Reincarnated as a Judge with a 9-Star Talent

Chapter 8: Aren't I enough? (1/2)

Lex, after seeing changes in the status panel, was a little shocked because it was showing more details, and his talent had changed from 3-star to 9-star.

When he had 9x Auto Cultivation talent, he used to get like 3 years' worth of cultivation in one year. When he had the 3-Star Talent, he used to get 12 years' worth of cultivation. He's not sure how much he'll get for 9-Star Talent.

Lex was actually looking forward to his next birthday too because he was not certain if he would get something on his tenth birthday.

Lex was seated upon a luxurious chair, and today was his twelfth birthday. As he expected, after nine years he didn't get any gifts or talent upgrades, but his 9-star talent was OP.

It was like 50 pure breaths per second, and he has gotten it for about three years now; his cultivation has improved leaps and bounds in these three years.

He also practiced his sword technique, but it was not leveling up in the stats panel, although he was feeling more and more comfortable using a sword nowadays.

Lex then got up from the chair he was seated in and went to the floor-to-ceiling mirror and looked at himself; he was already six feet tall, although he was a little thin, but there were muscles you could see.

He was wearing a pure white-colored suit, as his family insignia is white, then wore a white-colored cultivation robe on top of it, and then walked towards the gate of the mansion.

This was the first time he was legally going out, as he had been under house arrest all his life; he cursed the Grand General and Prime Minister many times for it.

Both of these powerful people never came to visit him even once, and as he was not an adult anymore, he had to listen to the closest adult, whoever it was. It's a law by the Ancient Court, but now that law doesn't bind him anymore.

As soon as he walked outside, he saw two white armored guards look at him with a little bit of shock, but they gestured for him to go inside very casually.

Lex, seeing this, smiled because, when he was a minor, he didn't want to offend the Ancient Court right off the bat, but he was an adult now, and the court says different things for an adult.

"Why are you gesturing to me?" Lex asked; this was the first time he talked with the guards that are stationed outside his mansion.

"Sir, we're ordered to protect you and keep you safe inside the mansion," one of the guards said. He tried to smile but gave up midway.

"Oh! I know, so who told you to keep me here confined?" Lex asked; his legs were not stopping for a second. He was going towards the final gate of his mansion.

"It's Grand General..." The guard was about to talk more when he saw Lex holding up his arm as if to shush him.

"I don't want to hear who it was," Lex said smilingly; his fake smile was still there as he approached the bewildered guards.

"I am going out. Whoever it was that gave you that order, please tell them I don't want you guys to protect me anymore." Lex said his smile broadened a bit.

"W...we can't do that. You have to be here; otherwise, the Grand General will be angry at you." The other guard threatened Lex while pulling out his sword from his sheath.

"Do you feel the same way?" Lex asked the other guard, as one of the guards had already pulled out his sword.

"S...sir, I am just a soldier." The other guard was not as aggressive; he simply said with a bit of regret.

"I understand. I'll call you Guard 1, so Mr. Guard 1, do you think it's appropriate to show your sword to your liege lord?" Lex simply reminded them of their position.

Guard 2, who didn't draw his sword, was actually rethinking his approach because he doesn't want to face the wrath of the next lord.

*swish*

"This sword is nice." In an instant, Lex was behind both of them, and he was holding a sword in his hand.

Guard 2, looking at his own sword in Lex's hand, was astonished; Guard 1, who was a fanatic follower of the Grand General, felt like he had seen a ghost.

"How dare you?" Guard 1 was furious; he wanted to complete this task directly given by the Grand General himself.

"If this is what they provide to the normal soldiers, then I guess we're a decently powerful," Lex said while admiring the sword in his hand.

"You bastard!" Guard 1 just used his sword; he slashed towards Lex, who in an instant disappeared into nothing, and the sword missed its target.

"Bastard? Well, you're punishable by death now." Guard 1, hearing this, saw his vision was collapsing towards the ground; he felt weird because he didn't move his head at all.

Guard 2, who was seeing the whole thing from a third-party perspective, saw Lex instantly appear behind Guard 1 and use his sword to decapitate Guard 1's head.

Lex smiled seeing the blood spewing uncontrollably like a natural fountain, on earth when he was a hero he had killed several people, so killing doesn't hurt his conscious.

Lex then simply took a step back to avoid the blood on his clothes and gave the sword back to the dumbfounded Guard 2.

Seeing Lex slowly walking towards the Theodore Castle, Guard 2 barely moved; the terror was real.

"H... He's insane, killed without blinking an eye, my sword." Guard 2 clutched his sword in his chest, which was dyed red now.
