Revolution in the Ninja World

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Copy Ninja Catastrophe

Hotaru, Koh, the dungeon, and Orochimaru – they all became things of the past in an instant. Now, Habara was no longer Orochimaru's test subject; he was a Konoha pawn.

Of course, this might have been Habara being overly cynical. Perhaps Konoha had genuinely accepted him. Since his "Magnet Release kekkei genkai" ninja status had been directly exposed, he could be considered a special talent, thus warranting special recruitment… Unfortunately, Habara himself didn't believe in such a naive assumption.

Although he still didn't know the exact year (asking "What year is it?" was something a normal person just wouldn't do), he was certain that the Third Shinobi World War was still ongoing.

War was cruel, and its cruelty lay in the fact that it demanded everything involved to be equally cruel.

Habara temporarily remained at that camp. The four members of the squad essentially stayed together, but aside from their initial introductions, where they exchanged names and tactical positions, there wasn't much to talk about… This was similar to his situation in the cell.

They were strangers, lacking any sense of trust in each other. Cooperation and tacit understanding were out of the question. Compared to the squad leader and the withdrawn teammate, Habara had relatively more interaction with the youngest, Daigo.

After learning a bit about the team's composition from Daigo, Habara became somewhat uneasy, because the team's structure seemed illogical…

Generally speaking, ninjas with surnames likely came from ninja clans, while ninjas with only given names were probably from civilian backgrounds… Although this method of judgment was very rough, everyone in Habara's squad, except for him, had only a given name and no surname.

In addition to the highest-ranking commander being only a Chunin, through his chats with Daigo, Habara learned that the proportion of ninjas who were originally from Konoha in this team was very low. Besides people like Habara, there were even more ninjas who were trying to integrate into Konoha, or perhaps more accurately, "naturalized ninjas"… In short, the current squad was made up of a complex mix of people, with unreliability and untrustworthiness being the keynotes.

So, leaving Orochimaru didn't necessarily mean safety. From now on, Habara had to be extremely careful, or he might unknowingly fall into a trap.

Unlike in the dungeon, Habara's range of movement had significantly increased in the camp. He could move freely within the camp's boundaries, but since the team would soon be heading to the front lines, he couldn't leave without authorization.

Within the designated area, Habara could manage his time independently.

He took the opportunity to secretly read the note Hotaru had given him. It turned out to be a detailed map. It used the cell he had previously stayed in as a reference point, and a special location was marked in red…

Hotaru might have foreseen her own end, so she hid something and informed Habara, who had no connection to Konoha and was someone Orochimaru wouldn't suspect.

Habara could guess that Hotaru was likely someone Konoha had planted by Orochimaru's side. She should have transmitted some confidential information about Orochimaru to the village, which was why she was killed… This information was very likely about "Koh." Konoha would definitely be particularly interested in the application of the First Hokage's cells.

As for the Cursed Seal experiment involving Habara himself, Hotaru probably hadn't transmitted that information. Otherwise, Habara wouldn't have been so easily released from the dungeon. It wasn't hard to understand, though, since Orochimaru's Cursed Seal experiment hadn't truly begun yet; Hotaru probably had no idea what Orochimaru was doing.

If Habara obtained the things Hotaru had hidden and handed them over to Konoha, he might be directly accepted by the village… This was the potential benefit and his motivation for acting on Hotaru's behalf.

But after thinking it over, Habara decided to put this matter aside for the time being. Unless absolutely necessary, he didn't want to create any unnecessary complications. In this familiar yet unfamiliar world, his current attitude was to not get involved in things he shouldn't be involved in.

This world was a "closed loop," with great cataclysms and saviors. So, Habara didn't need to worry about the grand narrative at all; he just needed to ensure his own survival.

He had to think about himself.

And if asked what his greatest advantage was in this world, the answer certainly wouldn't be his "kekkei genkai," but rather his "informational advantage" – there were no major or minor secrets of this world that he didn't know.

So, while his memories of the ninja world were still fresh, he needed to reinforce his memory of those things that absolutely shouldn't be forgotten… Just in case. If he accidentally forgot some crucial information later on, that would be disastrous.

But that being said, Habara couldn't write those things down on paper now, not even in code… Writing down so many patterned scribbles, what if a Konoha ninja saw them? What the heck would he be trying to do?

Only after Habara's surroundings were stable and secure would he consider whether or not to make a paper record.

Besides crucial information about the ninja world, Habara also wanted to memorize the information of some key ninjas in a quantifiable way, to better assess their combat power. Or rather, for his own safety, he wanted to assess the threat level of some ninjas in a more intuitive way.

And since he was going to assess combat power, he naturally needed to choose a suitable benchmark. Without spending much time, Habara directly decided on a very suitable subject – 26-year-old, Three-Tomoe Sharingan state Hatake Kakashi.

As everyone knew, this combat power unit was the famous "one Kakashi."

With the combat power benchmark established, what about the evaluation criteria?

The formalized eight attributes of Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Strength, Speed, Seals, Stamina, and Intelligence, Habara felt, were not comprehensive. They couldn't directly reflect a ninja's combat level.

After thinking about it, Habara decided to add two more attributes to these eight:

First, "Burst" to represent a ninja's instantaneous maximum chakra output.

Second, "Arcana" to represent the power of a ninja's secret techniques, forbidden techniques, and ultimate ninjutsu.

With these two additions, the data would be more reflective of a ninja's combat power.

Using these ten attributes for measurement, each with a maximum of ten points, the total possible score would be one hundred. At the same time, given that some ninjas' attributes might far exceed the ten-point limit, Habara decided to use a "+" to indicate that they were off the charts in that attribute. This "+" essentially meant that the ninja was invincible in that particular category.

After calculating a base score using these ten attributes, each attribute would then be weighted by a factor of 10. Finally, adding Habara's subjective impression, a ninja's combat power could be roughly outlined.

So, Three-Tomoe Kakashi's stats were as follows: Ninjutsu (10), Taijutsu (9), Genjutsu (8), Strength (6), Speed (9), Seals (10), Stamina (6), Intelligence (10), Burst (6), Arcana (5). Total: 80. Conventional Combat Power Assessment: 900.

Therefore, the quantified "one Kakashi" was a total score of 80 and a combat power level of 900.

If we were to use this method to assess the "Three Legendary Sannin" Jiraiya, a normal ninja's peak combat power, it would look like this: Ninjutsu (10), Taijutsu (9), Genjutsu (6), Strength (9), Speed (9), Seals (9), Stamina (10), Intelligence (9), Burst (10+), Arcana (10+). Total: 91++. Conventional Combat Power Assessment: 2100. Limit Combat Power Assessment: 6300

Then, if we were to assess the "God of Shinobi," the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, in this way, things would get interesting: Ninjutsu (10+), Taijutsu (10+), Genjutsu (10), Strength (10), Speed (10), Seals (10), Stamina (10+), Intelligence (10), Burst (10+++), Arcana (10+++). Total: 100+++++++++. Conservative Estimate of Normal Combat Power: 20000. Limit Combat Power… this number could be anything.

Of course, by comparison, we can see that while these numbers have a certain degree of rationality, they aren't truly objective. Jiraiya's normal combat power being a little over two Kakashis makes sense. But the "God of Shinobi" only being twenty Kakashis is less reasonable.

The Nine-Tails' chakra amount was over a hundred times that of Kakashi, and Senju Hashirama's chakra was comparable to the Nine-Tails'. Even with a simple comparison like that, the difference between them wouldn't be just twenty times.

So, off-the-charts, outlier data has little meaning and no research value. Quantifying the "God of Shinobi's" combat power was just for fun.

After establishing the "one Kakashi" standard, Habara tried to analyze himself… Okay, there was no need for analysis. Many of his scores wouldn't even exceed three, and his combat power assessment would be between 30 and 50.

To be generous, let's give him a 50. From now on, Habara would be the "new scrub" of the ninja world.

This showed that looking down on "one Kakashi" was unreasonable. For ordinary ninjas, "one Kakashi" was impossibly far away.
