( Yuuki's POV )

Sora: If anyone is going to have a fight with you, it will be me.

Right after the girls, Sora appeared to ask for a duel, he was not at the same level as Erica and Liliana, but he did not lack determination, I knew something like this was coming, so I had no problem accepting.

Yuuki: Fine, I'll test you at the same time.

Sora: I can take you on by myself.

Yuuki: no, you can't.

We moved to the courtyard that connects to the elevator at the entrance, because of the large space, I took a huge two-handed sword and stood in front of the other three.

What we were doing soon attracted attention and all the inhabitants of the castle came out to watch.

The three of them had a better chance if they worked together but Sora jumped into the battle ignoring the others, he raised his halberd and used a decent strong swing on me, a simple attack that I easily blocked and then delivered a kick that sent him flying past the girls, after that the girls started a more coordinated attack, the swords I gave them could change their shape and to start attacking Erica transformed hers into a spear and Liliana's into a bow, with the original abilities of the katana she could create infinite arrows but she couldn't make them invisible yet.

The swords were also enchanted with Materia and neutral magics like [Boost] and [Accel].

Erica used those magics to shorten the distance between us, but she couldn't use them perfectly, she used a flurry of thrusts, but instead of trying to land a clean hit, she wanted to overwhelm me and let Liliana's arrows do the work.

Liliana covered her arrows in wind magic, and when she fired, they took weird angles to hit me from the sides, I created an ice dagger in my left hand to deflect as many arrows as I could and jumped out of the way when needed.

They were far from landing a hit on me, but Erica was fighting with a smile on her face, they weren't going to win, but Erica knew she was proving her point, Sora also came back to push me back a little more, and he was no longer using such predictable attacks.

In the end, they couldn't land a hit on me, but they did prove that they could go out there with a proper escort of course.

When we went out to explore again this time we went out in three groups, Erica, Liliana, Shera, and Sora were in a group led by Mythra, Astraea, and Rhym were on their own locating the great runes, and I was with Pheliss following the clue she had found the other day, Lisanna came with me because she didn't want to stay locked up in the castle and when Akane heard that we were going to a place where she could learn sorcery she insisted on coming, the others stayed in the castle and Takao was protecting them.

We came to some stairs in some random ruins that led to an underground chamber, we first entered a large room with some black crystals lying around the place, which made me think that Pheliss might have had a battle here.

At the end of the place, there was a hidden room, Pheliss opened the door, and on the other side was a person wearing blue wizard robes and a stone helmet in the shape of a woman's head, hiding her real face.

Pheliss: Master, this is the woman I mentioned to you, Sorceress Sellen.

Sellen: So you are my prospective apprentice, before we start I should tell you-

Pheliss: I told you before, my master is not interested in your personal circumstances, as long as you can teach him.

Sellen had the air of someone on the run from the authorities, but she didn't have a malevolent aura, so Pheliss was right, If she could teach me about the sorcery of this world, that was enough for me.

Sellen: Very well, we can begin then.

The first thing was obviously an explanation about the systems of sorcery and something of its origins, many magic systems shared similarities in their foundations so this wasn't completely new to me, She then talked about the need for catalysts for conjuring but that wasn't necessary for me with a Sekirei's natural ability to use magic directly.

I quickly moved from theory to practice and received some scrolls with basic spells to practice, I returned to the large room to practice without disturbing the others who were still in theory.

I didn't need a catalyst to use spells but I did need to familiarize myself with the essence of the Glintstone, and there was a slow way and a fast way for that, and I'll just say it's a good thing I was alone for this, I had in my hand a piece of Glintstone that Sellen had lying around and after transforming my teeth into those of a dragon I began to eat the magical mineral, and when I finished I let out a small blue breath.

I created some stone mannequins and practiced the basic spells that were mentioned in the fact that they came from a mineral, Glintstone pebble, shard, great shard, and cometshard.

These were basically stones of different sizes surrounded by a magical aura and fired at different speeds with slight tracking abilities, I shot the stone mannequins until I was satisfied.

With that ready I try something new when I pick up one of the crystals around the room, I ran my power into the crystal in a manner similar to sorcery and after concentrating for a moment it was covered by an aura of dark magic, that was a success but the glass started to shake slightly, it seemed that it was losing stability quickly, I aimed at the mannequins and shot, I was expecting more power than the basic spells but I was surprised that when the crystal hit a small explosion of magic occurred, destroying the mannequins completely, that result pushed me to experiment more and I ended up collecting all the black crystals that were scattered around the room.
