Chapter 478: Chapter 478: The Hero Domain and Dragon Court
"The Heroic Spirit King is invincible!"
"All hail our king!"
The heroic spirits cheered for Garon's triumphant return.
These heroic spirits had never won against the God of Strength and Courage in a contest of strength, even when he suppressed his divine power. Therefore, seeing their Heroic Spirit King achieve victory made them particularly excited.
Next, as agreed, the God of Strength and Courage withdrew from the Heroic Spirit Hall and unlocked the barriers of his divine kingdom's extradimensional space.
After packing up his treasures, the God of Strength and Courage, with a heavy heart, took his apostles and left his divine kingdom. He took a final longing look at the heroic spirits before sighing.
"Lord Garon, please treat the heroic spirits here well."
"The Heroic Spirit Hall and my divine kingdom now belong to you."
The God of Strength and Courage said, his face clearly showing his pain and reluctance.
For any god, their divine kingdom is their greatest asset.
Abandoning it is a choice made only when there is no other option.
The God of Strength and Courage did not have the ability to relocate his divine kingdom. Since it had overlapped with the Heroic Spirit Hall, when Garon insisted on taking the Heroic Spirit Hall and won the contest of strength, the God of Strength and Courage was destined to give up his divine kingdom.
"Lord Kord, where will you go after leaving the Hero Domain?"
In communicating with Kord, Garon maintained the etiquette and respect between gods, despite his victory. He did not press his advantage and showed Kord due respect.
Kord did not conceal his plans.
He thought briefly and said, "Before settling in the Hero Domain, I considered Mount Celestia. Now that I must leave here, I will head to Mount Celestia."
After speaking, Kord was curious and asked, "Lord Garon, Lord Bahamut, are you two leaving Mount Celestia?"
The two Dragon Gods, leading their apostles and making a large-scale migration to the Hero Domain, did not hide their actions, prompting Kord to speculate.
"Yes."
"May I ask why you are leaving Mount Celestia? It is a good place."
The Metal Dragon God responded succinctly, "Once you reach Mount Celestia and talk to the gods there, you'll understand."
Kord nodded, stopped asking questions, took one last look at the Heroic Spirit Hall, and finally left with his apostles, disappearing from the Sky Garden.
Garon and the Metal Dragon God had just left Mount Celestia and taken over Kord's divine kingdom.
Kord was now heading to Mount Celestia.
However, for Mount Celestia, even adding the God of Strength and Courage could not compensate for the loss of two Dragon Gods.
Immediately, the Metal Dragon God resumed shaping the framework of his divine kingdom.
Garon first headed to the towering Heroic Spirit Hall.
In the first layer of the Hero Domain, the Sky Garden, the scenery was not much different from an average prime material world. Various terrains could be found, but without exception, all were grand and majestic.
Mountains reached at least a thousand meters high, towering into the clouds.
The Heroic Spirit Hall was located at the peak of a mountain called Heroic Mountain, the tallest in the Sky Garden. From its summit, one had to look through layers of ever-changing clouds to see the mountain's midsection and base below.
To Garon, the scale of the Heroic Spirit Hall wasn't large.
Given Garon's massive size, unless the palace was specially made for dragons, other buildings seemed like toy blocks to him.
Garon folded his wings, reduced his size, and became a cute little silver dragon with tender horns. He fluttered his wings and flew towards the Heroic Spirit Hall.
Around the hall stood silent heroic spirit guards, exuding at least demigod-level auras.
Facing the Heroic Spirit King's arrival, these guards, who seemed like long-untouched statues, knelt in greeting, stirring up clouds of dust. At Garon's command, they resumed their silent watch over the Heroic Spirit Hall.
The little dragon passed through layers of steps and entered the hall's interior.
"The core of the entire Hero Domain is here."
Garon's eyes glowed faintly as he surveyed the hall.
The floor, ceiling, walls, and columns were made of an unknown material that looked like stone with a jade-like luster, pleasing to the eye. Engraved on them were murals praising great heroes and famous heroic spirits.
Generals who defended their homeland and lived and died with their soldiers.
Kings who worked tirelessly to lead their kingdoms to glory.
Rising from obscurity, overthrowing oppressive classes, and climbing to the top of the world.
Warriors who fought against the Abyss, battling demons to the death.
These scenes were numerous.
When Garon looked at them, they projected into his vision like a movie, endless and unceasing.
Upon closer inspection, one could even see the magnificent lives of many heroic spirits. Among them was Alphax, the Fire Emperor, who besieged the Flame Lord, forged the Flame Tower as a national treasure, and led the fire magic tradition to flourish, only to see the empire's fall due to the conflict between fire and wind.
However, no matter who these heroic spirits were in life, after death, their memories and emotions were erased, turning them into heroic spirits of the Hero Domain.
Without the power to remain eternal, heroes were just fish in the river to the gods.
Some might leap out and catch the gods' attention momentarily, but ultimately, they would fall back into the river, drift with the current, sink to the bottom, and be buried in silt.
After observing many heroic spirits' extraordinary lives as if watching a movie, Garon shifted his focus to the Heroic Spirit Hall itself.
With eyes that could discern rules and see the essence of all things, he saw the chains of rules in the Hero Domain.
These rule chains were everywhere, crisscrossing, appearing in Garon's vision as golden chains inscribed with mysterious and obscure runes pointing to the world's essence.
Magic was the surface reflection of these rule chains.
Divine authority was the direct control of these rule chains.
If the multiverse were likened to a supercomputer, the rule chains would be the programs. Ordinary spellcasters interpreted the programs and executed allowed actions within them, while gods, like programmers with certain privileges, could modify the programs at will.
Pseudo-divine powers were special existences that the programs could hardly restrain or were manifestations of the programs themselves.
Garon looked around and found that the rule chains from all directions in the Hero Domain ultimately converged at the Heroic Spirit Hall, focusing on the throne within.
Following the rule chains with his gaze, Garon's attention also centered on the Heroic Spirit Throne.
The little dragon flapped his wings, the thorny crown on his head shrinking with his body. He approached the Heroic Spirit Throne, folded his wings, adjusted his posture, and sat on it.
In an instant, Garon's eyes glazed over.
The entire Hero Domain.
Sky Garden, Fire Realm, Dwarf World.
Scenes from these three layers unfolded in Garon's vision like three-dimensional models, unobstructed, viewed from a god's perspective, able to be traversed at will.
Only the divine kingdom's extradimensional spaces were hard to see through.
However, Garon felt that if he exerted some effort, he could see through the divine kingdom barriers, though it would likely alert the gods.
Additionally, Garon could directly influence the Hero Domain according to his will.
In the Fire Realm, devastated by the gods' war, with collapsing mountains and shattered land.
Garon focused on the ruins of collapsed mountains and willed them to reform.
The remaining creatures in the Fire Realm were amazed as the ground lifted like a tablecloth being pulled up, soil and rocks accumulating rapidly to form a new towering mountain.
This was just the beginning.
The ground moved like waves, deep cracks being filled, mountains rising anew, and mountain ranges reviving. The torn sky mended, and lingering dangerous divine power was dispelled from the surface.
"Interesting, it doesn't consume my power, just places a mental burden."
Garon mused as he restored the Fire Realm.
Sitting on the Heroic Spirit Throne, with the Hero's Crown on his head, Garon felt like an omnipotent creator, freely painting on the canvas called the Hero Domain.
This was the power that the God of Strength and Courage and the Fire Giant God coveted most, the authority of the Heroic Spirit King.
Now, it belonged to Garon.
Simultaneously, the information from the rule chains unfolded before Garon, giving him a deeper understanding of the Hero Domain, such as how to expand this outer plane and further comprehend his rights as the Heroic Spirit King.
Restoring the Fire Realm was a necessary task for Garon.
However, the Fire Realm was vast. Garon estimated it would take years of continuous work to erase the scars of the gods' war and rejuvenate the Fire Realm.
Pausing his restoration efforts, Garon exhaled deeply.
"Manifest, a heroic spirit king avatar with pseudo-divine power, bearing my will!"
Silence.
Nothing happened.
Garon tapped the Hero's Crown on his head but wasn't disappointed. He knew the Hero Domain's consciousness hadn't fully accepted him yet, with one last resistant area preventing his will from fully imprinting.
"So, Hero Domain, what will it take for you to stop resisting and fully recognize my will?"
Garon spoke aloud.
His voice echoed in the hall.
He received a vague response from the Hero Domain's consciousness.
Garon translated the message: "Fully restore the Fire Realm, and I will recognize you as the Heroic Spirit King."
"The damage to the Fire Realm is severe
."
"It will take at least a century to fully restore it."
The little dragon on the throne swished his tail, pondering.
Destruction was far easier than restoration.
The gods' war in the Fire Realm nearly shattered it. The damage couldn't be repaired overnight.
Meanwhile, Garon analyzed the information from the rule chains for feasible solutions.
Soon, he found a suitable method that wouldn't waste much of his time.
"Integrate other world layers into the Hero Domain, merging with the Fire Realm, or as a new fourth layer, restoring the Hero Domain's overall strength while gradually repairing the Fire Realm."
This was feasible.
Garon knew that the Lord of Shadow had once merged an entire prime material world into the Abyss to strengthen his Abyssal layer.
"The Dragon Court has developed well, with numerous dragons enhancing and expanding it with spells, and under the Dragon Gods' protection, it can be integrated into the Hero Domain as a fourth layer."
"Coincidentally, some members find the Dragon Court's scenery monotonous."
"In the diverse Hero Domain, Dragon Court members can find suitable territories in other layers."
"Additionally, the Dragon Court's influence can attract more dragons to settle in the Hero Domain. Even if they don't stay permanently, they might leave a lair as a retreat."
"And the battle-loving heroic spirits can temper the warlike tendencies in dragon blood."
A preliminary plan formed in Garon's mind.
Simultaneously, the Hero Domain's consciousness indicated that if Garon could add another layer to the Hero Domain, it would lift the final resistance, allowing Garon to fully imprint his will on the Hero's Crown and become the true proxy of the Hero Domain.
Anything that could strengthen the Hero Domain was hard for its consciousness to refuse.
This was more beneficial than merely restoring the Fire Realm.
Garon was willing to do this because he had decided to develop the Hero Domain into a plane-level divine kingdom, his ultimate stronghold.
As for the Hero Domain's consciousness, it was still weak, operating on instinct, even needing the Hero's Crown to mobilize the Hero Domain's energy. If it grew and developed ill intentions, Garon could only unite with other Dragon Gods to eliminate it.
Garon was reluctant to take such drastic measures unless absolutely necessary.
A plane without consciousness was like a stagnant pool, unworthy of comparison with other outer planes.
Though a new consciousness might eventually arise over eons, the exact time was uncertain.
"To move the Dragon Court into the Hero Domain, I can't do it alone."
The Dragon Court was now a significant plane. Though not as renowned as other outer planes, it was substantial. Relocating the Dragon Court was no small task.
