Chapter 546: Lecture
With Allison bringing up the suggestion of resolvement, only Ronald was more vocal about it while Xu Feng kept silent.
It wasn't that he didn't want to pursue the charges, but he knew his so-called plan had effectively failed. What was the point in continuing something that was destined to fail?
Not to mention, he was done acting hooligan anyway.
To seriously go to a hospital and waste more time dealing with the paperwork, followed by police procedural interview questions… he would pass on that.
"No, why should that youngster go with you to your place," Ronald exclaimed, not a bit bothered by the so-called fine. He didn't lack any money whatsoever.
However, he was worried about these two being alone in her place.
There were so many things that a man and woman could do in a place with no one else after all.
And having recalled Xu Feng's previous provocation, Ronald seriously doubted the former wouldn't try anything funny toward Allison.
Unfortunately, he didn't get to say anything further when Allison finally put on a stern expression and glared at the police officers.
"Why are you two officers still standing there? Although it's only a fine, you still need to bring him back to the station to sign some papers. Or perhaps, you want the matter to escalate and bring in more influential people into the equation?" Allison asked coolly.
"This isn't how it works—"
Before one of the officers could continue to say such a suggestion was completely illogical and unlawful, his other colleague quickly nodded.
"Yes, we shall take our leave now." The more experienced colleague then dragged the unwilling Ronald away from the scene. Without a doubt, the person in charge here was Allison, given how dormant Ronald was acting toward her.
As for his other inexperienced yet somewhat righteous colleague, he could only give him some more private lessons after the incident was resolved.
Nothing was more frustrating than having to deal with rich people who could easily get away with a mere warning or small compensation.
Thankfully, it appeared that they were lucky this time because of Allison's suggestion.
Sometime later, almost everyone returned to their own things now that the farce and drama were essentially over. Their curiosity was short span one, with some clearly disappointed that it was resolved so hastily and blurry.
Meanwhile, Allison started pointing at the seat opposite of her. "Aren't you going to sit down, Student Xu Feng? Or do you still want to pretend the punch hurts really badly and need me to soothe it for you?"
"I really got punched." Xu Feng rubbed his cheek softly and sat across from her.
"And what exactly do you want from me?" He continued, no longer bothered to pretend like a hooligan anymore.
Similarly, Allison no longer put on a fake smile and leaned closer to him.
"I'm interested in hearing your thought process regarding the current Kingston School state. There might not be any evidence, but from a little bit of hints here and there, it's hard to not believe Dean Qiao's demise had nothing to do with you." Find exclusive stories on My Virtual Library Empire
"Why does my thought process matter?"
"Because you are one of the affected students who refused to attend any of my courses. Do you know how embarrassing it is for me to have a student outright ignore me?" Allison shrugged and teased.
"Right, I haven't dropped out officially." Nodding, Xu Feng clasped his hands and continued, "Rest assured, I'll have them notified soon that I'm dropping out so your attendance rate will remain perfect."
"..."
Speechless, Allison furrowed her brows as she wondered why he was so adamant about quitting school.
"Could it be that you're playing the Divine World?" She softly asked. "Lately, this game has been taking the world by storm and some of my students who were diligent in their studies began to slack off to play it."
"Understandable."
Although it wasn't visible yet, the world would soon undergo a new era itself.
Schools would no longer be teaching those boring curriculums, but rather the Divine World and strategy.
As for why, that would be for the later future, given that its significance was still too early to be revealed.
But one thing was for certain. Once the players in the Divine World start to realize their mental concentration and physical ability increased tremendously while playing, their subsequent reaction would be obvious.
Without a doubt, everyone would soon swarm to get themselves a virtual helmet or gaming capsule to hop into the miraculous Divine World.
"I supposed that answers my question." Allison smiled bitterly, unable to fathom the allure of the Divine World. "However, I still hope you can still attend the courses. You're almost done with school so why give up now? If you think another incident like Dean Qiao would occur, then you have my guarantee that it won't."
"Ahh, I'm afraid you're mistaken. I don't care about that at all." Xu Feng mused. Dean Qiao was merely someone who had irritated him in the past timeline. Added to his heinous crimes, it resulted in Xu Feng physically making a move.
As for the other dirt or scandals revolving around Kingston School, Xu Feng was not a saint or hero to involve himself in it. That should have been obvious. After all, no matter how much filth one tried to cleanse, filths would always resurface.
"If this is all you wanted to ask, then I guess this shall be our last meeting, Allison." He continued, directly addressing her by her first name rather than by professor. This alone indicated Xu Feng's stance.
"You want to leave that quick right after staring at me so lewdly?" Unfazed, Allison curled her lips upward and tapped her fingers on the table. "What do you think will happen if I file a sexual harassment lawsuit against you?"
"Eh, go ahead and try?" Xu Feng nearly laughed aloud at her horrible threat.
As expected of the classic Allison. Always resorting to threats in an attempt to scare the latter but never actually followed through with it.
"You can go ahead and lecture someone else, but that doesn't work on me."
