Reborn as Luffy The Pirate King's Return

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: The Duel Begins

The Marine courtyard erupted into chaos as Captain Morgan's men surrounded us. The clanking of swords and the shouts of orders filled the air, but I kept my focus on Zoro. He remained tied to the post, his sharp eyes watching every move I made.

"Luffy, we need to get out of here!" Koby whispered urgently, but I shook my head.

"Not yet," I said, stretching my arm back. "I promised to free Zoro, and I keep my promises."

With a swift motion, I launched my arm forward, smashing through the ranks of Marines like a battering ram. They flew back, some colliding with the walls, others dropping their weapons in shock. Captain Morgan, a towering figure with a metal jaw and axe for a hand, finally emerged from the headquarters.

"Who dares defy the Marines?!" he bellowed.

I stood my ground, smiling. "I'm Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm here to free Zoro!"

Morgan's eyes narrowed. "You think you can challenge me, boy? You're nothing but a reckless fool."

Zoro, tied to the post, suddenly spoke up. "Luffy... if you get me out of here, I'll join your crew. But don't think for a second that I'll go easy on you when we fight."

I grinned. "Deal."

Morgan charged, swinging his massive axe arm. I remained still, focusing my energy. As he lunged, I unleashed my Haki, a powerful burst of invisible force radiating from me. Morgan's weapon shattered on impact, and he collapsed to the ground, unconscious from the overwhelming pressure.

Zoro's eyes widened in shock. "What... what was that power?"

I simply smiled, untying him from the post. "It's called Haki. You'll see more of it soon."

As the remaining Marines fled, we made our way to the harbor. The wind filled our sails as we left Shells Town behind, the first step on our journey toward the Grand Line.

"Next stop... Orange Town!" I declared, my heart pounding with excitement. Zoro nodded, his swords now strapped to his waist, ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
