Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 50: The Real Threat

The shopkeeper saw a look of seriousness appear on Aaron's face, as if he wanted to prove once again that he'd get a good talent on this try.

The man was seen reaching out, asking Aaron to hand over his S rank talent slip. Aaron handed over the slip without any doubt.

"The number of talents for S rank is 20. The higher the rank, the fewer talents are available," the man replied.

"I got it."

[Talent Rank slip has been used]

[Grade: S]

[Starts selecting talents randomly]

The Spinning Wheel changed with the number of talents available reaching 20. Aaron looked at each of the talents one by one. He didn't know the meaning of each talent displayed there.

"You already know the rules, right?" asked the man, Aaron cleared his throat in response.

He put his palm back on the circle in the center of the Spinning Wheel, another panel popped up explaining the talent selection process was about to begin.

[Talent Rank Selection begins]

[Grade: S]

[Host: Aaron Lewis]

The thing spun clockwise again, the hands pointing to each talent that passed before the Spinning Wheel stopped. Aaron paused, stepping back to wait for the talent selection process to finish.

"Whatever you're gonna get, you have to take it. It's not easy to get an S rank talent slip, you know?"

"I understand."

The spinning wheel began to spin slowly, and the most thrilling times would happen soon. Aaron squinted, looking at the possibility of the S-rank talent he would get.

The clock on the Spinning Wheel stopped right at a talent that stated Gravity Manipulation. The man owning the shop looked shocked with widened eyes.

He never expected that Aaron managed to get the Gravity Manipulation Talent.

[Talent Rank Selection successful]

[Talent: Gravity Manipulation]

[Rank: S]

[Stage: First]

[Description: The power of the talent to allow the host to control gravity in the surrounding area, ranging from ignoring the laws of gravity, gravitational pressure, to destroying molecules with the power of place gravity].

[Add talent rank to Secondary Talent]

[Yes] [No]

'Gravity manipulation? It's something valuable, especially to be my defense force,' Aaron said.

Not wanting to waste the S-rank talent he got, Aaron decided to put the gravity manipulation talent into the Secondary Talent slot.

Another panel appeared after Aaron pressed the Yes button, confirming and detailing information about his talent.

[The slot for Secondary Talent has been filled]

[Secondary Talent: Gravity Manipulation]

[Sub Talent:]

[2. God's Fist] [20000 MP]

[5. Area Control] [35000 MP]

[Rank: S]

[Stage: First]

[Talent Point: 70001/105000 TP]

[CP +7500]

'I'd better try this talent to fulfill my curiosity,' Aaron replied.

[Secondary Talent Activated]

[Sub Talent Activated]

[Neutral Gravity Step]

[MP -15000]

Feeling another force lifting Aaron's body, the shopkeeper clapped his hands while Jones looked mesmerized with rounded eyes in shock.

In front of them, Aaron floated freely without the aid of wings around the inner area of the shop.

"Haha! I love this talent."

"Of course, you will; no trash talents are in S rank."

"How much should I pay you for helping me?" asked Aaron, curious.

"There's no need, you have the slip, you don't need to pay."

"You're right!"

At this moment, Aaron was standing in the air leisurely; he could even sit with the help of the sub-talent.

Jones started clapping; he wanted to be a mage like Aaron. That made Aaron laugh at Jones' attitude.

Aaron deactivated his sub-talent and stepped closer to the shopkeeper. He thanked the shop owner for helping him get a good S-rank talent.

The man would be happy if Aaron were happy. He advised him to continue exploring the Dark Pillar because Aaron's future was not limited by the power he had. Aaron nodded, knowing what he had to do.

He said goodbye to the man who owned the shop. Jones joined Aaron in leaving the place. They walked away to return to the blacksmith's place while Aaron went to find Isabella and the others.

"Will we meet again later, Mr. Aaron?" asked Jones.

"Yes. If fate wills it, then we will meet again."

"I want to be a mage like you," said Jones, full of admiration.

Aaron smiled, his hand stretched forward, brushing the boy's hair. "Then start learning magic. I'll be waiting for you on the highest floor of this place."

"I will study hard!"

The Next Day.

City on the Fourth Floor.

Isabella and the others managed to increase the level of their servant beasts. They simultaneously leveled up to three, of course, hoping that the level increase could help him a lot in battle.

Aaron also said that he got a lot of things yesterday, but he hadn't had time to explain what he got. He hadn't told them about his secondary talent.

Aaron's journey would be easy and fun with the gravity manipulation talent. Previously, he had never seen anyone fly, let alone walk on air.

If Aaron showed off to the public, perhaps people would start to take notice. The best option was to be quiet and inconspicuous.

The door to Aaron's room was knocked, Liel came after Aaron let her in. Unlike Isabella or Clara, Liel, known for her tomboyish attitude and strong personality, looked sad and haggard when she came to Aaron.

"Why? What happened?" Aaron asked.

"I can't tell Alisha. I've sent her a message, but she hasn't replied."

"Maybe she's busy with Elvan. After all, she's a strong woman, not easily defeated by anyone."

"I hope so. I don't really like Elvan. That guy seems to have a bad impact on Alisha," Liel said.

"She will definitely let you know. You don't need to be so worried, Liel."

Liel nodded. Started to discard her negative thoughts and stepped closer to Aaron. She saw Aaron sitting beside the window of his room, still watching the crowd on the city streets.

"I haven't been able to find the Elemental Fading Potion. It looks like it can only be found on the 10th floor of the city."

"With our current strength, I think we can get up to the tenth floor quickly," Aaron said.

Just when the two were talking to each other, they were startled by a stone throw that shattered the window glass.

Aaron pulled Liel up and shielded her from the broken glass, something he never expected.

"FUCK!" shouted Liel, about to chase after the bad guys, but Aaron chose to stop her.

He saw the stone they threw; there was paper wrapped around it. Out of curiosity, Aaron took the paper and read the contents.

[This is for Denis! You're gonna die!]

Aaron crumpled the paper tightly, then burned it with his dark elemental magic. He clicked his tongue. He would never have thought that his identity would be known by the Night Liberators group.

"What is it? What does it say?"

"Always be on alert. There's a group after our lives!"
