"Holy—HELL YES!"

I had to blink a few times just to make sure I wasn't seeing things. 3% odds. And I actually pulled it? Maybe my luck wasn't as cursed as I thought.

As I was mentally celebrating, a sudden weight settled into my hands. I looked down to see two thick, cold truncheons resting in my palms. The surface was smooth yet sturdy, engraved with intricate Egyptian symbols wrapping around the metal like ancient carvings. They pulsed faintly, almost like they were alive.

I gave them a quick spin, testing their balance. They were heavier than I expected but incredibly well-balanced. The moment they moved, I could feel how solid and deadly they were.

"Yeah, if I hit someone in the face with this, they're definitely losing some teeth."

Curious, I pressed the connection points on each end, and with a click, the two truncheons fused together, extending outward.

Within seconds, I was holding a full-length staff.

The moment it locked into place, I realized just how big this thing was. The staff stood taller than me, and even holding it felt slightly awkward given my size. It made sense—this was designed for a grown-ass man, not a middle schooler. I struggled for a bit, trying to collapse it back into the truncheon form. Eventually, I figured it out after a few tries, separating them back into their original shape.

I ran a hand over the vibranium-adamantium alloy, feeling the cold, indestructible metal beneath my fingertips. This material didn't exist in this world, meaning that here, these weapons were completely unbreakable.

Now comes the question of storage. Where the hell do I put these?

I glanced around my room, considering my options. Unlike the gun, this wasn't something I needed to hide as desperately. I could just pass them off as high-end martial arts gear or some fancy collectibles. Way easier to explain than a .454 Casull revolver, that's for sure.

After a moment, I decided to lean them against my bed. Easy access. No suspicion.

I took a step back, admiring my latest pull.

"Man, I really hit the jackpot with this one."

Taking a deep breath, I turned back to the screen.

"Alright… last Silver Ticket. Let's see if my luck holds."

I hovered over the Silver Ticket pull button and, without hesitation, clicked Pull.

The moment the cloak materialized in front of me, I knew something was off.

It wasn't just big—it was massive. Like, comically oversized. It practically engulfed my entire bed the second it dropped in.

That's what she said— GOD DAMN IT.

Shaking my head to clear that intrusive thought, I cautiously reached out and ran a hand over the fabric. The material felt incredibly smooth, yet strangely heavy, like it was carrying the weight of history itself. Deep royal blue silk stretched across the outer layer, embroidered with intricate golden patterns, while the inner lining was a deep scarlet, almost blood red. The massive high collar and shoulder pauldrons made it look ridiculously imposing, even just lying there.

I carefully lifted it, but holy hell, this thing was heavy. No wonder King Andrias had super strength—just wearing this probably counted as weight training.

Deciding to test it out, I threw it over my shoulders. Immediately, a strange sensation washed over me. It was subtle, but I could feel the shift in my posture, the way my stance automatically adjusted to be more imposing. There was something… commanding about wearing it.

I took a step toward the mirror, and damn—I looked good. The cloak draped over me like it was tailored for royalty, the fabric flowing behind me with every movement.

Then, out of nowhere—

A whisper.

It was faint, almost like a distant echo, but it was there.

I immediately yanked the cloak off. Nope. Not dealing with ghostly ruler visions today.

I folded the cloak—or at least tried to—and set it aside on my desk. Unlike the gun, this one didn't need to be hidden. If anyone asked, I'd just say it was some cosplay cape or a fancy collector's item.

With that settled, I turned back to the system screen.

"Alright, that was interesting," I muttered. "Let's see what the Gold Ticket has in store for me."

I hovered over the Gold Ticket pull button and clicked Pull.

What? Why is the recycling cost gone?!

I stared at the screen, completely dumbfounded.

{"Hey, where's WordGirl?"}

Oh hell no.

{"I don't even know you, buddy, but let's make this work!"}

I clutched my head as the unmistakable voice of a narrator rang out in my mind, his tone cheerful, dramatic, and slightly condescending.

{"Our protagonist, still struggling to grasp the reality of his situation, suddenly realizes the true weight of his decision…"}

I groaned, rubbing my temples. "Nope. Nope, nope, nope. I am absolutely not dealing with this."

{"Oh, you're definitely dealing with this. After all, you picked the Gold Ticket, and boy, did you hit the jackpot!"}

I squeezed my eyes shut, willing the voice to go away.

{"…He tried, in vain, to escape the consequences of his own actions."}

I took a deep breath. "There's gotta be a mute button somewhere."

{"Oh-ho, no, my dear protagonist! You don't get rid of me that easily! I'm here to stay, through thick and thin, through triumph and tragedy, through—"}

I smacked my forehead against my desk. "I swear to God, if you don't shut up—"

{"Threats! The hero, desperate and at his wit's end, turns to violence! But alas, violence will not silence the narrative force!"}

My eye twitched. This was worse than I thought.

I had no way to turn him off.

I shot a glare at the system screen. "You didn't say this was permanent."

{"Well, maybe next time, you'll read the fine print."}

I sat there, gripping the sides of my chair, staring at the screen in horrified realization.

This was forever.

"...I hate everything."

{"And yet, everything continues! Our hero presses onward, learning to live with his new, ever-present companion."}

I groaned, dragging my hands down my face.

This was my life now.

Fantastic.
