Chapter 44: Chapter 44: "Zoro’s Blade – The Weight of Victory!"
Luffy grinned, his hands resting on his straw hat. "Zoro's got this. He doesn't need any help from me."
Vivi, still catching her breath from Usopp's fight, glanced nervously at the duel. "But Miss Valentine's Devil Fruit power is dangerous. If she lands even one hit—"
Nami cut her off with a smirk. "Relax, Vivi. Zoro's not the kind of guy who loses to someone like her. Besides, he's got his own way of dealing with tricky opponents."
Usopp, still basking in the glow of his victory, puffed out his chest. "Yeah! And if Zoro needs backup, he's got the great Captain Usopp to rely on!"
Luffy laughed, patting Usopp on the back. "You just focus on catching your breath, Usopp. Zoro's got this under control."
Meanwhile, Zoro parried another strike from Miss Valentine's parasol, his blades moving with precision. Miss Valentine sneered, floating above him with her Kilo-Kilo Fruit ability. "You're persistent, aren't you? But you can't keep up with me forever!"
Zoro smirked, adjusting the bandana around his head. "Persistent? Nah. I'm just getting warmed up."
With a swift motion, Zoro launched a counterattack, his blades slicing through the air with incredible speed. Miss Valentine barely managed to dodge, her eyes widening in surprise. "What the—? How are you so fast?!"
Zoro didn't respond, his focus entirely on the fight. He could feel the rhythm of the battle, the ebb and flow of their movements. Miss Valentine's attacks were predictable, and her reliance on her Devil Fruit power left her vulnerable. All he needed was one opening.
Miss Valentine, growing frustrated, decided to escalate the fight. She floated higher into the air, her parasol spinning as she activated her Kilo-Kilo Fruit ability. "Let's see how you handle this! Ten Thousand Kilo Press!"
Her body suddenly became impossibly heavy, and she dropped like a meteor toward Zoro. The ground beneath him cracked under the pressure, but Zoro stood his ground, his muscles straining as he braced himself.
"Is that all you've got?" Zoro growled, his voice steady despite the immense weight bearing down on him. With a roar, he pushed back, his swords gleaming as he channeled his strength into a single, devastating strike.
"**Santoryu: Tatsumaki!**"
A whirlwind of slashes erupted from Zoro's blades, slicing through the air with such force that it disrupted Miss Valentine's descent. The shockwave sent her parasol flying, and she tumbled to the ground, her Devil Fruit power momentarily nullified.
"W-what?!" Miss Valentine stammered, scrambling to her feet. "How did you—?"
Zoro didn't give her time to recover. In a flash, he closed the distance between them, his swords poised for the final strike. "You rely too much on your Devil Fruit. Without it, you're nothing."
Miss Valentine's eyes widened in panic as she raised her parasol to defend herself. But Zoro's blades moved faster than she could react. With a single, precise slash, he cleaved her parasol in two, the force of the strike sending her sprawling to the ground.
"Game over," Zoro said, sheathing his swords as Miss Valentine lay defeated.
From the sidelines, the Straw Hats cheered. Usopp pumped his fist in the air. "That's our swordsman! Never doubted him for a second!"
Nami rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. "Of course he won. He's Zoro, after all."
Vivi let out a sigh of relief, her faith in the crew growing stronger with each victory. "You're all amazing... I can't believe how strong you are."
Luffy, still grinning, turned to the group. "Alright, everyone. Let's keep moving. We've got a kingdom to save."
As the Straw Hats regrouped and continued their journey, Zoro fell into step beside Luffy. "Took you long enough to finish your fight," Luffy teased.
Zoro smirked. "I was just giving Usopp some time to shine. Didn't want to steal his thunder."
Usopp, overhearing the comment, puffed out his chest again. "See? Even Zoro acknowledges my greatness!"
The crew laughed, their bond stronger than ever as they pressed forward. With each battle won, they grew closer to their goal, their resolve unshakable. Together, they would face whatever challenges lay ahead, united by their shared dream and unbreakable spirit.
