Chapter 93: The 13th Sky Sword Squad
The three walked out of the place. Andrew was satisfied that Aaron was willing to join Sky Sword, especially since he had been sealed with a slave seal. That convinced Andrew even more.
Taking a ride on a whirlwind, the three went towards Sky Sword's HQ in the west. Silvianna ordered the siege members to split up and return to their guard posts.
Andrew took out an item from his digital storage, showing an earring with a magnet. He held it out to the side simply for Aaron to put it on.
Aaron pressed the earring long enough, successfully bringing up a system panel with the item's details.
[Item Details:]
[Name: Persona Camouflage Earrings]
[Durability: 100/100]
[Description: Useful for camouflaging the user's main appearance, the powerful camouflage ability comes from the chameleon monster's magic core]
"Use that thing now. You don't want them to discover your identity, do you?"
The young man nodded. He glued the magnetic earring to the left earlobe. At once, a purple light mixed with blue emerged from the earring and covered Aaron's entire body.
The camouflage magic seemed to be adjusting Aaron's body. It didn't take long for the light to completely disappear.
Andrew smiled and nodded. The system's work is quite simple; people will feel familiar with Aaron's face, but they won't know it for sure.
Even if they matched Aaron's fugitive sketch, they would still be unsure due to the effects of the persona camouflage.
Usually, Andrew used it when he was doing recon of a place. The only way for persona camouflage to fail was the anti-magic ability. However, there was no need for Aaron to worry about that. No Sky Sword member had such a talent.
The typhoon vortex continued to move until it arrived in front of the Sky Sword HQ. The group members who were in front of the HQ immediately knelt down and saluted Andrew's arrival.
Not a few of them were surprised to find Andrew arriving with a man who seemed familiar to them. However, they couldn't be sure who he was.
A man came out from inside the base. He was wearing a uniform with a coat attached to his back. Andrew smiled, he introduced the man to Aaron.
"He is the captain of Sky Sword's main raid team, Harold," Andrew said.
"I'm Harold. What's your name, boy?" asked Harold, stern and seemingly speaking like a punk.
'Using the name Aaron or Lewis would be suspicious. I'll have to think of another name,' said Aaron.
"Arthur," replied Aaron as he remembered the legend of King Arthur.
"It's a good name but must be matched with strong abilities."
Harold glanced up at Arthur, watching the red title spread over the young man. Without hesitation, he asked why Arthur held the title of murderer.
"It's because I killed one of the Dark Legion."
"Woah! Did you fight them inside or outside the arena?"
"I fought them outside," Arthur replied.
"Good! That's really good."
Andrew explained to Harold that he was interested in getting Arthur to join. Harold would gladly take him on as one of his raid team members. Still, Andrew had another decision to make.
He turned to Silvianna, Silvianna nodded and gave a loud order to all the members in the HQ to assemble. They were ordered to line up according to their squad of 5-8 people.
There were 27 squads in total, and the number of Sky Sword members at the headquarters was 182, with 112 men and 70 women.
Andrew explained that the total number of Sky Sword squads was 30, but three squads were on patrol duty.
Arthur nodded, looked back, and saw hundreds of people lined up neatly and uprightly according to their squad. They were all dressed in white and blue uniforms, and the person standing at the front was the captain of their squad.
Andrew invited Arthur to step towards one of the squads, and Arthur said yes, not knowing which squad would be his team later.
They stopped in front of the 13th Sky Sword squad, which totaled five people: two men and three women. The captain of the 13th squad was Sara, a woman with Chain Manipulation talent.
Seeing Andrew, Silvianna, and Harold arrive in front of her squad, Sara responded obediently by kneeling down, followed by the four members behind. Andrew smiled, asking Sara and the others to stand up.
"What will Leader Andrew do?"
"Most likely, he will give orders to the 13th team to clean the culvert."
"Fortunately, I'm not part of that weak team."
People from other squads started talking to each other about the 13th Squad. Arthur heard it all and felt an aura of hatred, insult, and humiliation from the other members towards the 13th Squad.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" shouted Harold, making the people's noise suddenly quiet.
"Sara?" called Andrew.
"13th Squad is ready for the mission, Leader Andrew!"
"He's Arthur. I brought him along because I thought his skills would be useful for Sky Sword."
Sara, 27 years old and single, greeted Arthur with a nod and looked at the young man's face, which she found quite handsome.
"Hello, Mr. Arthur," Sara greeted.
"I want him to join your squad," Andrew explained, surprising Harold, Sara, and the Sky Sword members of the other squad.
"Wait, Leader Andrew. He can defeat Dark Legion members; wouldn't it be better if he joined the main raid team?" asked Harold, questioning Andrew's decision.
Andrew shook his head. It was only natural for him to respond like that because few mages could kill the Dark Legion.
If only Harold knew that he was the Aaron who killed Bright, maybe chaos would happen in this place.
"No. The main raid team is full and enough. I think he'll fit in well with the 13th squad."
"What do you think, Arthur?" asked Andrew, turning around.
Arthur exchanged glances with several members of the 13th squad, they were quite curious why Andrew could recommend Arthur directly. Previously, only Harold had the right to decide where the new members would stay.
That provoked suspicion from the other members. However, due to the nature of the Sky Sword leader, who had the absolute right to decide, they could not refuse.
"If that's your decision, I don't mind."
"That's great!" said Andrew.
He reached out his hand and patted Sara lightly on her right shoulder. He entrusted Arthur to Sara and asked her to explain more about the Sky Sword. Sara smiled; she would gladly guide Arthur.
[ANNOUNCEMENT!]

Unexpectedly, a notification panel about the monster raid appeared on everyone's system panel. Arthur smiled. What Misa said yesterday turned out to be true; the raid would open tomorrow.
The excitement broke out again; many Sky Sword members were eager to explore the Dark Pillar maze.
Their goal was not to defeat the floor boss but to collect valuable items scattered around or appearing after killing monsters.
Harold stepped up to Andrew, saying the main raid team was ready to take on the floor boss tomorrow. Andrew was pleased with their readiness. But, he had a plan for this.
"The main raid team doesn't need to challenge the floor boss for tomorrow's raid, Harold," Andrew said, surprising Harold.
"Why?"
"Because the 13th Squad will do it."
