Reborn as the Doomsday Tycoon: My Zombie Apocalypse Harem

Chapter 30: Chapter 30: Lin Shishi

Xiao Yang and Lu You froze. Seriously? We just ran into someone they know?

Lin Shishi exclaimed joyfully, "I'm so happy to see you, Mu Wanqing!"

Mu Wanqing rushed forward and hugged her. "Lin Shishi! You're alive—this is amazing!"

The thick layers of Mu Wanqing's winter coat and Lin Shishi's quilt made their embrace awkwardly stiff, leaving Xiao Yang stifling a laugh.

"Wanqing, who is this?" Xiao Yang asked curiously.

Mu Wanqing released Lin Shishi and turned to him. "Let me introduce you! This is my college roommate and close friend, Lin Shishi."

Both Xiao Yang and Lu You greeted her warmly.

"Hello, Miss Shishi!" Lu You said with a smile.

"Miss Lin, thank you for helping us yesterday," Xiao Yang added cheerfully.

Lin Shishi glanced at the two, then asked Mu Wanqing, "And these are…?"

"Right! Let me explain," Mu Wanqing said, blushing slightly. "This is Xiao Yang… my boyfriend."

Lin Shishi's eyes widened as she scrutinized Xiao Yang. "Wait—when did you get a boyfriend? How come I didn't know?"

Mu Wanqing awkwardly waved a hand. "It's… recent. I'll tell you later." She quickly changed the subject, pulling Lu You closer. "This is Lu You. We call her Sister You. She owns Seaview Restaurant—remember?"

Lin Shishi gasped, recognition dawning. "No wonder you looked familiar! Sister You, I loved your cooking!"

Lu You grinned and patted her shoulder. "Since you're Wanqing's friend, just call me Sister You."

Lin Shishi nodded obediently. "Of course, Sister You!"

Xiao Yang stepped forward. "Miss Lin, whatever you need, just ask. We'll make it happen."

Lin Shishi hesitated, her voice trembling. "I… I shouldn't ask for anything after just helping, but… I haven't eaten in days. Could you spare some bread or instant noodles? Anything."

Tears welled in her eyes as the trio exchanged stunned looks. This was her biggest request?

Misinterpreting their silence, Lin Shishi backtracked. "I know supplies are scarce. If it's too much—"

"Instant noodles?!" Xiao Yang cut her off, heart aching. "Let's get you real food. Our place has plenty—eat until you're stuffed!"

Lin Shishi gaped. "You have… enough?"

"More than enough!" Mu Wanqing tugged her forward. "Come on!"

As they passed the dead middle-aged zombie Xiao Yang had slain, Lin Shishi glanced down sadly but kept moving.

"You live in this villa area too?" she asked.

"Top of the hill," Xiao Yang replied.

Lin Shishi studied him anew—handsome, wealthy enough for a villa, and yesterday she'd seen him battle zombies like a warrior. Wanqing's so lucky.

When they reached the villa, its fortified walls and steel gates left Lin Shishi speechless. Inside, her jaw dropped further—warmth, electricity, running water. It's paradise.

Xiao Yang fetched pajamas and snacks from his room. Returning, he froze.

Lin Shishi had shed her quilt, revealing a figure-hugging cheongsam. The silk clung to her curves, its thigh-high slits accentuating her legs. Holding a bamboo flute, she looked ethereal.

Wow. Xiao Yang stared until Mu Wanqing snapped, "Xiao Yang! The food?"

"Right!" He hurried over, dumping snacks into Lin Shishi's arms. "Eat up!"

Tears spilled as she stared at the bounty. "Thank you… but I can't take all this!"

"Don't worry," Xiao Yang reassured. "This is just a snack. Dinner's a feast!"

"Dinner?!" Her eyes turned saucer-wide.

"Absolutely," Mu Wanqing urged. "Go ahead."

Lin Shishi finally devoured the food ravenously.

Afterward, Xiao Yang handed Mu Wanqing the pajamas. "Help her shower and get settled. Sister You and I will clear more zombies. We'll feast tonight."

Though worried, Mu Wanqing nodded—Xiao Yang's 300-year energy and Lu You's combat skills made them unstoppable.

As Xiao Yang left, his gaze lingered on Lin Shishi's cheongsam-clad silhouette. Swallowing hard, he forced himself out the door.
