Reality Quest: The Monarch(Rewritten)

Chapter 4: Reincarnation

[Successful Reincarnation!]

[New Identity Generated!]

[Your name is Min Jaehyun.]

[System has been initiated!]

The absolute darkness that enveloped his consciousness shattered like glass, revealing a sudden and intense burst of light. Distant, muffled sounds echoed in his mind, as if he were emerging from the depths of an ocean.

Then, the screens appeared.

Purple lights shimmered in his field of vision, floating as if they were living entities, pulsing faintly, each carrying information imprinted directly onto his newly reborn soul.

His body... felt nothing.

He was still adjusting, still processing the new existence that had been granted to him. But the digital data in his vision was clear, concrete, real.

He had a name now.

Min Jaehyun, or Jaehyun.

It didn't matter who he had been before. This was who he was now.

[Warning! The Three Blessings can be applied. Do you wish to install them now? Y/N]

The screen vibrated slightly, as if waiting for his response.

Jaehyun felt a chill run down his spine—not from fear, but from a strange sense of anticipation.

He knew what these blessings meant.

He knew the price of power.

But hesitation was never an option.

"Yes."

The answer required no words. It was sent directly from his mind—instantaneous, absolute.

And then, everything changed.

The purple screen shone with a blinding white flash, as if a new sun had been born before his eyes.

The system seemed to have understood his response, and for a brief moment, time itself felt frozen.

Then, the final message appeared:

[Blessings will be installed. You will feel A LOT of pain. Hold on tight!]

Before Jaehyun could even process those words, hell began.

It was as if his very blood was set ablaze.

His body, which had felt nonexistent until now, took form only to be consumed by absolute, overwhelming, inhuman pain.

His muscles contracted as if they were being torn apart and rebuilt at the same time.

His bones cracked, vibrating like steel cables on the verge of snapping.

The sensation was of being broken and reconstructed infinitely, as if every cell were combusting, every nerve exposed to an electric storm.

It was far more than just pain.

It was something primal, brutal, unbearable.

His newly created body struggled to assimilate the changes.

The Yamazaki Blood was awakening, surging through his veins like living magma. Every drop coursing through his system carried a demonic roar, an uncontrollable will for destruction and absolute power.

His Complete System was integrating, each new function embedded directly into his mind like forced memories he had never lived.

The Copy Technique and Perfect Body manifested, rewriting the very rules of his own existence, shaping his muscles, his structure, his instincts.

Time lost all meaning.

It could have been a second. It could have been an eternity.

When the pain finally began to subside, he realized he was no longer the same.

His body pulsed with energy.

His senses were amplified, sharpened, refined to an abnormal level.

He could feel his latent strength, but he also sensed the invisible barriers preventing him from fully unleashing it.

It was the Curse of Absolute Barriers.

It was proof that the power he had received would not be accessed easily.

He would have to fight for it to claim it.

Jaehyun's breathing grew heavy.

His hands trembled slightly—not out of fear, but due to the absurd amount of energy coursing through him.

He was still getting used to it all.

His mind sank into sleep after everything was over. The pain had caused his collapse and exhaustion, pulling him into a deep slumber where nothing could disturb him.

...

[System fully operational.]

The translucent notification windows began to fade, disappearing one by one like particles of light dissolving into the air. Jaehyun felt his mind becoming clearer, as if something inside him had been fully integrated into his existence. He took a deep breath, feeling a warm flow coursing through his body, as if a new energy was manifesting in every cell.

His eyes opened slowly, adjusting to the darkness of the room. The faint moonlight filtered through the slightly parted curtains, casting soft shadows across the space. He blinked a few times before sitting up in bed, the sheets slipping down his well-defined torso. Even without exerting himself, his muscles were tense, as if his body were ready to engage in combat at any moment.

Still processing the information he had just received, Jaehyun stood up. His feet touched the cold floor, sending a small shiver through his body. He walked over to the mirror beside the dresser and stopped in front of his own reflection.

The image he saw was both familiar and different. His physique looked more solid, more refined. His already well-developed muscles now had an even sharper definition, as if sculpted by the very essence of combat. His broad shoulders and imposing posture carried a presence that could intimidate anyone who dared to challenge him.

His black hair was slightly disheveled, but that only enhanced his fierce appearance. The strands fell naturally, framing his sharp and striking features. His silver eyes, intense and piercing, reflected a different kind of glow—a gaze that seemed to see beyond what anyone else could perceive.

He raised one hand, slowly closing his fingers into a fist. The strength he felt was different. It was absolute. Not just in a physical sense, but on a deeper level, as if every part of him had been enhanced for the sole purpose of fighting and winning.

His lips curved into a slight smile.

"So... this is what it means to be a Perfect Fighting Machine?"

His heart beat steadily, strongly, filled with energy and power.

Jaehyun exhaled a satisfied sigh, his smile widening as he looked at the information on the screen that had just appeared before his eyes. The words shone intensely, as if reflecting the depth of his satisfaction. His gaze first locked onto the ability Perfect Body, but soon, it shifted to the most intriguing one.

[SKILLS]

- Copy Technique [Exclusive]

- Perfect Body [Exclusive/Passive]

The name "Copy Technique" pulsed with a unique energy. Jaehyun had never felt so in sync with the System. He was already familiar with the concept of power and skill, but this was different. The system itself seemed to be handing him the keys to absolute power. The ability to copy anyone's movements, replicating them with perfection, was something that could determine the outcome of any battle. He knew that, in the right hands, this would make him an unstoppable force.

In fact, he had always had great respect for Big Daniel from Lookism, known as one of the most powerful figures in the PTJverse. To Jaehyun, Big Daniel was not just a symbol of raw strength but of unparalleled potential. The ability to adapt and learn during fights, keeping up with the speed of battle and utilizing his opponents' movements, was something he saw as essential to reaching the top. And now, with the Copy Technique, he had exactly that.

He clicked on the skill, and the description appeared immediately, exploding in his mind with absolute clarity.

[Copy Technique]

The ability to copy allows its user to perfectly replicate, in a 1:1 manner, any movement they have observed. This makes those who possess this technique extremely dangerous, as it enables constant improvement during combat, allowing them to grow stronger while facing powerful opponents.

Jaehyun felt the adrenaline coursing through his veins. The description was simple, but the implications of its words were devastating. The ability to observe and copy movements was one of the most lethal skills he could wish for. He imagined how easily he could dominate any opponent, whether in physical or psychological combat, simply by watching and replicating what they did.

It was like a mirror—not just reflecting what it saw, but becoming an extension of it, an enhanced version of the original action. The potential for growth with this ability was limitless.

"Yes, this is definitely what I need," Jaehyun thought, a pleased expression on his face.

He imagined the endless possibilities this ability could offer. Every fight, every challenge, would be an opportunity for him to become stronger—not just against his enemies, but against himself. With every movement he observed, he would learn, improve, and adapt, becoming a stronger version of himself—unstoppable, indomitable.

But before he could lose himself in further thoughts, he turned his attention to another ability—Perfect Body—which already stood out as a passive skill, something that naturally complemented the Copy Technique.

Jaehyun furrowed his brows as he carefully examined the description of the Perfect Body ability. Although he already knew that this ability elevated his body beyond human limits, the words now felt even more impactful. Each line seemed more like a promise than an explanation, and the weight of it was profound.

[Perfect Body]

An absolute body, fully designed for combat. There are no flaws in this body; it is a body with superhuman potential. This body allows the use of great techniques that would normally require intense training. Though not commonly known, the Perfect Body can surpass its peak—by confronting oneself and breaking through barriers, one can reach the State of Perfection.

Effects: +100 in Attack Power, Speed, Endurance, and Technique.

Unparalleled Beauty: Women love and admire your beauty, increasing the chances of them falling for you.

???

Beauty wasn't something Jaehyun cared much about, but he acknowledged that with this ability, his appearance would turn any place he stepped into into a true showcase. However, what truly intrigued him were the question marks at the end. What else could be hidden? The feeling that something was missing made his brain work at full speed.

"Mysteries come along with the System? How interesting." Jaehyun murmured to himself, running a hand over his face, trying to understand why the information wasn't complete. It was as if the System was holding something back for him—something that would only be revealed at the right moment.

He felt a faint buzzing in his mind, as if the System was waiting for his command to unlock more information, but Jaehyun knew it wasn't the right time to force the answers. Something inside him told him that, just as he could perfect his abilities, the same applied to the Perfect Body. He would have to give his body time to adapt and reach its true potential.

What else could this ability be hiding? Maybe something related to the limits of what he could achieve, or something even more fascinating—perhaps a secret skill, a hidden power that could only be activated under special conditions. The idea that the System was keeping something from him, waiting to be discovered, only fueled his curiosity further.

Jaehyun looked at his reflection once more, his eyes gleaming with determination to explore everything the System had to offer. He already had a solid foundation of power, but he knew there was still much more ahead. And with each passing moment, he felt closer to uncovering what lay beyond the unknown.

'If mystery is what awaits me, I'm ready to find out what else the System has to reveal,' he thought with a confident smile.

After putting on his school uniform, Jaehyun glanced at himself in the mirror for a brief moment. The crisp white shirt fit his physique perfectly, the red tie hung slightly as he adjusted it with a precise movement. The black trousers were well-tailored, matching the polished dress shoes that gleamed with a subtle shine. Everything suggested that he was just another ordinary high school student. But behind that façade, something much greater was in motion.

Shinan High. His high school. He was in his second year, but that simple fact carried an uncomfortable weight. His expression hardened automatically at the thought of the school routine. Returning to that place was unpleasant, almost a burden. He knew all too well the brutal hierarchy among students, the cliques, the injustices, and, above all, the silent hell that unfolded in the shadows of the school. But he had no choice. If he wanted to insert himself into the plot, he needed to be there.

After all, the story of Reality Quest was about to begin.

This wasn't a guess or a hunch. He knew it for certain. The information was engraved in his mind, implanted by Damian Magnus at the moment of his reincarnation. Jaehyun hadn't awakened in this world on a random day—he had been reborn precisely when everything was about to unfold. The first piece of the game was about to move, and he needed to be on the board from the very beginning.

As he walked through the streets toward school, Jaehyun kept his eyes fixed on two videos simultaneously, using headphones to absorb as much information as possible. One video displayed demonstrations of various martial arts: karate, taekwondo, boxing, muay thai, jiu-jitsu, judo—each strike, each movement captured with absolute focus. The other video, in contrast, showed drawing techniques—sketches being refined, lines taking shape, shadows creating depth.

This wasn't just a random pastime. Jaehyun was testing a theory.

He believed that his ability, [Copy Technique], was not limited to just fighting techniques. If he could replicate any movement, then any skill based on the human body could be copied and used as a weapon. The hand movements of an experienced artist, the surgical precision of a marksman, the balance and grace of a dancer—all of these could be assimilated.

'Big Daniel was an idiot...'

That thought echoed in his mind. Although Big Daniel was extremely strong, he never made full use of the Copy Technique. He merely copied movements, limiting himself to the first stage of the ability. But Jaehyun saw far beyond that. He perceived the full potential this technique could offer.

The first stage was simple movement replication. That was what Big Daniel did: observe and repeat. But that was merely the surface of the true power of the ability.

The second stage was the absorption of the style as a whole. If he copied the basic movements of a martial art, eventually, the entire style would be assimilated and learned. This turned copying into something deeper, allowing him to adopt any technique as if it were his own.

The third stage required training, but Jaehyun had an overwhelming advantage. With his [Perfect Body], he could reach this level much faster than any ordinary person. The third stage represented mastery over the chosen martial art, elevating him to a level that few would ever reach in a lifetime.

But the true pinnacle lay in the fourth and final stage: No Retreat.

This concept was the ultimate limit of martial arts. When someone completely mastered all the basic and advanced techniques of a style, that knowledge fused with their very body, allowing for absolutely perfect execution. Every strike, every defense, every dodge—everything was performed without wasted movement, without hesitation, without flaws.

Jaehyun clenched his fists slightly, feeling a faint tremor of excitement.

Reaching No Retreat meant that he could concentrate all his energy into a single point, maximizing the damage and efficiency of every blow. It was the final stage of a technique's evolution, where a single punch could carry the full weight of an entire martial art.

He smiled.

This world had no idea what kind of monster had just arrived in it.

...

As soon as Jaehyun crossed the classroom door, he closed the videos he had been watching and put his phone in his pocket. His eyes quickly scanned the room, assessing familiar faces and the groups that had formed. He wasn't interested in socializing at the moment—his focus was on testing his theory even further.

He took a notebook and a pencil out of his backpack, leaning slightly over the desk. With calm movements, he pressed the graphite against the paper, drawing with precision. It wasn't just any random sketch—he was replicating the exact strokes he had seen in the artist's video. His eyes followed the motion of his own hand, noting the fluidity, firmness, and accuracy in the details.

When he finished, he lifted the page to evaluate his work.

It was identical to the drawing from the video.

A smile appeared on his lips. It worked.

But he didn't stop there. Turning the page, he continued drawing. This time, he didn't limit himself to an exact copy. His body and mind began to refine the process instinctively.

The second drawing turned out even better than the first.

By the third, the strokes had gained an absurd level of refinement, almost realistic.

On the fourth, Jaehyun decided to test his limits. He drew a video game character, a face that was once just a set of stylized lines. But when he finished… what was on the paper looked like a photograph.

The eyes had depth, the skin had texture, and the details of the lighting were perfect.

He lightly touched the paper, almost laughing in satisfaction. The theory was correct.

His [Copy Technique] truly wasn't limited to combat—any movement that relied on body mechanics could be replicated and even improved.

But his celebration was abruptly interrupted.

BAM!

A heavy hand slammed against his desk.

Jaehyun slowly looked up, his sharp eyes going directly to the person who dared to interrupt him.

In front of him stood a young man with white hair, a bandage on the side of his face, and piercings on his eyebrows, staring at him with an arrogant expression. Before the other could even speak, a subtle notification appeared in his vision.

[Chulwoo Min]

"Hey!" Chulwoo repeated, slapping his hand on Jaehyun's notebook as if trying to get his attention.

Jaehyun, still calm, processed the information. So the system identified anyone he interacted with? An interesting question… but one that could wait.

Chulwoo scowled and leaned in closer, bringing his face near Jaehyun's.

"I'm talking to you."

That was his mistake.

The hot, unpleasant breath hit Jaehyun up close, making him narrow his eyes slightly, irritation rising immediately.

SLAP!

Without hesitation, Jaehyun raised his hand and delivered a strong slap to Chulwoo's face, the sound echoing through the room.

The bully's cheek turned red instantly.

Before Chulwoo could react, Jaehyun grabbed his wrist and slammed his head firmly against the table.

BAM!

"AARGH!" Chulwoo groaned, his face colliding with the wooden surface. He tried to break free, but he couldn't move.

Jaehyun bent his arm at a dangerous angle, applying just enough force to make one thing clear: if Chulwoo tried to escape with brute force, his bone would snap.

Chulwoo finally realized the situation. Sweat began to drip down his forehead as he felt the weight of Jaehyun's hand.

It was heavy. Firm. Strong.

His eyes widened as he noticed something he hadn't before.

Jaehyun was huge.

He had to be between 1.80 and 1.90 meters tall, his physique muscular and solid—something no school uniform could hide. Every part of him radiated strength.

Chulwoo realized the mistake he had made.

He had provoked someone he couldn't handle.

And for the first time, a chill ran down his spine.

As soon as the translucent blue screen appeared before his eyes, Jaehyun paused for a moment to analyze it.

[Mission: You Are Nobody.]

Conditions: Put Chulwoo in his place.

Reward: +100 Stat Points.

He barely held back a smile. An unexpected mission? And with such a generous reward? It was almost ridiculous.

Jaehyun turned his attention to Chulwoo, still pinned against the table, struggling uselessly. The bully tried to use his strength to break free, his face turning redder with effort. But it was pointless.

He was already defeated before even fighting.

Jaehyun leaned in a little closer and whispered with an icy calm:

"Listen here… I'm not one of the brats you mess with. If you ever try to screw with me again…"

He tightened his grip on Chulwoo's arm a bit more, drawing a pained grunt from the bully.

"I'll use your face as a mop to clean up your own vomit. Got it, dick breath?"

Chulwoo's face turned even redder—not just from the grip, but from the humiliation. His eyes were wide open, sweat dripping down his forehead as his body trembled. He didn't want to admit it, but he was scared.

He tried to muster some miraculous strength to get out of that situation. He was a bully, he had been in fights before… But this…

This was different.

Before he could think of anything else, Jaehyun suddenly let him go.

Only to throw him away.

CRASH!

Chulwoo flew across the room and crashed brutally against the cabinets at the back. The impact was strong enough to make the objects inside tremble. He collapsed onto the floor, clutching his shoulder and groaning in pain.

The room fell into absolute silence.

All the students watched the scene with wide eyes, completely paralyzed. No one had ever treated Chulwoo like that before.

Jaehyun, however, didn't care in the slightest. He grabbed his notebook, tore out the drawing page, and put everything back into his backpack. As if nothing had happened.

Without even looking at Chulwoo, he gave his final order:

"Get lost, you trash."

Chulwoo hesitated, gritting his teeth in shame. But he knew he couldn't stay there. He had been crushed. And worst of all… in front of everyone.

With as much dignity as he had left, he struggled to his feet and limped out of the room, not daring to look back.

As soon as the door slammed shut, a new screen appeared before Jaehyun.

[You have completed the mission.]

+100 Stat Points acquired.

Jaehyun smiled.

If all missions were like this, leveling up would be too easy.

Jaehyun blinked for a moment, analyzing the boy in front of him. Ha Dowan.

The protagonist of Reality Quest.

Before his awakening, before becoming someone feared… he was still just an ordinary boy.

Short stature, a somewhat naive face, bowl-cut hair that made him look defenseless. But Jaehyun knew who he really was.

What surprised him, however, was the direct question.

"Who are you?"

Dowan stared at him with a mix of curiosity and caution. After all, Jaehyun had just massacred Chulwoo Min in front of everyone.

Jaehyun didn't answer immediately. He didn't need to.

He simply looked at Dowan, assessing him. This was the boy who would soon become a true monster.

But now…

Now, he was just an ordinary student, lacking confidence and trapped in a reality where he was constantly tormented by bullies.

Jaehyun tilted his head slightly and, with an almost lazy smile, replied:

"Nobody."

Dowan frowned, clearly dissatisfied with that answer.

But before he could insist, Jaehyun put away his notebook, leaned back in his chair, and looked away, completely ignoring the protagonist.

He knew that sooner or later, they would meet again. After all, the game was only just beginning.
