Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 48: Town Economic Activity

Not only Isabella but also Clara and Liel introduced their beast servants to Aaron. The young man smiled as he praised all of them; they managed to get their first servant. It would be a wonderful experience for them.

Daniel clapped his hands, happy to see the three of them liked the gift he gave them. He also told Aaron about the shop that sold Beast Elixir.

The price of one bottle reached 500 RL with an increase of servant level about 100.

"Alright. We'll be there soon. Thank you for your gift," Aaron said.

Daniels said yes. Unwilling to stay any longer in that place, Aaron said goodbye to Daniels and Elsa. They left the place while still activating their beast servants.

"I never thought Aaron had a soul servant," Elsa explained.

"Me, too. His existence is so important to anyone's group, he might be able to compete with Alfredo Mash's abilities in the future."

"Really? You've never made such a judgment about someone before. What makes you confident?" asked Elsa.

"It's just my intuition that speaks."

Alfredo Mash was the one who held the chair of Dimension Justice, not on the Fourth floor, but in all branches.

In other words, he was the President of Dimension Justice. Currently, his level has reached 270, the same level as a Venerable Sage in Tier 4.

Among the hundreds of thousands of people trapped in the Dark Pillar Tower, he was the only one who managed to reach the highest level, with 70 floors already conquered.

With Aaron's strength at such a young age, Daniels had faith he could match the strength of Alfredo Mash, or even surpass him to the last floor and claim the Dark Ruler title.

Aaron walked away from Daniels' residence to arrive at the line of shops selling the item he was looking for, the Beast Elixir.

Unfortunately, the aftermath of the ongoing invasion had left the main street area of the city deserted without anyone selling.

"Looks like we'll have to look for it tomorrow. Do you mind?" asked Aaron, realizing the city's main street was empty of merchants.

Isabella didn't mind. They decided to return to rest at the inn because the situation was quite safe, and people also left the bunker and returned to their homes.

Unbeknownst to them, several people were waiting for Aaron and his group from inside the dark, narrow alley outside the inn.

They stared intently, watching the place thoroughly, then disappeared silently on the dark night.

***

The next day.

The main street of the town.

As the situation was deemed safe enough, Daniels and the rest of the group decided to reopen the shops. The economy returned to normal.

Isabella and the two women stepped in the other direction and saw a crowded shop with customers. Aaron didn't mind; he also stepped in the other direction to find a shop that he thought was suitable.

Aaron's steps were halted when he saw a man running around in shabby clothes full of iron stains. He sprinted after the thin man who carried three swords in his arms, a thief.

Aaron narrowed his eyes. He brought up his dark magic and shot the magic forward, hitting the thief precisely.

The thief's body was knocked away, three swords fell down, creating a string of clanking iron sounds in the place. A warning panel suddenly appeared without cause before Aaron, red in color and with a yellow text color.

[WARNING!]

[Prohibited from injuring, harming, or killing people in the city ]

[Further acts of disregarding the rules will be penalized according to the rules of the Three Major Groups on the Fourth Floor!]

[First warning!]

[Host: Aaron Lewis]

'I never thought they would be able to control this city's security system and regulations. It's really impressive.'

"What are you doing?!" snapped the thief.

The fat man, the owner of a blacksmith shop on the city's main street, retrieved the three swords that were stolen earlier.

At first, he wanted to beat up the thief to teach him a lesson, but Aaron prevented him by holding his hand.

"If you beat him up, you'll get punished."

"You got your stuff back. It's best to hand him over to the city police," Aaron suggested. The fat man tried to take a deep breath and then exhaled slowly.

What Aaron said was right. If the fat man attacked him when he got his stuff back, he would be guilty of unlawful assault. Both of them might be sent to jail for different crimes.

A 12-year-old boy came in. He was startled to see his father was not in the shop and was in the middle of a crowd. He tried to move through the crowd and saw his father standing next to a young man.

"What happened, Dad?" the boy asked, distracting the fat man and Aaron.

"How long have you been stuck in this place?" asked Aaron.

"20 years."

"So, you got married here and raised him without knowing there was another world besides the Dark Pillar Tower?" asked Aaron. The fat man sighed as he nodded in reply.

The city police came and arrested the thief. The fat man chose to leave the crowd to return to his blacksmith shop.

He invited Aaron to come along since he had saved his goods. The man had to give Aaron something as a token of his gratitude.

"You seem to be an expert in using magic elements. Am I right?"

Aaron said yes, seeing the many works of the man's forging displayed in that place, such as swords, spears, shields, arrows, armor, etc.

Every time Aaron touched those objects, an item panel explained each item in detail.

[Item Details:]

[Name: Iron Sword Dual Blade]

[Grade: B]

[Durability: 2000/2000]

[Description: A dual-blade sword made of Dark Tin iron. Suitable for mages with talents focusing on physical strength, attack speed, or weapon manipulation]

'I only learned a bit of swordsmanship at the academy. Swords are not my style.'

"Please take a look. These are magic items I forged for mage users like you," the man said.

Four items were lined up on the wooden table: a magic staff, an iron gauntlet, a magic wand, and a black glove. Aaron pressed each item, looking at the details carefully.

It said it was intended for mages, but because of Aaron's taste, he couldn't choose things that looked flashy. His choice fell to a black glove with a purple carved pattern.

[Item Details:]

[Name: Nylon Gloves]

[Grade: 1]

[Durability: 500/500]

[Description: An item useful for controlling elemental magic in the palm of the hand. The host can concentrate the magic attack from each finger according to the host's will].

"How much is this?" asked Aaron.

"For you, I'm giving it for free because you saved my three precious swords."

"No. I can't accept it. You'd better give me a discount than free," Aaron replied.

"Hmm... you're a kind-hearted young man. Alright, I'll give you a 50% discount."

"So how much?" asked Aaron.

"You only need to pay 2000 RL."

Aaron said yes. He brought the system watch closer to a blue, glowing box as a transaction tool. Another panel appeared before Aaron and the fat man.

[Transaction successful]

[Item: Nylon Gloves]

[Price: 2000 RL]

[Information: 50% discount ]

"Thank you, sir. I'm really lucky to meet you."

"Do you also accept selling items? I have something you can consider."

"Please. I'll take a look and offer you a price," the man said.

Aaron opened the digital storage panel and brought up the Arknoir sword he got after defeating the floor boss. The sword emerged with the blade sheathed in an abstract carved scabbard, present on the table.

The fat man before Aaron squinted, then pressed the sword for quite a while. The item details panel popped up and surprised the man.

[Item Details:]

[Name: Arknoir Sword]

[Grade: A]

[Durability: 7500/7500]

[Description: A sword with an iron blade mixed with dragon bone, suitable for mage knights due to the resistance of dragon bone to magic energy]

"Woah ... I can crush it, take out the dragon bone, then insert it into one of my best swords. I think it would be an S-grade sword," said the man with the blacksmith.

"Are you gonna sell it to me? Are you sure?" the man asked, confirming.

"Of course. I'm not a sword person. If you want, I'll sell it for 10,000 RL."

"Deal!" said the fat man without hesitation.

Another transaction occurred, but now it was the fat man's turn to hand over five black bags of coins to Aaron.

If the transaction was between fellow adventurers, they could do it with a manual transaction —coin money.

Aaron only needed to press it like a menu panel to find out the exact amount of each coin in the black bag. It read about 2000.

"Okay, the money is good."

The fat man got the Arknoir sword, while Aaron got the money. Aaron remembered the MP Crystal. He immediately asked about the whereabouts of MP Crystals in the city's shopping rows.

"There's a merchant friend of mine who sells them, though they're only level two. You'd better go because MP Crystals run out quickly like ice in summer."

"I'll do that. Thank you."

The boy left to take Aaron to the shop that sold MP Crystals. Unexpectedly, the shop auctioned off 5 pieces of MP crystals level 3. The shopkeeper set a starting price 10,000 for 5 pieces of MP crystals level 3.

"12000!"

"15000!"

"20000!"

People bid higher, competing with each other's prices. Aaron also wanted MP Crystals; winning the auction was one way to get them.

The highest bid was 35000 RL, a rather high amount for five pieces of MP Crystals Level 3. After feeling that no one else was bidding, Aaron raised his hand and gave a bidding price that shocked many people.

"50000 RL!"
