Chapter 116: Entering The Mind Realm
"Are you okay?" Beatrice asked, holding back a laugh. "Not only did you nearly bite your tongue, you also—"
Before she could finish speaking, Rael hit the Red String, sending a note right at her.
He maneuvered it to the best of his ability. However, she merely raised a single hand and flicked the note away.
-601,952,294! True Note! (x1 [Acid-Infused] Crystal Violin Blade)
That's all the damage I did...? Rael frowned. In the midst of his thoughts, Beatrice suddenly transformed into a humanoid form, ditching her spider lower half.
"I'll at least make it somewhat fair for you," Beatrice said with a giggle and narrowed her eyes. "Toying with prey before killing it is what I'm good at. And who knows? If I eat you, I might get my skill back. Wouldn't that be fun?"
"Mhm." Rael nodded at her and cast a few skills to piss her off.

Three storms formed right on top of Beatrice, but instead of being overwhelmed, she simply snapped her fingers.

Rael's ears bled, but he didn't give up there. Most of his skills were still ongoing, so for the time being, he was somewhat safe.
Therefore, he decided to do something he hadn't done in a while.
He gently grasped the crystal rapier and then dragged it through the Red String, forming vibrations which caused multiple fiery notes to fly out.

<Resonance: Max Stacks Reached!>
<The next basic attack will do 50% more damage!>
-2,621,002,421! True Note! (x4 [Acid-Infused] Crystal Violin Blade)
<Resonance: Max Stacks Reached!>
<The next basic attack will do 50% more damage!>
"Hahaha!" Beatrice let out a hearty laugh, and before he could send out the rest of the notes, she suddenly gazed straight into his eyes, making him lose control of all the notes heading for her.
<Warning!>
<Your mind is being invaded!>
<Threat: Very High>
<...>
<Resisted!>
<Skill: Mind Anchor +1,500,000 Experience>
"Oh? Now that's interesting," Beatrice remarked. "I might not have my previous skill, but this should've been more than enough... I suppose not."
Given how much she was dragging out this fight, Rael wasn't sure what to do.
He couldn't engage, as that would just get him killed, and attacking from a distance didn't work either.
But of course, he could always use Acid.
[MP -6,900,000 3,439,945/51,060,780 (x1 Acid Lash)]
The acid whip shot toward her, but instead of colliding with her and dousing her in acid, the whip was caught.
Beatrice literally gripped it with her hands, nullified the damage, and then attempted to yank him toward her.
He let go before that happened. However, he was in a really tight situation now.
Nonetheless, he swiftly purchased a few mana potions and drank them.

He was down to his last 14 million Trell, and at this rate, he was really not feeling it.
The moment he thought that, a surprising pop-up appeared before him.
<Monument: Gravefire Ritual - Inactive → Active>
<Total Monuments Lit: 10/10>
<All the Monuments are lit>
But that was not all.
<Beatrice, The Spider Monarch [Level 822] has been Threaded!>
<Decreasing Willpower by 2%/sec>
<Synaptic Hijack: Unavailable!>
Beatrice froze as a frown appeared on her face. "Hm... that's definitely an effect from my skill. Since I know how deadly it can be, I'll have to kill you now, no hard feelings."
Immediately, Beatrice vanished from sight.
Rael's brows furrowed as his one-second Foresight showed him a glimpse of what was about to happen.
An overhead strike that would decapitate him.
Rael swiftly turned his head, barely avoiding her incoming strike. The moment he did, he thrust his rapier at her.
But like clockwork, Beatrice caught it. Just as she was about to break it, Rael stored it inside his inventory and proceeded to sweep her legs.
She jumped up with a smile, and before his leg could fully cross over, she brought all her weight down onto it.
However, instead of crushing his leg, Beatrice's body went through him entirely.
<Void Cloak: Attack Dodged!>
"Wow! You never cease to amaze me, Rael Sutekh!" Beatrice grinned, her eyes showing obsession. "What if I made you mine?"
"No thanks, charlatan. I'm married," Rael replied sternly and backed away, summoning his Violin Blade again.
The moment he did, a certain idea sprung up inside his mind.
It seemed crazy—no way it was that convenient.
Therefore, like last time, Rael held the rapier firmly. However, instead of bringing it down onto either of his two strings, he waved it in the air, almost as if he was focusing on something.
And less than a second later, that little something turned into something much bigger than he expected.
<The Crystal Violin Blade is resonating with the skill: Neuroweb>
<Threaded Synapse: Exploited!>
<Beatrice is Confused for 5 seconds.>
She suddenly staggered, making his eyes widen.
Yet as he glanced down at his Violin Blade, prepared to strike her, something strange caught his eye.
A new string appeared in the very middle. It was completely white, almost glowing.
He inspected the Violin Blade, but there didn't appear to be any new pop-ups, almost like what he was seeing currently was nothing but an illusion.
However, when he tapped the white string, his vision went dark.
...Did I just fucking kill myself? Rael thought, slightly panicking.
But a moment later, his vision returned.
Now there was one very slight problem...
Is that me...? Rael frowned as he looked at the sight in front of him.
He was staring at himself. Rael Sutekh—tall, obviously handsome, and glaring right back at him.
Rael tried to move this strange body, and while he could, it felt stiff, almost like the body wasn't his.
And then, it finally clicked.
Rael glanced down at his hands, and he saw they were rather feminine.
...Transmigrated into a gir—
"What are you doing inside my body?" an annoyed voice rang out from the side, belonging to none other than Beatrice.
He turned toward the voice, but no one was there. However, once he closed his eyes and reopened them, it almost seemed like he entered a completely different world.
In front of him was a colorful garden, a small lake with a gazebo right in the middle. And beyond that, mountain peaks of all different colors stretched out into the horizon.
But that was not what had truly caught his attention.
Instead, it was the frowning Beatrice standing mere meters away from him.
And of course, the pair of pop-ups, which spelled bad news.
<Forceful Synaptic Hijack In Progress!>
<Target: Beatrice, The Spider Monarch is resisting!>
Rael gulped audibly as he met her eyes.
Well shit.
