Spell Power or Intelligence, otherwise, it would've been great.
Nonetheless, that just meant he had to work a little harder.
Though it's still a powerful skill. Sadly, I can't use half of the fucking skills, but it's fine... Ancient-ranked skills are way too high for my level anyways, Rael thought and proceeded to relax a little.
After finishing his nap, he would go to battle, and he might not even come back alive.
Of course, as much as he wanted to finish the politics here, he highly doubted there was anyone capable of talking with him, except Caedia.
But of course, since they had a majority vote system, most of his requests would be thrown out the window.
Nonetheless, Rael decided to quickly take a glance at his status one last time.

Not enough... Rael frowned. Nowhere near enough.
But alas, the amount of money he had currently was equivalent to a handshake with a famous person.
Also known as absolutely fucking useless.
Immortality skills were off-limits, and the only real defensive skill I have is Void Cloak. Even that has only a 50% chance of making me see tomorrow though... Rael thought, and decided to jump out of bed.
He was tired a moment ago, but not anymore.
I'm heading out early... I don't want that piece of shit Beatrice to get a heads-up on me.
With that—and 500 Trell down the drain—he stepped out of the inn, summoned his car, and without informing anyone, sped out of the city.
The people barely paid attention to him. Still, it was a bit surprising to see them eating fish.
Considering the moon was a massive problem, he expected the fish to naturally be affected. But since every person was so eagerly digging in, he figured it was probably safe.
I'd try that, but I feel like I'd throw up on the spot. Rael chuckled and continued going forward.
Just as he was about to leave the city, a particular frowning figure appeared in front of him.
It was the Beast, and without even saying a word, it walked around the car and sat in the backseat.
A moment of silence ensued, which was broken by none other than the Beast.
"What have you done?"
