Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 624: Dreadpoint

When Gao Zhong sent the message that he received to the elders, their expressions quickly turned dreadful.

There were even some of them who had the impulse to kill Hundred Ghost and Eagle Snipe on the spot.

As a first-rate guild, it was natural to be arrogant and domineering over those weaklings. However, there was an ironclad law to such a rule.

And that was to ensure that the people they wanted to mess with had to be someone with no background or power whatsoever. Find more to read at My Virtual Library Empire

After all, offending such people was just equivalent to asking for death. So unless it was the opposing people that messed with them first, they were forbidden to cause trouble to them.

"Although Eagle Snipe had taken over the branch guild, I must say that it's not looking good, Young Master." Jason suddenly took the chance to chime in.

"The person that Hundred Ghost and Eagle Snipe targeted was none other than the famous Summoner, Lunar Wraith. Thanks to these two, the branch guild's reputation was dragged through the mud." He explained, allowing the elders to know just what kind of amazing judgment these two people have.

Sure enough, when the elders heard the name Lunar Wraith, who had caused a storm just a few days ago by massacring many elites of the MIST Guild located at Skyland City, they were stupefied.

"Haha, no wonder why our stocks have been falling and that many first-rate guilds were starting to target us without fear." One of the elders within the room, going by the name, Dreadpoint, laughed hysterically.

"The two of you really know how to assist the Reaver Guild." Dreadpoint then slammed his palm at the table and roared with all his might.

Immediately, Hundred Ghost and Eagle Snipe knelt on the ground, with their forehead kissing the ground.

Both of them were equally guilty, and Eagle Snipe wanted nothing more than to overturn his actions from back then. Had he not schemed to obtain the branch guild leader position, then he wouldn't even need to be present here.

Meanwhile, Hundred Ghost was familiar with this situation and understood one of them must face the wrath. It was either that or both of them could kiss their beautiful lifestyle goodbye.

'Hmph, don't blame me, Eagle Snipe.' Hundred Ghost inwardly sneered and crawled forward.

"Elder Dreadpoint, and Young Master Gao, please listen to me." Hundred Ghost said.

"Speak, let's see what kind of flowery explanation you can give." Unamused, Gao Zhong permitted him to speak for one last time. After this meeting was over, he already planned on sacrificing these two to dispel the enmity between the Reaver Guild and the Vanguard Guild.

His plan on trying to ruin the Vanguard Guild could be said to be shelved indefinitely. He knew the pros and cons if he continued to go against such a rising upstart guild.

Hundred Ghost also knew this was his last chance, most likely due to his past contribution to the guild. Otherwise, with how Gao Zhong operated, he wouldn't even get to speak.

Thus, he took a deep breath and decided to throw Eagle Snipe under the bus ruthlessly.

"Lunar Wraith was originally someone I wanted to recruit through goodwill, but Eagle Snipe went a bit overboard, causing her to frown at our guild's conduct. In the end, Eagle Snipe enticed me that we needed to teach her a lesson because she humiliated our guild in public. I wanted to end the matter and resume recruiting more since it's just one person, but Eagle Snipe's persuasion made it seem like our prestige would be dampened." He explained, pinning the blame entirely on Eagle Snipe.

"What nonsense!" Almost immediately, Eagle Snipe raised his head and pointed his fingers at Hundred Ghost. "It was you who said Lunar Wraith was disrespectful to us and that we should kill her back to level 0 to make a point."

As the two sides had their own argument, Gao Zhong and the elders were wondering who should punish harder. Meanwhile, Hundred Ghost made a sly grin secretly, almost as if he had been waiting for Eagle Snipe to retaliate.

"Young Master Gao, I have compiled a list of evidence against Eagle Snipe." Hundred Ghost revealed and sent a file to Gao Zhong.

"In that file, it was evidence of Eagle Snipe's attempt to usurp my position while blindsiding my loyalty to the guild into causing such a big mistake. I admit my foolishness cannot be forgiven, but please trust that my loyalty to the Reaver Guild is real."

Eagle Snipe was thoroughly enraged at how Hundred Ghost twisted black and white seamlessly.

Just when he wanted to speak his side of the story, Gao Zhong halted him and said, "Silence, I'm browsing through the list."

Realizing that Gao Zhong seemed to have been swayed slightly, Eagle Snipe quickly turned his attention to Jason, hoping the latter would put in some words.

The feud between Jason and Hundred Ghost wasn't uncommon, so now was the time to act to eliminate his competitor.

Unfortunately, to his dismay, Jason smiled lightly and said, "Young Master Gao, Hundred Ghost's action is indeed unforgivable, but his loyalty is indeed unquestionable. It just so happened that I received rumors that the Vanguard Guild hadn't done anything to retaliate against us because Hundred Ghost apologized sincerely when he went to resolve the ban incident at Star Falls City."

Nodding, Gao Zhong found Jason's point to be valid.

The remaining elders also agreed that the branch Reaver Guild didn't receive much trouble when they commanded Hundred Ghost to fix the issues.

Gao Zhong's expression also darkened when he read the report about how Eagle Snipe had directly contacted the Eternal Guild behind his back to sabotage the Vanguard Guild.

"Elder Dreadpoint, take a look at this and tell me what you think I should do." Gao Zhong clenched his fist and sent the information to Dreadpoint.

A few minutes later, Dreadpoint's aura rose as his eyes glared fiercely at Eagle Snipe.

"Expel Eagle Snipe and have him return everything that the Reaver Guild had assisted him with." Dreadpoint solemnly declared, prompting Eagle Snipe's face to turn to ashen white.
